Thou Shalt Becometh Swoll...

May as well post here. I'm gearing up to start a training regimen for backpacking. The goal is to hike a good portion of a 56 mile training trail for the Appalachian Trail sometime next year. Starting off with a planned 6 mile hike next weekend on flat ground and 10 pounds in my pack. The goal is to be able to hike 13 miles on flat ground with 5 days of supplies packed by the end of month one. After that we will slowly start building up on hill difficulty.

This will be fun since I had tendonitis in my left foot and IT Band syndrome in my left leg. Luckily not at the same time. Both hurt like hell.

So, I'm still at the same bodyweight when I started lifting. But I have gained in strength, posture and muscle aesthetics.

As a result of this, I thought I hit a plateau where I couldn't lift heavier stuff.

 

Last week I just tried something (and you might think it's weird as fuck).

Before doing the exercice, I just close my eyes and clear my mind to channel mental energy into the lift.

Then during the lift, it feels a lot easier than before and I actually broke previous PR's with relative ease.

Am I turning into a shaolin monk with superpowers?

Sounds like you've toned and built dense muscle. Also clearing your mind works well because you channel more energy to what you're doing rather than thinking about anything else.

if it's something I would see at any decent public place where I could take my family without being embarrassed I'd consider it appropriate enough to post. In this case you'd see a girl in a bikini if you went to a beach, swimming pool, or lived really anywhere on the coast, which are all family appropriate places.
tl dr if it's appropriate I wont remove it
Edit: If anyone replies with suggestive remarks those will be removed though, and if it becomes more trouble than it's worth then it'll likely be removed, but people of off-topic have shown that they can be mature in this thread at least so I doubt that'll be an issue.

Yoga has really helped me with concentration and I think that's the sort of thing you're incorporating. It honestly helps to feel and think of the specific parts you're working out. :)

Also thanks for the reply Daft. I'll post progress pictures later, I just want to help inspire people like everyone else and hopefully not cause any issues haha.

Mfw i have no access to a gym in Alaska!!!! Also can finally post again \o/

Gonna be a lot of push ups and loss of gains. Maybe get back into running. Ugh. Rough life lol.

running +push ups + pull ups + go hiking (and go kill & eat a bear)

I went for my morning jog, but the streets were crowed because someone jumped to the metro ​ :unsure:.

 

So i decided to get a coffee instead, while i was getting to the shop i notice a bunch of ~16 years old kids sitting next to the door and one overweight girl.

 

As i get closer the kids whistle at me, i take my phone outside to avoid eye contact. But i heard the girl saying she's not even hot. I walked more slowly and did a whole eye scanning of her and just smirked, i heard some Ohhh's and laughs inside the shop.
