That makes sense. You may want to fix the punctuation in some areas too. You accidently spelled tail as "tale" so you could maybe re-read and fix it up. :)

That was on purpose : Hikari is writing, and she is not very good in english... Ok I'm just kidding lol, thanks ^^. I got it wrong because of that damn anime Fairy Tail, I'm sure of it!

Seven years. It had been seven long years since that day.

Leon hadn't honestly remembered what caused it to happen, or the details of it. All he seemed to remember was the feelings of sadness surrounding it. He had cried but that was only natural for a boy of 3. So many times he had asked his mother about it, but she was always hesitant to speak of it, and it quickly became a topic of awkward conversation between them. But that didn't stop the fact that his father had left because of it, leaving nothing behind but his Swablu.

But now Leon was 10, and it was time for him to make his way into the world and find answers. He brought a backpack downstairs and walked past the kitchen. A plate hit the tiled floor and shattered, followed quickly by the sounds of Leon's mother crying. "No! Not you too! I can't be alone!" Leon hated to see her like this, but he knew that some day he would be back, once he found out what had happened to his father. He muttered "I need to do this" before continuing for the door, tears streaming down his own cheeks as he lowered his head, hiding his shame behind his baseball cap.

From New Bark to Cyanwood, from Olivine to Mahogany, Leon had traveled far and wide in search for answers, in search of clues, in search of ... anything. But nothing had been found. All he had done was what any boy of ten does on this journey - Battle. He had fought 7 Gym Leaders in all the towns he had been in, and he had won each and every time, unphased by it, as if the act of battling was below him at this point. He had never cracked a smile, he had never shed a tear, it was all just a drop in the bucket for what he had hoped would climax soon. Every battle was waged with nothing but the Swablu his father had left him and it proved to do quite nicely for him, but despite this there never seemed to be any communication between the two. Swablu became strong and went unloved, seeming to be a pawn in Leon's game.

Finally Leon had arrived at Blackthorn, the final challenge before he would enter the Pokemon league, though something struck him as strange about this place. It was beautiful, surrounded by a lake and large walls of stone with lush green grass across the city. There was a peaceful atmosphere and many of the cityfolk seemed to be monks. It made one feel safe as though no harm could come to them here. But most of all it felt familiar, as if something had happened to Leon in his past, though he couldn't quite remember what. He quickly paced after the Gym he spotted in the distance as he had done in all towns before this, step after step, barely able to breathe with the anticipation, unable to take in the beauty of his surroundings and stop to sniff the roses. Leon had been utterly consumed by his past and felt it was impossible to move forward unless he found out what happened.

"Hahaha! No way, get out of here you freak!"

Leon looked forward towards the Gym where a woman with blue hair wearing a cape was laughing at a feeble man who knelt before her. The man looked weak and bony as if he didn't often eat. He wore ragged clothing that looked as though it was about to fall off his body with a few Pokeballs strewn on the grass before him. "Are you the Gym leader?" Leon said with a coldness towards the pathetic display. "Oh god, another one?" The blue woman let out a sigh and rubbed her forehead before turning to face the boy. "Look, I don't battle everybody who rolls into town, do you even have any badges?" She spoke with a heavily sarcastic and uninterested tone. Leon pulled out his case and opened it, revealing the seven other badges that he had. It was at this point that the man on the ground looked up to him wide-eyed and full of envy. "P-please, give me your badges! I'll do anything!" He spoke with a raspy voice and pathetic determination. "Get out of here!" The blue woman shouted before firmly planting the heel of her boot on the mans forehead, kicking him before turning towards the gym door, beckoning Leon to followed her as the man on the ground started to weep.

She lead Leon through a dark hallway leading out into a wide open room with two platforms for each trainer to stand. "Alright, so you're not bad. Let's see what you got!" The woman took her footing on the opposite side of the gym, quickly grasping a Pokeball and tossing it forward, a red light erupting as a Gyarados popped out. "Rrrgggawwwwrrrh!" Echoed loudly through the stadium from the massive blue beast. Unknown to the battlers, the man from outside had followed after them and crouched in the hallway to watch the battle between the two shrouded by the darkness. As Leon had done 7 times before he tossed his Pokeball forward, his Swablu popping out in a flash. "Go, Gyarados, Bite!" The Gyarados tore forward with his jaws wide in an attempt to bite the small creature, but with a mere tilt of his head Leon sent the Swablu to fly straight up and easily avoid the barreling beast. "Take down ..." Leon muttered before the Swablu dropped down roughly on the Gyarados below him, cracking into it loudly and smashing it off of the floor below. The Gyarados had instantly fainted into a red light, returning to the Pokeball in the Blue woman's hand. "Tch!" She cracked her jaw, throwing another Pokeball forward. "Don't get confident, brat! Go, Dragonair!"

"Thunder wave!" She yelled as electricity ripped through the stadium, enveloping the Swablu. It cried out in pain as it sunk in, stiffening it's movements as Swablu plummeted to the ground. A bead of sweat dripped down Leon's neck for the first time "Get up!" Leon shouted angrily, "Use Take Down again!" The Swablu twitched on the floor as it tried to get up, failing in it's attempt. "Kyahaha! Slam!" The blue woman shouted, the Dragonair immediately slamming it's body into the fallen Swablu, unable to defend itself. "Slam! Slam! Slam!" She kept shouting as the Dragonair did it's bidding, hitting it over and over as Leon clenched his teeth. "Swablu, c-come on! Get up!" Leon shouted, starting to for the first time get emotionally wrapped up in the well being of his Pokemon. "Y-you can do it! I believe in you!" His voice stuttered as tears streamed down his cheeks.

It was as though Swablu heard Leon's prayers and was deeply touched by the care of his master, for it became enveloped in a yellow lightning that pulsed throughout the stadium, blinding the trainers and the Dragonair. A blast was hurt before the Dragonair cried out and a thump echoed. Finally the light subsided and before the trainer stood a fainted Dragonair returning to the Pokeball and a majestic Altaria flying above it.

"A-Altaria! You evolved!" Leon cried out happily before wiping his eyes with his sleeve. "Alright! We can do this!" He clenched his fist and looked forward, finally acting as a team with his Pokemon. The woman narrowed her eyes and tossed her last Pokeball forward, a Kingdra popping out of it. "Alright, enough of this! Kingdra, Dragon Pulse!" Leon pushed his hand forward with a point "You too, Altaria! Dragon Pulse!"

