It would be a huge mess. Plus, the fairies become the next broken typing in pokemon, with only 2 weaknesses being Steel and Poison, so everyone has to recreate their movesets to have a move that can defeat the fairies. Before the fairies, Moves like Flash Cannon or Sludge Bomb were useless

As much as it becomes a mess, you can make everything very fair. In my opinion, fairy types should be implemented a lot because they are very important in some requirements.

But with that logic, dragons are also invincible. Only 2 weaknesses, it is the same, we cannot ignore the existence of 1 type and live forever in 5th Gen just because the pvp would be unbalanced if the fairy type is added. Also, what work does it take to think of a strategy to defeat fairies, come on, are you going to die just thinking of a move set that covers this guy? Do not.

the pokemon company has added the fairy type, we will have the fairy type.
obviously when DEVs implement them

PokeMMO has always tried to be closer  to the original content of pokemon games, it is obvious how much can be done with an emulator.

so i'm sorry for you but i have a certain amount of certainty that such fairy type will be implemented sooner or later

Fairies are needed. Dragon are literally being nerfed to the ground to make competitive viable. That is not the sign of a healthy competitive scene. 

 

Adding fairies will only help the competitive scene. 

 

If the argument against this suggestion is that it will create a mess then it is not a strong one. We need to stop reacting strongly to change. Change is good. Sometimes its bad, but we are humans, we figure things out better the next time and eventually fix the mess we got ourselves into.

it's less about the competitive scene and more about adding x and y itself

 

just by looking at these two pics i can tell you it's not a small difference and i can't help but be very skeptical about it ever happening

You are indeed, correct. However, I do think that it's too early to implement the fairy typing because we still need Johto, Dungeons, all the activities in Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova including the Sinnoh Frontier, All the Nimbasa city activities and even more stuff that haven't got implemented.
