Spore not transferring to child from parent?

So I had a 2x31 male paras with spore and a 2x31 female shroomish and bred them. Took like 5 minutes for the little bastard to hatch and now I have my 3x31 shroomish with no spore?

1. Why did the egg move not transfer?

2. Is there another way to get spore on him without making a whole new 3x31 or 2x31 to retry? (Aside from levelling him up and losing breloom's entire moveset)

3. This egg move system is awful.

 shroom learns spore at 40 according to in game dex.

last i knew, if the move was a level up move, then both parents need to know it when bred for the move to pass.

Yes, but if I keep the shroomish until level 40, then I miss Breloom's entire moveset, and he is a physical attacker and shroomish gets no physical attacks except headbutt, really.

Can I get the egg move if I breed the female shroomish with spore anyways? Or does the egg move have to be on a male?

I have a 3x31 paras to breed with for my next step to make a 4x31, but he learns spore at 22 and caught him at lvl 23.

The solution is to keep it until level 40, evolve it and then pay a visit to the move relearner.

I do have 1 more step in the evolution, though, so does the Spore transfer into an egg move if the only parent who has it is female?

no. Spore will only transfer to a baby shroomish if both parents know spore.

if both parents have spore the baby will have spore.

then you dont need to go to the move relearner

The paras I currently have is level 23 and was caught at 23 and will not learn spore, as spore is learned at level 22. So my only course of action right now seems to be to breed my 4x31 and use the move relearner to get spore

Though before the update shroomish can learn spore at lvl 54, and now at lvl 40. The system became better since different sets of moves are learned before lvl 50 imo.