The lights flickered as the beams danced before the beak and snout of the beasts, clashing against eachother in a bright light that struggled, each Pokemon fighting as hard as they could for their master. Everything seemed calm for a second, and Leon felt as though he was on the edge of victory and ever closer to reaching his destiny, a smile crossing his face for the first time in as long as he could remember.

Until - the Kingdra's blast held true and overpowered the Altaria, smashing him against the wall with the bright beam and fainting the beast which then returned to Leon's Pokeball.

"N-no ... I ... lost?" A stunned expression was planted on his face as he stumbled back and fell onto the floor, his badge case falling and the individual badges clicking off into seperate directions. Leon didn't even pick them up, simply holding onto the Pokeball of his friend and stammered towards the entrance of the gym to where the man from outside was standing. He stepped out from the light after watching the battle, a look of sorrow on his face as he cried.

"S-Swablu ... Leon?!"

The shocked expression etched itself into Leon's features further as his jaw dropped, stepping backwards as he raised a hand to cover his mouth.

"Dad?!"
There he was. He stood there, awestruck by what had just happened. Trickles of sweat were rolling down his head. He couldn't believe it. His starter Pokemon; his most prized possession; his trump card - the great Swampert had fallen. This Crawdaunt which he had underestimated before was now starting to become a pain.

John, the young Pokemon trainer then lowered his head, trying to decide which Pokemon he should send out next. Opposite to him was standing whom many called the best gym leader of Hoenn - Juan. Juan was elegant, yet strong. John's best bet was to send out his Ludicolo, which was part grass type. 'Go, Ludicolo!' John said. He had a strategy. He could use rain dance which would benefit Ludicolo, no doubt. But he also knew it would benefit his opponent. He decided to take the risk. So Ludicolo used rain dance. A heavy shower started pouring in. Then there came the powerful crunch from the Crawdaunt. Ludicolo survived. 'Ludicolo, use giga drain!' said John. Swiftly, Ludicolo swooped in and drained energy from the Crawdaunt. Surprisingly, it was no longer able to battle.

'Not bad' said Juan. 'You seem to have a strong bond with your pokemon. Not bad at all. For my next Pokemon, I choose you, Sealeo!'

'A Sealeo huh? This shouldn't be too hard.', thought John. Juan had two Pokemon left, so did John.

'Ludicolo, Use giga drain!'

Ludicolo swooped in swiftly. The rain was really boosting him, and his swift swim ability was letting him move around faster than what the eye could capture. It drained energy from the Sealeo. Sealeo, looking sturdy and bulky was able to survive. 'Sealeo, use body slam!', ordered the elegant gym leader.

The fat blue blob literally squashed the poor Ludicolo. Ludicolo, who was so fast before now couldn't move a muscle. 'Shit!', said John. Ludicolo was paralysed and couldn't move. Taking advantage of this, Juan commanded, 'Finish him. Use aurora beam!' So Sealeo did. Ludicolo was unable to battle.

John knew Sealeo was already weakened. Plus, Juan had one more Pokemon left. What's worst he had absolutely no idea what it was. He was left with one Pokemon. As usual, he lowered his head. Then, he slowly took out his pokeball, and sent out what was his last Pokemon.

'Go, Gardevoir.' said John.

'Alright, Gardevoir, your foe's weak. Go get 'em. Use psychic.'

Gardevoir with it's psychic powers lifted Sealeo in absolute mid-air and then with a single blink of an eye sent it's foe flying. Sealeo was unable to battle.

'You're strong John. Perhaps someday you might even beat the champion and become the champion yourself. But you'd have to beat me first. Alright. My last Pokemon. Here goes. I choose you, Kingdra!'

A moment of quiteness filled the air, but only briefly. 'Alright, Kingdra! Let's go! Use water pulse!' said Juan. Kingdra, which was agitated then swiftly let go of a pulse of strong water blast. Gardevoir was struck by the pulse.

'Hang in there, Gardevoir! Use calm mind.' said John.

'What? A status move? Why would you do that? No matter, let us finish this. Use ice beam Kingdra.' A thin beam of ice struck Gardevoir. It survived, but barely.

'You hurry a lot, Juan. It is one of your weak points'

'Says the guy whose Pokemon is about to faint.'

'Alright Gardevoir, hit 'em with your best shot, psychic!'

Gardevoir then lifted Kingdra in mid air and sent it flying. Kingdra was unable to battle. 'What? Did you just one-shot my Kingdra? That is impossible! Your Gardevoir, it's really strong. Have I, the great Juan really been defeated?'

'So it seems'

'Well, kudos to you young lad. You are really decieving, you look so average and here you are, defeating the gym leader of Sootopolis like it was nobody's business.

'I did struggle a little.'

'Well, a win is a win. Here you go, this is the rain badge. You deserve it.'

John knew what this meant. He thought to himself, 'Pokemon league, here I come!'
Well here we are.

IGN Rigamorty

My story. 1399 words.
I step into the Ecruteak Gym cautiously, and I would say everyone should. With the lack of a floor in most places it's dangerous. Despite the multiple visits, I still get a terrible chill upon entering. My first time in here Medium Edith almost killed me. She startled me while I was nearing a corner on the invisible path. Today though was the third time I'd traveled this path, and I could probably do it with my eyes closed.

