Squirtle Posted January 26, 2015 Share Posted January 26, 2015 Hello PokeMMO competitive audience, You may or may not know but as of the last tournament to be announced there is going to be a major change in the prizes given for official tournaments. Management has decided to move towards a prize scheme that benefits players more directly but in less magnitude than has been done in the past. In the past Shiny prizes were the norm for which was given out and most were of great value as far as in game economy. With the recent update and major changes to breeding as well as physical/special attack meta we believe it is the right decision to put more focus on what exactly we give out as far as prizes for tournaments. With this update there is also now the ability to create 'Gifts' and are not tradable once they are given to the winner of the tournaments. This new prize outlook is going to be a shock for some players but we believe that in the long term outlook it will still provide an adequate incentive to enter these tournaments while preventing any major economic disparity in the game. Below are a few of the possible prizes that could be given in the future. You may have a discussion in this topic relating to this matter but please do not go offtopic. Battle points. To answer your question regarding Gift shinies yes in general more valuable ones will be given but the more valuable ones will not necessarily be competitive. Munya Posted January 26, 2015 Share Posted January 26, 2015 I asked darkshade this in TS, but I feel like it should be asked here as well. shiny gift competitive pokemon, entirely fine with it but i am curious, will the player who wins it get to chose the iv spread(like 31 in speed 25 in x/x/x and x, or whatever you all deem to be competitive in iv's), and nature/moveset?
