I have two vaporeons that I need to nickname. I'm considering the name "Volcano" for one of them. Please hear me out. Speaking as a smoker, I am familiar with smoking technology and as such enjoy using the device called a "Volcano". Volcanoes are some of the nicest vaporizers you can get.

TL;DR - Is this name too obscure/stupid?

And I apologize if the topic of the nickname breaks op's rules... I tried to make it as non-offensive as possible

EDIT: Oh and gender, I don't mind my pokemon having names that are atypical for their gender

hmmm, the drug reference (Nicotine is a drung technically) is kinda iffy, its a so-so kinda thing. Talking about smoking in pokemon is greyish.

And it wasn't a stretch to move it to Swimminglane as Vaporeon is a water type