  "Good of you to have come." There it is. That cool, calm, yet ominous voice. I squint my eyes to try and see in front of me, when the lights on each side of him finally flick on. There he stands. So young, so proud. "We will have a four on four Pokemon battle. If you win, you get to leave with the Fog Badge. If you lose, I'm sure I'll see you again." He taunts me.
  It's time, I wish I could muster up the courage to even say something to him, but I can't. I'll let them do the talking for me.
"Go, Dusknoir" I shout, tossing my pokeball.
Without a word he sends out his first pokemon, Drifblim.
The Drifblim who managed to take out three of my Pokemon my first time around, and two the second.
Drifblim quickly fires off a shadow ball, already bringing Dusknoir to the edge of fainting, but at least he survived, and now it's our turn.
Dusknoir approaches the Drifblim delivering a strong Shadow Punch, dealing just over 60% of Drifblim's HP in damage.
Just as Drifblim is preparing to end Dusknoir with a second Shadow Ball I command "Go, hit it with Shadow Sneak!"
The move just barely manages to KO. This was it. The first time I had ever taken the lead on him. Or so I thought.
As the Shadow Sneak connected it happened. Drifblim suddenly popped. It was Aftermath. Drifblim managed to take Dusknoir down with it.
  Now here I was, back at square one.  Now I'm in more trouble than before. In every match as a gym leader, he sends out the same Pokemon first, Drifblim. Now that it's gone, and we've both got to make a choice, I don't know which of his Pokemon are coming. I'll make the safest choice I can, the Pokemon with no weakness.
  Almost simultaneously we toss out our next Pokemon.
  On my side stands the short, shaky, all around creepy Pokemon, Sableye.
  On his side is probably the most well known ghost-type around, Gengar.
  Seeing a Gengar on his side truly worries me though. You'd think now that I can see what Pokemon he has sent out, I'd feel more secure with what could happen next, but no. The thing about Gengar is that it is one of the most versatile Pokemon to exist, so I have no idea what to expect.
  "Gengar, use Shadow Punch."
  Great. A Physical hitting Gengar.
Sableye takes the hit from Shadow Punch but easily Recovers off the damage. The Gengar quickly comes forward with a second Shadow Punch, and Sableye uses this oppurtunity to hit it with Knock Off. The item knocked off was a Lum Berry. This opens me up to two options. I can either switch out, or I can hope to get lucky.
  I'm going for it.
  "Sableye, Swagger!"
  Gengar did not look happy. It was angry, and confused. Just how I wanted it. The next Shadow Punch from Gengar lands succesfully. Sableye is barely standing, probably at about 25% from both the Shadow Punch earlier and then this boosted one. Thankfully the little Prankster I know and love can get in another Recover before Gengar comes back for another hit.
  And that plan worked as well as I could have ever hoped. Sableye gets to recover, and then Gengar hurt itself in confusion, getting me my Second KO.
  Morty sends in his next Pokemon. Sableye.
  His Sableye is faster than mine, and it always has been. I thought having Prankster might help me, so I tell my Sableye to use Swagger. Before it could, it was already confused from the opposing Sableye's Swagger. Why would I ever think this guy wouldn't have a Prankster Sableye. No one would run Keen Eye, it's useless.
  My Sableye hit itself in confusion, and it didn't do all too much damage. About 20% I'd say. I guess I might as well just try again. With his Sableye going first, I knew it'd be another status move. It was bad, he used Toxic.
  Just my luck, my Sableye hits himself again. Between hurting himself and being Toxic'd it's not looking good. I'd better use Recover this turn, it's the safest move. Even if I hit myself again, Sableye will still be up for another turn to try once more. Or so I thought. His Sableye used Swagger again. My Sableye was now at about triple his normal attack, and still confused. '
  A higher being must be showing mercy on me in this moment, because Sableye succeeded in using Recover. Being back in the green gave me all the confidence I needed to stay in and hope for the best. I'm going for a Knock Off.
  It seems though that he was also just winging it and hoping for the best, because he hit me with another Swagger. He must be feeling really lucky right now, because there's no way he's going to live if I manage to hit. The next thing I know I see my Sableye snap out of confusion. Yes. It's happening.
  My Sableye punishes his with this huge, max attack Knock Off. You might be wondering "Gee I wonder what item you're going to knock off of this poor sucker of a Sableye that just got blasted back into the afterlife." The answer being Focus Sash.
  I knocked off his Focus Sash. So you know what that means? He was holding a Focus Sash. His Sableye is still standing. My Sableye takes more damage from Toxic.
  Okay, this is fine. Even if I lose Sableye, I've got two more Pokemon, he has just one more. He'd need some good luck just to beat Sableye here with another Swagger anyway.
  I don't know why in the world I expected a Swagger. His Sableye launches a strong Shadow Ball at me. Nearly KOing, but my Sableye manages to hang on and KO with the Knock Off, only to fall shortly after to the Toxic.
  I'm in a good spot. I've got two Pokemon left and he has just one. What could go wrong?
  Each of us send in our next Pokemon. I've got Banette, and he throws out the staple of his team, his famous Mismagius. Easy enough. He'll think he's faster, and that he'll One Hit KO. So I'll just hit him with a strong Sucker Punch for the win.
  Sucker Punch failed. Why? What is he doing? He must have a plan.. some sort of scheme.. a.. "Mismagius use Nasty Plot!"
  A Nasty Plot. Oh god. This Mismagius is about to hit like a ton of bricks. But it's okay. I can still just Sucker Punch. Aaand it failed.
   His Mismagius uses Torment. Banette can't Sucker Punch again. He outplayed me so easily there. I feel ashamed. Welp. No other choice. Mostly because Banette has a Choice Band, time to Struggle. Before Banette gets a chance to even try to move, Mismagius sends it to oblivion with Shadow Ball.
  Here it is. My secret weapon. "Go, Weavile!" I know, I know, Weavile isn't even a ghost type. Well despite that it's still my favorite Pokemon, so I can excuse it's attatchment to the world of the living I guess.
  This is just the finish I could have ever asked for. It was over. I win. He can't survive this next hit. "Go Weavile, finish it with Night Slash!" Easily KOs. Or it should have. But I swear there's a Focus Sash vendor somewhere out there who is out to get me.
  Mismagius launches another Shadow Ball. This still can't KO me right? A critical hit. Oh god why. A tear rolls down my cheek,  but Weavile is still standing. With one more Night Slash it's all over.
"I don't think our potentials are so different. But you seem to have something more than that... So be it. This Badge is yours."
A little sad that the contest was limited to 1500 words. I had to cut out a lot of detail, and trim the 6v6 battle down to 4v4. I'm still happy with the result I suppose, but I was having fun. I actually really liked this prompt, given that I obviously have one particular favorite gym leader. Kinda got a little too into it though, I have like 7 tabs open just from looking things up about the gym, the leader, and even running calcs to keep it "realistic" which was probably unnecessary, but more fun for me.

Oh shit.... you wrote about Ecruteak Gym also... damnit.

Then there came the powerful crabhammer from the Crawdaunt.

He thought to himself, 'Pokemon league, here I come!'
aw! somebody beat me to a battle with Juan >.>

welp this is what i get for keeping it for the last minute <.<

This is basically a story about my first time playing Pokemon Red (Exaggerated a bit.... a lot)
The day that every boy and girl Is waiting for, the day when he or she is most excited. On this particular day the grass looks greener, the birds sing louder and the sky shimmers even in the daytime. That's right, it's the 10th birthday of Shiro Mizuochi, an enthusiastic young boy who dreams of one day becoming the Pokemon champion of the Kanto region.

