Darkshade Posted September 8, 2014 Share Posted September 8, 2014 As of the 13th of September 2014, it was decided that the move "Torment" will be flat banned in tournament mode. This ban is not related to the tier council in any way, and is only temporary - once the move is fixed, it will be unbanned.The move has been temporarily banned due to not forcing the opponent into Struggle when it has no usable moves. What this essentially means is that a Choice Banded Pokemon under the effect of Torment is completely unable to attack and has no choice but to switch. If it is unable to switch, the player cannot take their turn at all and the battle can only end by AFK timeout or a relog.This will be fixed as soon as possible, and this thread will remain pinned until then.
