OldKeith
Look at the latest 2 officials! Everyone uses time.is and time.gov, and look how many people sign up too early. Coincidence? Idk. https://forums.pokemmo.eu/index.php?/topic/54432-double-trouble-weekend-saturday-june-20th/page-3#entry1083584 https://forums.pokemmo.eu/index.php?/topic/54373-water-master-night-19th-june/page-2 xXBlu3BreathXx, JIceJDragon, Bestfriends and 11 others 14 Link to comment
OldKeith
This is still a problem... and it affects your only end game content, officials. No hopes to see this fixed? Link to comment

BurntZebra
well you should contact the people who run the forum (IP.Board) since it seems that they are the ones who are in charge of the time. Or its just pokemmo staff spoonfeeding the community lies and excuses Link to comment

DoubleJ
So this looks like it's definitely going to be fixed, I mean it has to be, but one thing I'd request is that you let the player-base know when the change it made. For obvious reasons of course. DrCraig 1 Link to comment

Gunthug
I'm so confused about what's wrong with the forum clock...? Generally, people use http://www.time.gov/for the exact time, which assists you in event sign ups. In the past, the official time synced up nearly perfectly with the forums - hitting "post" on your sign up the second the clock hit X:50:00 was your best chance of being in the first 32 (some would press at X:49:59 but that's ballsy and can get you an early sign up) Recently, though, the forum clock became out of sync. You'll see a few events recently where there are 30+ sign ups at X:49 because of so many people using this tactic I mentioned. This is a huge problem when event sign ups are so time-based Noad 1 Link to comment

I see. My computer clock seems to be right on target with the forum clock. But maybe that's just my computer... Link to comment
Gilan
Sorry for the double post, but I think that it is relevant enough to warrant the bump :P I'm pretty sure this problem will be fixed tonight, as the world clock is set back by 1 second tonight (we get an extra second), which will sync the forum clock with that other one now. Or it's going to increase the gap by 1 second XD Link to comment

I'm not entirely sure why clocks have fallen out of sync but I don't think this is just isolated to these forums. Link to comment

Hassan
Alright after couple tests, We've figured out that it's usually 1 minute after the required registration time. This should make registering in the future less painful until they sync their clock. Link to comment

This should make registering in the future less painful until they sync their clock. Except that's totally wrong. Last week it was 31 seconds late, today it is 43. It's increasing gradually, not varying randomly. Also, everybody please stop spamming the forum with posts to test the actual delay. You can see the time when you edit your post, and you can edit an old post hidden somewhere in the forum. Just please stop spamming. Link to comment

Arimanius
We just got one though, "it's not our fault". But it is not Keith you've got to be a little bit more comprehensive about this, what can they do if owners of ip board don't give a shit? PS: and I feel you man I'm so fucking tired of seeing stupid people posting till 4 times in a row just to see how different the clock is instead of editing an old post Link to comment
OldKeith
Well, a solution can be a different way to sign up rather than on a messed up forum time? Such as opening a Challonge page when the tournament starts, the host would link it to the participants, and they can be first-come first-served. Way better than simply saying "meh it's out of our hands". Arimanius 1 Link to comment

Noad
Apparently the forum clock is now fixed, I asked PandaJJ to test it and he told me it was accurate now. Sorry again for any inconvenience caused by this during tournament sign ups. Arimanius 1 Link to comment