Getting as far as Pewter City within a few weeks, Shiro stares at the doors of a peculiar building. "The Pewter City Gym..." looking up at the sign of the Gym, Shiro starts to get nervous. "I wonder what kind of Pokemon the leader uses." Shiro sighs, then takes a deep breath to calm his nerves. Just then, the doors open to reveal a tall man with brown spiked hair.

"And who might you be?" asks the man looking puzzled, "I... I'm Shiro Mizuochi,I.. I'm here to challenge the Gym leader." Shiro looks down to his feet, he can't seem to control his nerves. "Oh I see..." Looking disappointed in Shiro's resolve, the man decides to invite Shiro into the Gym. After going down a few corridors, they finally emerge to a huge indoor arena completely lit up made especially for battles with a Gym leader.

Looking around in awe, Shiro's nervousness is replaced by excitement. "Oh wow! This place is huge!" It was then where Shiro noticed the man standing at the other end with a Pokeball in his hand. "Wait.. so you're the Gym Leader?" looking confused, Shiro takes a step back. "That's right, I'm Brock the Pewter City Gym leader" Shiro's nerves started up again as Brock explained about the gym.

Big rocks lay around the arena almost like they were specifically placed that way to test challengers. Brock explained that he uses rock type Pokemon and that he will only be using 2 because Shiro didn't have any Gym badges. "So... Now that you understand how Gym battles work." Says Brock "I think it's time to get this show on the road." Shiro nods and his first Gym battle begins.

"GO, GEODUDE!" Brock throws his Pokeball which then pops open to reveal Geodude, a rock type Pokemon that looks like a rock with arms. "So that's Geodude huh?" Shiro throws his Pokeball which revealed a small purple creature. "A Rattata?" Brock looked down. "I suppose they have to start somewhere." Rattata and Geodude stared at each other, each waiting for it's trainer's command.

"Rattata! use Tackle!" Upon hearing it's trainers command, Rattata sprung into action charging for a full body tackle on Geodude. Sensing no immediate threat, Brock stands still with his arms folded, waiting for the right moment to strike. As expected, Rattata slams into Geodude with full force only to bounce off in mid-air. Sensing Rattata's vulnerability, Brock orders an attack from Geodude "Now! use tackle!" Geodude rams into Rattata sending it flying into one of the rocks laying around the arena.

"oh no! Rattata!" Shiro looked at Rattata's unconscious body in shock, he could not believe it was taken down with only one hit. Looking frustrated, Shiro one of the two remaining Pokeballs attached to his belt. "What to do?" Ponders Shiro. "What are you waiting for?" asks Brock. "you have other Pokemon don't you?" Shiro smiled as if to just now realise that he could use his other Pokemon. "I do, and I will use the Pokemon I started my Journey with"

Shiro throws his second Pokeball which bursts open and reveals a red lizard with a burning flame on the end of it's tail. "You ready, Charmeleon?" Charmeleon roars. "Let's win this!" Brock smiles and gives Shiro the first move. "Charmeleon! Use Ember!" Upon hearing the command, Charmeleon Jumps into the air towards Geodude and then releases a dozen embers from it's mouth directed at Geodude.

The ember reach it's target but doesn't seem to have inflicted a lot of damage. "Geodude! Tackle!" Brock has Geodude bounce off towards a still airborne Charmeleon. "Now! Use Metal Claw!" Timing his attack with Geodude's movements, Charmeleon's claws brighten. "knock 'em down!" Shouts Shiro, with a swift swing of it's claws, Charmeleon slashes Geodude and sends it plummeting to the Ground.

Having hit the ground hard, Geodude lay unconscious. "Very impressive, at least you now know a rock type's weakness" Says Brock returning Geodude to it's Pokeball. "Now the real battle begins." Brock throws his second and last Pokeball which reveals a huge snake-like rock Pokemon. "Lets see how you deal with my Onix." Looking up at the huge Pokemon, Shiro gasps. "This might be a bit difficult." Upon feeling Shiro's discouragement, Brock orders Onix to use Bide.

"Bide? what kind of move is that?" Asks Shiro. "When Onix uses Bide, it can't attack until after two turns" Brock explaines. "After the two turns is up, Onix will deal double the damage it was dealt to the opponent." Shiro smerks. "heh, what make you think it will last?" Before waiting for an answer, Shiro orders Charmeleon to use Metal Claw on Onix. Charmeleon's attack connects which staggers Onix. "Once more!" Exclaims Shiro.

Charmeleon's second attack connects and sends Onix falling to the ground. "See what I mean? you put too much faith in your abilities." Says Shiro. "You're one to talk... Onix! Do your thing!" Hearing it's trainer, Onix slowly raises and starts to glow. "Attack!" Shiro is shocked at the sight of Charmeleon being hurled across the arena slamming into the wall. "What!? No!" To Shiro's surprise, Charmeleon was unconscious.

With Charmeleon's loss, Shiro began to doubt himself. "How am I supposed to win now?" Says Shiro looking down in defeat. "How can you be sure you tried your best if you give up now?" Shiro looks up upon hearing Brock's words. "No matter the kind of opponent you face" Says Brock. "Make sure you fight with every last strength, every last Pokemon you have" Shiro clenches his fists finally looking determined. "You're right! I have one Pokemon left, and I know it will bring us victory!"

Brock smiles, finally seeing determination in Shiro's eyes. "Let's see what you got" Shiro nods and throws his last Pokeball. the Pokeball opens and a creature pops out. Brock stared at the Pokemon. "Is that a...?" Shiro grits his teeth. "Mankey! Use Fury Swipe!" Hearing his command, the small roundish monkey looking Pokemon raced towards a staggering Onix. "Onix! Use Tackle!" Onix charges and rams into Mankey sending it flying into some rocks around the arena.

"Mankey! Don't quit!" Mankey staggers to it's feet just barely holding on. "Onix! Finish it!" Onix charges for a second Tackle. "Get out of the way!" Mankey rolls out of the way of Onix's attack just in time. "Quick! Use Low Kick!!" While Onix was trying to gain it's balance, Mankey comes in quick with a low sweeping kick knocking Onix down. Shiro clenches his fists hoping that Onix wouldn't get back up again. "I.. It's over" Says Brock. Shiro face brightens in delight. "I... I Won!!!" Indeed he had won, Onix lay unconscious while Mankey stands tall.

