I am and avid Pokemon player and recently stumbled upon this game and have quite and interest for it but i wonder what is the play-base of this game and is it worth playing over just getting an emulator?

This game has an activeish community and fun to meet new people who enjoy playing pokemon, but if you wanna go Competative then the game is life draining cause of all the grind especially for new people, but hey if you get lucky and get a shiny then you are in business.

In all seriousness, this is the only game you should ever consider if you're looking for a pokemon mmo, and it's not coming from someone who's still playing the game.

Scammers are all over the place though and you might want to learn some spanish if you're planning to spend time in vermilion ch1 (which is, for god know what reason, the place where you meet people and battle).

You can easily solve this by finding a good team.
