creepa7
hi i have a simple question about a ratticate from a npc trainer vs seeker -> i start with lvl 82 snorlax, 421 HP...the ratticate uses 1x Endeavor and my snorlax is on under 100k hp how is it possible this low level 52 ratticate can hit me with nearly 350 damage - without crit, without super effective ? i just want to understand this to get more knowledge about pokemons ps: my snorlax is full ev trained (right ev trained and not 2x 252 like all noobs do it) with 1x31 and good ivs pps: just what i thought about: "Endeavor causes the target's HP to equal the user's current HP. It will deduct the difference from the target's HP. This move will fail if the user has more HP left than the target." so if i get 350 dmg and i have 421 hp this means the ratticate should have 70 hp (whats the difference) oO Edited April 24, 2015 by creepa7 Kanzo 1 Link to comment

YagamiNoir
Endeavor's damage isn't affected by Attack/Defense, but rather, the amount of HP between the user and the target. The higher the target's HP and the lower the user's HP, the more effective the move is. "so if i get 350 dmg and i have 421 hp this means the ratticate should have 70 hp (whats the difference) oO" The Raticate had 71 HP to begin with, perhaps, yes. On something with very high HP like Snorlax, reducing 400+ HP to Raticate's miniscule 71 HP amount would be a really steep loss, and hence why "something so low leveled can do so much damage to a high leveled Pokemon. ." creepa7
you are right guys and i have understand the theorie... but this is the reason why i made the thread: the ratticates where i saw this were all level 52+ and had full hp its impossible, even with 0 iv in hp, to have 71 hp at level 52+ with ratticate i just checked my boxes and all of my ratticates (level 28-35) had more hp then 71... if i have the first hit, then drop the enemy ratticate to 70 hp - its possible... but the case im taking about -> all ratticates had 100% hp when using Endeavor this is what made me annoying sorry for the bad english btw Edited April 24, 2015 by creepa7 Link to comment
OldKeith
A level 52 Raticate has 119 hp or more. However, Endeavor was not bugged last time I checked. Can you post a screen of what happened? Link to comment

Your health is 122 because Raticate's was 122 at full HP and it used Endeavor, thus making your Snorlax's HP the same as his.