"You did very well" Brock hands Shiro a small grey badge. "What's this?" Shiro asks. "It's the Bolder Badge" Brock explained. "It's proof that you defeated the Pewter City Gym leader" Shiro smiled and thanked Brock for the badge. "Don't stop here though" Says Brock. "There are seven more Gym leaders out there for you to defeat" Brock smiles and taps Shiro on the shoulder. "Continue to grow and befriend more Pokemon" Shiro looks down at Mankey and smiles. "I will, I'm going to be a champion!"

Shiro left the Gym with his head held high, remembering Brock's words as he headed to the Pokemon Centre. "I'm going to be a champion, of that I'm sure" His heart filled with hope for the future, Shiro continues his quest to be the Pokemon League Champion.

Shouts Shiro, with a swift swing of it's claws, Charmeleon slashes Geodude and sends it plummeting to the Ground.

Gym Leader: Blue - Viridian City Gym Leader (Gold/Silver/Crystal/Heartgold/Soulsilver)

For my entry I tried to put a twist on the style of writing.
I also tried to incorporate a lot of elements from the actual games to spice things up :P
~Mt.Silver~

Josh: NO! WATCH OUT!

25gwi39.jpg

Josh runs to defend his severely wounded ESPEON after being mauled by a rampaging URSARING.

Josh: What’s wrong with you? Someone steal ol’ Pooh bear’s honey?

The enraged, wild Pokemon charges at the trainer.

Josh: Oh Shii—

???:  PIDGEOT! SKY ATTACK!

The wild URSARING was knocked out cold by the pokemon swooping down from the heavens.

???:  Hey! Numbskull! Don’t be provoking wild pokemon or next time you will be that bear’s toothpick!

Josh: First off, I needed the training. Second, that bozo was looking at me funny!

???: Whatever…Smell ya la-

Josh: Wait!! That catchphrase...Your Blue! You’re the former champion that only lasted a day!

Blue: That's me. Ive moved on to bigger and better things, considering I have my own gym in Viridian.

Josh: Well, that guy you called a “numbskull” is actually the reigning champion for your information.

Blue: YOUR'RE THE CHAMPION? I HAD NO IDEA THE POKEMON LEAGUE BECAME SUCH A JOKE!

Josh: In the flesh bud and no, it wasn’t a joke. It was just easy for a trainer of my caliber.

Blue: …. Your nothing like…. HIM….

Josh: Well… I did last more than a day for your information.

Blue: ENOUGH! A trainer that loses to wild pokemon does not have what it takes to be a true champion! It isn’t possible for someone as naïve as you to hold that title! Prove to me that you deserve that title and face me!

Josh: Hate to break it to ya’ Blue… But my pokemon are tuckered out from training and being harassed by rampant bears.

Blue: I guess I was right.... You’re no champion after all…

Josh: I’ve heard you were annoying, but I never thought u were THIS annoying!

Blue: As the viridian city gym leader I’ll give you an offer you can’t refuse. If you defeat one of my pokemon, not only will you be recognized of defeating my gym, you will also receive the Earth badge and the TM that goes with it.

Josh: What’s the catch?

Blue: You have to battle me right here, right now and if you lose, you have to step down as champion.

Josh smirks as he reaches for his pokeballs.

Josh: Piece of cake. My remaining 3 versus your 1. You’re on!

Blue: Did I forget to mention no items?

Josh: Dangit. Not as easy I thought but, I still accept!

Blue: What are you waiting for?

BOTH: BATTLE!

Blue: I can only choose one pokemon so…..GO ARCANINE!

Josh: Nice choice! Good thing my best pokemon is a Water type! GO FERALIGATR!

4tkrhl.png

Blue: If I had a dollar for every time I heard a trainer  bragging about his starter pokemon I would be rich.

Josh: Whatever, FERALIGATR! WATERFALL!

Blue: ARCANINE! THUNDER FANG!

Josh: THUNDER FANG!? Oh, crap! Wait..Why didn’t my waterfall do massive damage to your ARCANINE?

Blue: It's called intimidate.  When ARCANINE steps onto the field, your pokemon lose attack power. I must say, you're pretty stupid considering you're the champion.

Josh: FERALIGATR can’t take another THUNDER FANG….Return! FERALIGATR! GO! DRAGONITE!

jausfq.png

Blue: I’ll just take this time while you switch to use MORNING SUN!

Josh: grrr…(this is a lot harder than I expected..) DRAGONITE! DRAGON CLAW!

Blue: Hit him with a TOXIC, ARCANINE!

Josh: You’re going to toxic stall me aren’t you?

Blue: what are you going to do about it, champ?

Josh: This! DRAGONITE! DRAGON CLAW! (Dragonite …. I believe in you buddy! Hit him where it hurts! You can get that CRITICAL HIT!)

The monotony continues with a spectacle of blazing suns and ferocious claws being swung.
DRAGONITE starts to fatigue from the poison as ARCANINE stands majestic without a scratch on the beast’s body.

Blue: Tsk, Tsk…. Relying on luck to defeat me? How naïve can you be? Is that really how you got this far? You’re pathetic Josh… Letting your own pokemon faint slowly and painfully. You don’t have any love for your pokemon. I was like you… until an old friend opened my eyes… I believe in my pokemon now thanks to him. It’s the reason why a naïve trainer like you will never win against me!

Josh: I’m nothing like you! Now, stop lecturing me and fight, old man!

Blue: Whatever you say. ARCANINE! Put that poor pokemon out of its misery. THUNDER FANG!

Josh: DRAGONITE! Return! I’m sorry buddy…. You’re going to pay for that one blue!
GO! AERODACTYL!

2cmvfpu.png

Blue: You don’t learn do you? You’re doing great ARCANINE! Keep it up with another THUNDER FANG!

Josh: Not so fast! AERODACTYL! PROTECT!

Blue: Delaying the inevitable? Oh well… Keep hitting him with THUNDER FANG!

Josh: FLY, AERODACTYL!

Blue: More evading, Josh? Does this have to do with what happened to DRAGONITE?

The battle continues with AERODACTYL flying through the air and protecting each time ARCANINE comes close. ARCANINE’s thunder fang attack glows far stronger than the previous fight with DRAGONITE. Unfortunately for our hero, ARCANINE finally lands an effective hit on AERODACTYL.

Josh: You did what you had to do…AERODACTYL….Return…

Blue: Hahahaha! It looks like our champion has fallen! Send out your weak starter and let’s end this. I’m growing tired and want to go home. I’ve had enough of you.

