How do you know if a Pokemon can Change ability

So I did kinda a related post to this but I tried changing the ability of a pokemon, but a person suggested that you need to check the pokedex but I did not really get how so hopefully you could help me.

To add on to the answer above me, you can purchase the Ability Capsule from any Daycare Center. There'll be an extra NPC sitting inside the house who sells the capsules, as well as stat weights. The capsules to change your ability cost around 35,000 if I remember correctly.

Also adding onto this. You can only use an ability pill on a pokemon once. It will not give you Hidden Abilities. They are not implemented for players in this game yet. Hidden Abilities will be introduced with the advent of dungeons! How or when that will happen is yet to be determined! Hope all your questions, and more, have been sufficiently answered! ?
