Popular Post Noad
This is guide to all available Pokemon in PokeMMO, their locations and held items. It is fairly comprehensive so I suggest using the CTRL + F function to search for a particular Pokemon or location in game. Credit to Emlee who created the previous encounter guide, it's served us well. I hope that some of you will find this useful, feel free to let me know if something needs adding. *Please read my section on swarms, I need the community's help to complete that information* Contents 1- Kanto & Sevii Islands Pokemon locations 2 - Hoenn Pokemon locations 3 - Altering Cave 4 - Swarms 5 - Held items Notes You will find that region locations have been split into categories to represent how to encounter a specific type of Pokemon. I will go through them below and what they mean. Grass The Pokemon on this list can be encountered by just walking in the long grass or along the floors of caves/buildings. Gift These are Pokemon that are given to you as “gifts” by various NPCs, they will come with a gift ribbon and it is not possible to trade or breed them. They will obey you at any level, regardless of how many badges you have. Rock Smash The Pokemon on this list can be encountered by smashing rocks around the map. To do this you will need HM06 Rock Smash. In Kanto this can be obtained on Kindle Road (One Island) there is a cave on the route, talk to an NPC inside and they will give it to you. In Hoenn this can be obtained by talking to an NPC in his house in Mauville City, he gives it to you. Old Rod These are Pokemon that can be encountered by fishing using this rod. In Kanto you obtain the Old Rod in Vermillion City from the Fishing Guru. In Hoenn you can obtain the Old Rod in Dewford Town from the Fisherman walking around outside the Pokemon Centre. Good Rod These are Pokemon that can be encountered by fishing using this rod. In Kanto you obtain the Good Rod in Fuchsia City from the Fishing Guru. In Hoenn you can obtain the Good Rod on Route 118 from a Fisherman NPC. Super Rod These are Pokemon that can be encountered by fishing using this rod. In Kanto you obtain the Super Rod on Route 12 from the Fishing Guru. In Hoenn you can obtain the Super Rod in Mossdeep City from a Fisherman in one of the NPC houses. Water The Pokemon on this list can be encountered by surfing on the water around the map. To do this you will need HM03. In Kanto this can be obtained in Fuchsia City by finding the house in the Safari Zone. In Hoenn this can be obtained from Wally’s Father after you defeat the fifth gym leader. NPC Trade These Pokemon can be obtained through trading with various NPCs, you can only trade with an NPC once. Pokemon obtained through this method will also be considered Gift Pokemon and will not be able to be bred or traded. HoonDini, 9ryex5, PandaJJ and 52 others 52 3 Link to comment

Noad
Altering Cave is a mysterious cave that appears in both the Kanto and Hoenn Region. Currently features for Hoenn's Altering Cave are not implemented and it has a 100% encounter rate of Zubat. Altering Cave runs on cycles, each cycle you have a chance to catch a different set of Pokemon. It is a great chance to fill up your Pokedex easily in one place! Please be aware that depending on the time of the year it may be an hour off because of daylight savings. Note: This is a player made website, not an official one. Edit : The site may be wrong since last update. You may have to figure the current Cycle yourself. Each Cycle is 6 IRL hours. RagingSilver, Blue, Gilan and 18 others 21 Link to comment

Noad
As promised, a fully updated version of the Pokemon locations guide. When trying to update the old one, I realised that with a whole new region there was just way too much information to add so I decided to split it into locations. Feel free to let me know anything I have missed and please let me know if you spot a swarm on the TV (preferably with a screenshot!) I hope this is helpful for you all in some way! ExpertWinston
I love the guide. It was worth the wait. Thanks to all of those that were involved in hunting everything down and getting this all put together! Now, if we could have the devs update the "H" Frequently Asked Questions to link to this, and move that question to the top of there (instead of the middle where it is now),. and we'll be set. Edit: Before, I had used this spot to point out a few things I had noticed that were left out. Since they were remedied, I'll post this here for reference. Also, I've found fossils on Nosepass in Granite Cave so the Fossil locations could be updated unless they ninja'd it. Day/Night Trades on Cinnabar Island don't line up, unless there are trades that pop at night? Also: Dragon Fang - Dratini , Dragonair , Bagon , Shelgon What??? According to Darkshade the fangs can be found on those four Pokemon. Also I will have to investigate the Nosepass fossil thing- do you happen to have a screenshot? Link to comment
ExpertWinston
I don't want to embed a youtube video, but I took one of everything I was hunting for proof, two weeks ago when I was looking for all the new stuff. Try google'ing the following search critera: PokeMMO Nosepass with Fossil The first result should be the video I uploaded of finding a Root Fossil on a Nosepass. As you can see, my Smeargle had nothing on him and switched items with the Nosepass. Edit: Also, you forgot the Kanto Wilderness area: Cerulean Cave Another Edit. Metal Coat locations under Held Items - Type Enhancing Items. All I know of is Magnemite though. Another Edit: Miltanks come with Healing Item Moomoo Milk (very highly if not 100%) Edited February 20, 2015 by ExpertWinston Noad 1 Link to comment

RushTfe
Very nice guide. But I think that there could be some improvements at certain fields. As an example, for the Held Items field, you should put a location for pokemon who's holding the Item. I mean, Magma Hideout Gravelers/geodudes, doesn't wear fossils, And I haven't stole any Item from them (like everstones, or hard rocks) yet (100 of them by now) Which means, that depending on the location, pokemons could have or not Items. It's perfectly possible, because of the way that pokemons are placed into the game. Years ago, I use to use Poke Map editor, So I can make my own pokemon games from original ones. And of course, you can place pokemons everywhere you want, but, depending on locations, you could change held items, so that, a Rock tunnel graveler could have hard stone, and a ceruelan cave one, doesnt. AugmentedFire
It was much easier to read when it was listed by Pokemon and their numbers, versus listing them by location... Malorne 1 Link to comment