Josh grins

Josh: I’ll gladly end this! GO! FERALIGATR! WATERFALL!

Blue: You know what to do ARCANINE! Hit him with another THUNDER FANG!

4tkrhl.jpg

FERALIGATR manages to hit ARCANINE but is fatally wounded from a thunder fang. FERALIGATR then falls to the ground defeated.

Blue: It must really be embarrassing. The champion taken down by an opponent with one pokemon…. Heck, I also used only one move!

FERALIGATR struggles but  manages to stand back up.

Blue: Just end the battle. I don’t want to hurt your pokemon anymore. Face it, even if thunder fang misses, another WATERFALL won’t defeat my ARCANINE.

Josh: ….That’s where you’re wrong…

Blue: You’re delusional. Finish this ARACANINE. End him with a final THUNDER FANG.

ARCANINE clenches its teeth together; trying to create sparks but surprisingly fails.

Blue: ARCANINE! What’s wrong?!

Josh: It’s tired of doing that move Blue. It can’t use it anymore.

Blue: What!

Josh: You’re not the only one that can use abilities. Remember my AERODACTYL? He has an ability called PRESSURE. It makes it so pokemon that attack him use up more of their energy. I used it to drain away the one move that can affect FERALIAGTR! Am I as naïve as you thought I was Blue?

Blue grins

Blue: It was a clever strategy. It’s a shame your precious FERALIGATR still can’t KO my pokemon. Give up!

Josh: I’ll never give up! FERALIGATR and I have been through too much to throw everything away! Now it’s my turn to lecture you Blue. Being a pokemon trainer isn’t about obtaining a title or the fame that comes with it. It isn’t about being the champion! It’s about the adventure! Its about the people and pokemon you meet! Being a strong trainer isn’t about training, or strategy or how much you say you “love” your pokemon. It’s about the bond you share! Me and FERALIGATR’s bond is unbreakable! That’s what makes us powerful and that’s why we are going to beat you!

FERALIGATR’s body begins to emit a brilliant blue aura. His eyes glow red as his trainers words reach him.

Blue: What’s happening!?

Josh: It’s FERALIGATR’s ability Torrent. We get stronger when we are close to being defeated! Now FERALIGATR! Finish him with WATERFALL!!!

Blue: This battle just got a whole lot more interesting! Let’s give him our all! ARCANINE! FLARE BLITZ!

The two Pokemon collide with a dazzling display of water and fire. Both pokemon giving their all despite the condition they are in.

Josh: FERALIGATR you can’t give up now!

Steam erupts from the collision engulfing the entire battlefield in a dense fog. A chilling silence falls as the trainers are eager to see the results.

The fog settles….

Blue: I don’t believe it..

The battlefield is withered with flames and puddles. FERALIGATR kneels on one knee next to his defeated opponent ARCANINE.

Josh: FERALIGATR! You did it!

The trainer rushes to hug his adored pokemon before returning him to his pokeball to rest.

Blue: Well, as promised, here is the Earth badge and TM 92. You deserve it Josh. You gave me an interesting battle and taught me something new. What are you going to do now that you have defeated all the gyms in Johto and Kanto?

Josh: I’m gonna’ scale mt. Silver for any rare and legendary pokemon.

Blue: Oh really? Well, I can tell you something very legendary is atop this mountain. I wish you the best of luck. Smell ya later!............ champ!

Blue gives a friendly smile as he flies away on his PIDGEOT.

Blue: (You better watch out…the new champion is coming for you….Red)

Well, finally made a story for this. Hopefully it has a shot.

Enjoy!
Just one more….!

“NO!” Lt.Surge cried. The strong sound of the Earth Power striking down his Electivire reverberated throughout the gigantic stadium. A collective sound, coming from the audience, rejuvenated Kyle's momentum.

“And the winner is Kyle! He will move on to the final round of the Pokemon World Tournament!” Swampert and Galvantula cried out in happiness, Kyle also.

“I've come this far,” he whispered. “I'm not about to give up so easily now!” As his Pokemon followed him out the main stadium entrance, Kyle wondered who he would face tomorrow. And more importantly, if he could win or not.

The Pokemon World Tournament is a prestigious event. Only the best of the best of trainers can even enter the competition, and most of them happened to be Gym Leaders from various regions of the Pokemon world. Kyle knew most of his challengers, as he had fought them before when he was a young aspiring trainer, a noob if you will. Walking onto the stage, he faced the familiar entrance speech the announcer gave to him. He relished in it much, but he could not shake the fact that it pressured him, even neck deep in the final round. As he sat back and listened to his opponents entrance, he nearly choked on his spit.

“All the way from Mossdeep City! The psychic duo, ready for liftoff with their fabulous combinations! Give it up for TATE and LIZAAAAAA!”

“Not again,” Kyle groaned. Swampert shuddered, reading Kyle's mind. As the twins made their way to face him. Kyle squeezed his badge case, remembering their previous bout.

~~~
“Hehehe… were you surprised?”
“Fufufu… were you surprised?”
“That there are two gym leaders?”
“That there are two gym leaders?” Kyles face went blank at the twins speech, wanting them to shut up in his mind.
“Look, I sorta came here to win a badge, I could really care less whether you-”
“We're twins!”
“We're twins!” Oh brother, Kyle thought.
“Hey, have patience. Don't 'oh brother' us!”
“Hey, have patience. Don't 'oh brother' us!” It didn't need to be repeated. All the color drained from Kyle, knowing they could read his mind.
“We don't need to talk because...”
“We can each determine what…”
“The other is thinking...”
“All in our minds!”
“This combination of ours...”
“Can you beat it?” Kyle stole a quick glance at his Swampert. The mud fish sighed his name quietly. Kyle could infer that Swampert was anxious to get going.
“Alright so when are we-”
“Now hold on challenger! This gym battle is going to run under the DOUBLES format! I suggest you bring four Pokemon with you, as we have four as well,” the twins informed him. This was a little too much, even for his taste. Kyle straightened his posture; he wanted to look good for this battle as it was the last stretch of gym battles in the Hoenn region. The twins seemed a little too excited for the fight. I mean, they surely had done this a million times over right? How do they maintain such enthusiasm over a tedious job?
“Xatu! Claydol! Do us proud!” The twins even threw out their Pokemon at the same time. Can it get any worse? Yes. Yes it can. The familiar white light burst out, revealing a stout bird with the most soul piercing eyes Kyle had ever seen. The other spun its short clay arms around, looking at him with many eyes. Very intimidating opponents indeed.
~~~

“Going with the same leads I see. You two never change,” Kyle laughed dryly.

