Mail box stretcher?

You guys know how in some websites you can pull the text box and manipulate it according to your will by dragging those couple black lines at the corner like below. I'd love for that option to be implemented here. 

 

 

It just makes life easier for people who use the mail a lot.

I would also like to increase the number of maximum mail from 250 to maybe 500?

If we’re going that far, might as well just embed Microsoft Word into the mail system :^)
