Question

This thread is to gather requests for small changes or features which can have a big impact on your experience. It is meant to be a dumping ground of basic ideas for common annoyances. Put elaborate ideas or content changes in their own thread.

 

Post up to 3 quick and simple things that would matter a lot to you if implemented.

When have you ever played a game where the "boss" fight was so boring that you just ignored it?

Im sure coding AIs behavior is easier said than done. The AI atm is already way harder than in normal games and I think DS is still very much working on improving their behavior etc. 2 updates ago they got buffed. Before this change NPCs also spammed healing items. Just not with rest. Anyway I think what I am trying to say is that it's a WIP much rather than a finished product.

Undoubtedly a work in progress, but adding a little pressure, while annoying, ultimately  brings about action and also a general knowledge that something isn't right.

We just want the shortcut or the ability to hotkey it. Make it require one poke has Sweet Scent and subtract the PP from it or something similar like only having 4 or 6 uses as it is now. Were not looking for a cheap gimmick to replace leppas or ethers/elixers.

Ask Jim, it is stored, but since the TC isn't touching doubles with bans or usage movements, it's a lot of extra work for no real purpose other than a few people getting to see percentages.

Assault Vest, Eviolite, Focus Sash, Rocky Helmet, Air Balloon, Light Clay, dem weather rocks and dem new berries (Custap, Colbur and shit), Toxic & Flame Orbs, etc.

Gen4 pokes cuz a man can only dream of such fancy things.

show player´s team tag everywhere: in the duel, in the tournament tag, in the leaderboards, friendlist, when you are spectating, in the FORUM!, in the team roster (?), eeeverywhere!!!

Reduce the respawn rate for the Hoenn Gym Leaders from 20 hours to 12 hours. The bump from 6 to 20 was a bit ridiculous when you consider the fact they also reduced the payout. When the devs want players to stay online, but they implement restrictions that keep them off. Just brilliant imo. Being able to grind this system twice a day makes sense imo.

 

@Darkshade, just take a moment and think about how active the game could be.

Extra column in Pokedex under wild locations that shows when players can catch a pokemon in regards to day time/nigh time/both.

 

Seeing some players complaining they can't find specific pokemon on the routes the dex shows them, as they are unaware that the pokemon they seek is only available at that location during day/night. Really the only place you can find this information is outside of the game, in the thread below, and that seems kinda off-putting as a good portion of the game, specifically newer players do not use forums.

Gen IV/DPPt/HGSS styled sprites for important Hoenn NPC's. It just feels really out of place seeing their sprites being so huge and less-detailed compared to the player and generic NPC's.

Rain eliminates the ability to use Sweet Scent... scientifically speaking this is a false design. Rain, or water, heightens ones sense of smell. This is a phenomena that is seen when it is raining and we get that "fresh rain" smell. In fact, this is not the rain we are smelling (cuz like water smells, amirite?) but in fact the smell of the Earth that is heightened by the falling water. 

 

So, I recommend removing this mechanic or enhancing Sweet Scent in the rain to use less PP per turn.

a small breeding change, if i have 2 adamant pokes the offspring will always be adamant without the need for an everstone. this balances out because sometimes u will want a random nature so the guaranteed adamant will be a hindrance or it will help meaning u can brace two stats and nature. It is also not too overpowered as it is difficult to find two breeders of the same nature, especially with shinies or ungendered and dittos