“It seems you have matured as well! Far from the impatient child who challenged us the first time!” the twins said.

“Speak for yourself! Things change!”

“Whatever! Let us begin Kyle! Xatu use Sunny Day!” The air grew humid at the blink of an eye, the sun radiating from atop the vast stadium. It felt as if the whole world would melt around Kyle.

“Swampert, use Ice Punch on the Xatu!”

“Not so fast! Claydol use-”

~~~
“-Protect!” Kyles mouth gaped open at the teamwork of the two, Claydol easily shielding Xatu from the attack. He felt outclassed. Outmatched even. His team had not prepared for this.
“Swampert and Glalie, use Waterfall and Ice Beam!”
“Foolish boy! But we will let you carry on. Xatu use Protect and Claydol, Solarbeam!” It happened in an instant, the effect cut deep inside Kyle. The sun washed over Claydol, the white beam of light invading Swamperts pores and knocking him out effortlessly. Glalie's Ice Beam attack was nothing to the impervious Protect, as it had no effect. Kyle had to withdraw his defeated starter as Glalie reared up to see Xatu towering over him.
“Xatu, Psychic!”
~~~

“Not this time! You won't defeat Glalie that easily! Crunch it!” Tate and Liza nodded in approval as the teeth of the Glalie sank deep into Xatu's body. The bird let out a cry as it got flailed around helplessly by the maw of Glalie. Had Glalie not learned Crunch, then the battle would've gone the way it did before, down two Pokemon in less than a minute. But Kyle knew this, and he learned from his mistakes. He grinned at the sound of the twins returning Xatu, Swampert and Glalie face forward against Claydol. The floating doll shuddered at the two.

~~~
“Lucky critical hit,” the twin muttered, Xatu falling before them. The sweat began to drip off of Kyle's forehead now. This had been his third attempt at the badge and he believed he was getting used to Tate and Liza's tactics. But he hadn't even seen any of their other pokemon besides Xatu and Claydol, so he was anxious to see what they would bring.
“Tate, you wanna bring him out?” his sister asked.
“Sure! Lunatone, light him up!” Kyle immediatedly recognized Lunatone, he had fought several of them in Meteor Falls training to fight Flannery. This one looked a little peculiar however, as a scar was plastered on the side of it, near its red eye.
“Claydol, Earthquake!” Liza shouted.
“Stand strong you two!” Kyle ordered to the cowering Swampert and Glalie as a huge tremor ripped through them, causing massive injuries. Lunatone, Kyle thought. Lunatone isn't affected by Earthquake because of it's Levitate ability. Very clever.
“Ice Beam Lunatone! Freeze the Swampert to it's core!” Suddenly, both the twins and Kyle were shocked when Glalie instinctively charged forth, taking the attack for Swampert. Swampert stared down at his downed friend with a tear in his right eye.
~~~

“Glalie… you remember.” The ball of ice grinned slightly, clocking out for the fight. Galvantula soon rose to take his place.

“A Galvantula. Very unique pokemon! We remember it well! But can it help against this?! Claydol, Earthquake!”

“Earth Power Swampert! Counter it!” A large crater full of viscous magma held fast against the strong tremor, the two attacks countering each other perfectly in the middle of the arena.

“Hey, that stadium took us seven weeks to polish! Easy there!” the announcer shouted.

“Signal Beam Galvantula! Don't let up!” Claydol was struck with the beam, it's eyes rotating around in confusion.

“Oh come on!” the twins cried in protest. Claydol spun erratically, the doll hitting it's head on the steel side of the stadium, knocking it out.

“This was just the warm up! Liza, do it!”

“Right on Tate! Go Solrock!” Kyle dreaded this, the sun and the moon staring down at him, psychic energy practically crackling from their floating bodies. This was the match he was waiting for.

“The perfect combination. I won't falter this time! Waterfall Swampert!”

“Solrock, Sunny Day!” Kyle grinned a huge grin, Swampert canceling the attack.

“Rain Dance!” Swampert growled deeply and the sky answered his call. Huge rain poured down upon the Pokemon, shocking Tate and Liza.

“Why did you-”

“Isn't it obvious you two? I thought you could read my mind! I cooked up this Rain Dance just in case I needed it again. I remembered my mistake of letting Solrock change the weather. Both of your Pokemon rely on it!”

“Solrock, Solarbeam!”

“It's too late! Swampert, Waterfall!”

“Don't let him near Solrock! Lunatone! Keep it at bay with Ice Beam!” The crowd shifted in their seats as Swampert gracefully slid underneath the shocked Lunatone, a huge punch reared just to smash Solrock in the face as it had done before.

~~~
“How did it dodge that Solarbeam?!” Liza cried, her Solrock in shambles.
“FINISH IT GALVANTULA! BUG BUZZ!”
“SKREEEEEEEEEEEE!” Lunatone shook in place, the sound reverberating in and out of it's poor eardrums. It collapsed just as Tate and Liza opened their mouths in pure shock.
“And victory goes to-”
~~~

“KYLE! He is the new Pokemon World Champion!” The crowd rose proudly for both, a standing ovation roared throughout Unova for a brief moment. Tate and Liza looked at Kyle, his Mind Badge shining brightly in his badge case. They smiled.

“You're right Kyle. Things do change. Good job… friend.”

1492 words (1500 if you count the tilde breaks, just realized that)

Also before I forget, the gym leaders in the story are Tate and Liza. the psychic type twins from Mossdeep.

EDIT: Due to some people having questions, yes, the tilde breaks mark the distinction between the two battles taking place. It is supposed to be written like that. Wanted to clear up any confusion.

Hey there, this post is based on a grass type monotype run I did of Platinum, specifically facing Candice. It's told from the Pokémon's point of view.
I stared at my trainer in distaste as she spoke to the leader of this establishment. According to Cursle, as we called him, it was the seventh such challenge and we already knew it was a rather foolish endeavour. This was not our first attempt against the ice trainer and I saw no reason to be optimistic. What did our trainer hope to achieve by limiting herself to only the grass type? We were not meant for the cold and yet we were compelled to fight in it.

