I recently discovered this page on facebook and its blown my mind.  The revelations they have... I instantly liked them on facebook and I will shortly be leaving this forum forever you filthy otaku subhumans.

For some examples of these revelations, open the spoiler.  I hope everyone can have a productive discussion about this and realize the problems with animu.

The actual amazing part is the people responding to 'her'(?) seriously.

On the internet there's always some retard who will take a joke seriously and get way too buttmad. Happens to every single joke I see on Facebook whether it be a post, a comment on a post (who's the jackass who thought it would be smart to let people reply to comments?) or what ever. And every time it just makes me cringe.

Yeah, it's usually people who think "satire" is a flavour.

You guys know Mao Dante from Go Nagai? The manga about demons and Satan and shit like that? Well, in Italy the Church ( really ) was able to stop the publication of the manga

Mama mia! Well, I'd say "boo censorship," but I think it may be a wasted effort at this point. The things that bother me are ratings systems; I feel like a lot of mature, really well-written games get lumped in with the standard kill-em-alls because of them. Parents who don't want their kids calling their TV a "fucktard" before ferociously humping it might just think all M-rated games are violence-porn schlock. Of course, that's not true.

i think this is satire

I also think The Onion is satire, but it seems most people haven't caught on to that yet.

  1. If brain mass was decreasing by 1% per hour watched, people would eventually have their brains shrivel up and fall out of their heads. If a human brain were to decrease its mass by even a few fractions of a percentage, it could cause the brain to hit the inside of the skull. This very well could cause someone to die. Last time I checked, millions and millions of people watch anime. If this were indeed true, then Comicon would have literally died off long ago.
  2. "Her" second post goes on for quite a long time, and there are zero periods. It is almost like she has no clue how to use punctuation, or is not intelligent enough to figure it out. I swear, this is one of the things wrong with people today...
  3. The graph included makes no sense. Your IQ is dependent upon how fast, and how well, you absorb and disseminate information in your brain. Intelligence obviously has nothing to do with anime, since this "woman" seems to not have any working neurons.
  4. "The cheese and japanese people", the whole bit about the japanese people hating americans, the "word" "Cheenese", and the phrase "WE WILL CONTACT AUTHORITY". These statements make me think she is either as dumb as a bag of rocks, or from another country and doesn't know how to write in English very well....

The whole page is like a fresh pile of troll bait, flowing out of an infinite spring.

An infinite spring of stupidity. The best kind.

>People (Mainly Teens/Adults) say anime sucks

>Proceed to watch Frozen 10 times

With Trolls, nothing people say can be taken seriously anymore. *Facepalm*
