This has probably been discussed before, but let's face it, most of the good tags are taken. I am asking for an edit of how the team system should work. E.g. KoG is part of the Xiled Gaming Community, there are many sub clans in KoG. We would all like to have the KoG tag with a different name in the clan so we can still be associated with each other. The Tags are too context sensitive and we cannot all use the KoG tag. It would be awesome if we could all just let the tags be whatever (minus explicit words) without restrictions.

Here's an idea, keep the tags the same, but if you are a member of a subclan, it still allows you to speak with members in the main clan in Team Chat.

Would it not be easier to just combine your guilds under that tag? our tags are our identifying marks, I wouldn't want to see a bunch of scrubs waking around with vvvv next to their name. I'm gonna have to vote against this one, I see your view on this, but on COD you don't have defined teams that everyone in the vast gaming community knows, here you do.

So you are saying a clan that has over 40,000 members that can't use the KoG tag because some other scrub that probably hasn't been online since he has taken it? I don't see how that is fair. Perhaps the clan system should be colour coded when they are apart of your team kind of like how your friends are green, your team should be orange/red etc. There are no good tags left or available, there has to be a better system.

I do completely agree with this. A single tag, such as KoG, should be able to have numerous drop-downs with the same tag, under different names. It could also be integrated with promotions/demotions into separate clans under the same tag, which would certainly spice things up a little.

DarkShade has already said that eventually a system will be implemented that deletes inactive teams which would release the team tags. My point, is that something for this issue is already in the works most likely and your idea wouldn't work in PokeMMO. Also, the there is a tag you want but you see someone else with it, kyu has stated that you are allowed to trade in game goods for it if the person is willing to give it up. Another solution to your issue would to maybe suggest upping the max number of players allowed in a clan.

This option would also work but to be honest it would probably be more difficult to do that as opposed to the original idea.

i would say no to this, for the simple reason of people making an alt, get a tag from a well known team, sign up for a tournament, go there to troll people, making the team look bad, pls dont

No. Teams eventually reach a certain notoriety/reputation that is unique to that team. Letting other teams use the same team tag would ruin this.

I do agree with this to an extent, but I'm not so sure that the tag is necessarily as powerful as the clan name in terms of reputation. People would certainly be able to distinguish between the lower ranks of a clan and the most "notorious" section of it, I'm sure.

I may have misunderstood. Is this suggestion that team tags are not exclusive, or that the original team leader can create sub-teams with the same tag?

 

In the first case I do not support for the reasons stated above, in the second case I'm neutral at best.

This wouldn't bother me. At least this way, nobody you dont want having your team tag cant have it. Making them all available to everyone though would be asinine.