When I'd first been given to her I had charitably thought it might have been some misguided attempt to be kind, for in some respects it was nice to be surrounded by a team of a common type. That idea had been harshly shattered when she bestowed the name Pawn upon me. All her Pokémon were named after pieces on a chess board and that could only be how our trainer saw us, as pieces in her twisted game. This specialised team was just a challenge for her, one she handled ruthlessly.

The match was beginning, our team waited behind our trainer, to watch. I held in a snarl even as Queen was chosen to fight first. Queen was an arrogant Roserade who seemed to love her place on the team and never faltered. Inwardly I hoped she'd fail for once, as the enemy's Snover started up some vicious hail.

But it was not to be. Queen was a creature of perfection and she smoothly sent heaps of toxic sludge at the Snover, hardly grimacing as it managed to launch some quick shards of ice at her before it quickly fainted under the assault. The violent hail didn't bother her much either as she swiftly retreated before the Gym leader sent out her second Pokémon. It was an almost ideal beginning to the match, aggravating though Queen was.

It was the next Pokémon that had managed to obliterate us previously, the eerie Froslass. White, the poorly named Abomasnow (in my opinion) was sent out next for he alone among us had some resistance to the cold and was therefore deemed capable enough to endure the Froslass' brutal attacks. Even from far away, I could feel the chill cold and the great power as they both used the constant Hail to control great blizzards and launch them at each other, the snowfall was growing intense and making it difficult to see the fight properly though I already knew what the results would be. The Froslass would survive of course, it was stronger and faster.

Still there was something impressive about how each of them survived two turns of vicious blizzards before Froslass deftly finished with a frightfully powerful shadow ball, now slightly winded. My trainer, she seemed far too relaxed as she sent out Rook. Rook was a fairly solemn Wormadam, a grass type, naturally, as well as bug, far from a good type match-up against Froslass but then there was no better alternatives.

It was cruel to send Rook out now, when he hadn't a hope of damaging the Froslass, but my trainer was both devious and ruthless. Her order of 'Protect' hardly surprised me and Rook readily complied. It was a command he received probably more than any other for my trainer seemed to absolutely love stalling. I myself had been taught dig largely for that reason. Predictably, Froslass was unleashing another furious blizzard directly at Rook but his perfect shield protected him from any damage.

"Protect." I couldn't help but tense as I heard the command being repeated. It was more likely to fail this time and yet she continued with this strategy.

I breathed a sigh of relief as Rook emerged from the blizzard unscathed. A glance at my trainer showed she also seemed fairly satisfied but then she turned away from the fight. I couldn't resist an angry growl as my trainer walked over to Queen and fed her some potion to return her to full health even as Rook waited on the icy field for a command that wasn't coming. My trainer ignored my anger as she ignored Rook's plight and Froslass grinned, unleashing one final blizzard, immediately knocking her out.

King Cursle was then sent out, we called him as such because as a Grotle he'd had a tendency to use Curse to sweep through tough battles. It seemed foolish to have him here in the ice gym when he possessed such a severe weakness to ice but then at least Knight, a Tropius, wasn't here as well. And as Froslass launched a shadow ball at him, it seemed to be an okay choice, for apparently it had exhausted all of it's ice power.

King retaliated with an earthquake and the infuriating Leader decided to use a potion on the Froslass while King continued with his quaking. Sadly, King lacked a great special defence and the next shadow ball was enough to defeat him too, now half the team was defeated and it wasn't finished. I didn't know why we even tried, for this fight seemed a lost cause.

Then I was commanded to fight. I was uncertain I could even survive a single shadow ball for though, I had no particular weakness to it, I had a very poor special defence, unlike Queen's whose was very high. Why wasn't she being used instead? But I could not refuse my trainer and summoned up the power my species was named after. I ran towards the ghost, keeping my eyes on it, for it was likely to hide itself among the snow if I were to lose sight for even a second. I alone among my team was faster than the ghost and sent a flurry of large razor sharp leaves at it even as it formed another shadow ball.

My leaves struck true but the ghost still did not faint. I anticipated the coming shadow ball and yet it was still too fast for me to do more than tense as it approached me. Pain, burning hot pain erupted in my mind as it seemed to dig into my very soul just to inflict more damage on me. I was dully aware of myself being thrown back and landing roughly on frozen ground. I trembled, wishing for my mind to go blank as it had practically taken me out, I didn't want to continue. It hurt.

But the pain wasn't ending and I could feel the sharp hail digging into me, increasing my suffering. Distantly I realised my trainer was yelling at me to use another razor leaf and I struggled to my feet and began running without seeing. My foggy vision somehow spotted the Froslass also looking tired and I bared my teeth for all the good it would do. With no thought to tactics I unleashed another barrage of leaves with the last of my strengths, grimly aware that I was about to faint.

Yet the Froslass was too exhausted to properly dodge and with a vicious satisfaction I watched it collapse, finally defeated, by my hand. Immediately my trainer was pulling me back and allowing Queen to enter the arena. For once I didn't even care, I needed to rest. I even hoped Queen might win, if only so we didn't have to repeat this fight.

Ironically, the Leader's last Pokémon was the same species as White, another Abomasnow. I watched Queen poison it effortlessly with her toxic spores. I almost grinned when she was actually taken out by a blizzard in a single shot. Then Bishop, a Tangrowth, was fighting and landed an Ancient Power on it before fainting to a blizzard too. It was then it dawned on me that I was the only Pokémon left on our team who could still technically battle and the Abomasnow was far from finished.

I couldn't quite begrudge my trainer for sending me out, aware that the hail was about to finish me off even if the poisoned Abomasnow didn't. At least I wasn't the Pawn being sacrificed for once. It was my job to survive this time. My trainer showed off good tactics as she immediately commanded to dig under the ground, hidden away from both the Abomasnow and the hail. I was quick and lost no time in burrowing to safety even if I couldn't remain underground forever.

Truthfully I was proud of the skill I'd developed under my trainer, and I occasionally dreamed of distinguishing myself as more than a Pawn. I hadn't chosen to be a trainer Pokemon and I hadn't chosen to become a Leafeon but at times I couldn't despise my fate. I sensed the Abomasnow above me and attacked it from below. Weakened from Queen's poison as it was, it fainted.

Somehow we'd emerged victorious.

Gym Leader: Blue - Viridian City Gym Leader (Gold/Silver/Crystal/Heartgold/Soulsilver)

For my entry I tried to put a twist on the style of writing.
I also tried to incorporate a lot of elements from the actual games to spice things up :P

Josh: NO! WATCH OUT!
