Event Suggestions & Feedback

As you all know, we enjoy running events. We try to come up with as many new and exciting ideas for them as we can, whilst also attempting to cater to our broad player-base.

Have we run a particular event that you'd like to see again? Perhaps one that you didn't like so much?
Do you have an idea for an event that you'd like to see happen? We're interested in your feedback and ideas, so feel free to post them in this thread.


Please keep ideas within the realm of possibility. I realise "if X is implemented, Y could be a great event", but lets try to work with what we have.



Note: This thread is for the discussion of official events (like those posted in PokeMMO Official Events).

Doubles, OU, UU, NU will not be played in silph everything else will be.

well if you could fix the problem with silph tournies (squirtle failing to mail the poke for over a week), I'd love to see a uu / nu tag team tourney.

Me personally, I'd like to see some OU and NU. Can fit some UU in there also, to make my brown friend jovi happy.

The lower staff (so CMs, Mods and GMs) are not allowed to host standard tournaments manually anymore. 

 

I think the main issue that players have with automated tournaments is not the format but the fact that it eliminates the social element that tournaments used to have.

 

I would love to see a player who is invested in the idea of improving the social aspect of tournaments make a suggestion thread. I think brainstorming ideas would be helpful and I would also love to join in with my input where I can.

I'm pretty sure I already made a suggestion about that a while back, and most of us agreed it was because the players competing in the tournament were isolated in battle so we couldn't laugh at them when they fucked up, on top of that, people don't group up, it literally just feels like I'm playing matchmaking.

 

I'm usually one to play all tiers even if I didn't particularly play the tier, and right now, I'v not even played in an automated tourney in over a month which is unusual for me. Of course the lack of NUs doesn't help since the tier has just been re-build.

Tbh unless Players are able to communicate with the ones who are actually playing in the tourney I think that won't change.

She means that standard tournaments can only be automated from now on and none of them will be in silph co like it used to be.

That's a pretty specific prize that a lot of people won't have use for. Might be best just to win Reward Points and purchase it that way. :)
