Congrats to Piero and Jindu, you guys are amazingly talented! Well done to everyone else who entered, it was a lot of fun :)

Jindu got totally robbed in my opinion. Far more detail, solid shading, looks incredible all around. No offense to Piero, but Piero didn't even fully outline the Dodrio (even some of his own person) and there's a glaring pattern mishap with the front black bottom feathers suddenly jetting up into the green fur. Should've either kept that pattern all the way around or left it relatively straight around it.

Not saying Piero's work wasn't good, but wow. This kind of surprises the Hell out of me.

It's an stylistic choice, I might have failed to make it obvious but that's not my style, it's Ken Sugimori's, a singular way to draw characters that is actually the way most official Pokemon artwork is done, and yes, it includes ink-like lines of varying thickness
That's the way Dodrio's drawn, fluffy on top and plain on down under, it's not the way I choose to draw it but the way it was originally made, if it was up to me Dodrio would have a thicker neck, legs with actual shape and not so Goku-esque eyes, but that's the way it is, a shame it's not up to your tastes
Honestly? I'll give you at least props for explaining your choices. Most people would just call me an asshole for thinking something different. You at least defended yourself constructively. Credit where credit is due at the least.

Congratulations.
