So whats the deal with the sudden inflation

Did a few rich players decide to buy the whole vanity market empty or do we really have an issue with inflation now?

Happens all the time. @Obvi and I always talk about what got scooped and flipped. Usually 1-2 things a week get bought up and relisted for significantly higher prices. Holly Hairclip went from 7m to 25m in a week on GTL. Lillicrap from like 13m > 30m back to 15m.

Rich players/teams just buy everything, then jack the prices up.

I'd also want to talk about the fact consumables (farmable) are valued extremely low since around September, for instance Shards and Everstones.

It had already halved in price in the recent years since I joined the game from 12k to 6k (for stones) to a now very stable value of 3k that doesn't even increase during event time (when the farmers are supposedly not farming stones anymore and farming the event instead), as it did in the previous years.

There's 2 solutions : either too many people are ready to farm everstones in a regular basis even tho that activity isn't worth it OR people are botting or found a glitch to multiply items to farm everstones ? How could shards also be down to 1k to 3k max, these items take so much time to farm compared to the value they are given

i dont think the issue was taken seriously tho - amulet coin price has increased again but other items still are at a all time low

I agree with this to an extent, but you still need the demand to be there.

With the oldest vanity items you can probably get away with it, but you can manipulate the prices all you want if the demand isn't there then the prices will just drop back down again.

I always suspected that there was a group of merchants that manipulated the market and whenever they ask me if a new item will go up or not I say that it depends on whether that group will try to handle it or not and that if these new items would go up it would depend directly on them . An example I have is the Black Plack Plagues, when the 2019 event ended, there were almost 80 only in the GLT and where you were going there were people wearing the mask so much that the value of it reached 1.5m, but overnight I think they bought all of them and it went up to 3 / 6m and since then it hasn't stopped going up. I also wonder if the reason for its value drop is not connected also sometimes spams of items appear at the same time and value, if you have a large amount of items wouldn't it be better to play one at a time in glt? wouldn't you be increasing the supply of the item at a loss?

now stopping to look at the shards is interesting, when Quakkz made the post related to the amelets I had simply associated the new frisk mechanics that had made dropping easier, but really looking at the shards is very low in price (I remember having bought blue for 1-2k). Maybe it's because of the new frisk mechanics OR the new mechanics facilitated a new "BOT"

If I recall correctly the devs decreased the shard price in one of the recent updates (only found out by chance).

The selling price in the marts used to be 3,500 and now it got scaled down to 1,000 - I think this may have caused the drop of shards on GTL.

Regarding the others I'm not too sure.

It would be interesting if possible to trade RP from other players (always player to player) with common gold, with just a click, throughout a platform like Poke Center PC.

For example:

(Default 1RP=2K)

When it is 1RP 1.9K I buy and when it is 1RP 2k I sell.

Well there are RP vouchers to do that

But that is not official.

I wanna have an official RP to Gold and vice-versa trade.

I also would like to suggest a Casino and a B lackjack multiplayer with voucher for entrance in taverns.

Yeah and lets enable coke and uguus as well, mashes well with the casino theme and the fixed RP-Gold transaction...

Some People have a lot money to spend in MMO, So they can start the infatuation in market. There is nothing someone can do about it, the vanity prices will rise day by day until people stop paying for them in game currency. RPs prices are so high since 2020 halloween.

6m for Dragon Mask seems legit

...

At least iam finaly rich.

However; there is a lot o ping ping with the prices rn especialy Eyeball Mask while Dragon Mask just rise and rise... A lot of other vanitys climb, too.

Seems like RP value overall is increasing.

Here's the sad truth of things, it was "possible" for the everyday player to get vanities. Now, even the end game grinds aren't even worth the time to get anything cool on the market. The only way to have something interesting is to have vanities from when they came out. At the end of the day now, it's become VanityMMO. I don't even think that my cash is gonna be worth anything and that I just need to put it all into vanities solely. The problem is that I don't even think there is a way to fix things unless a new currency that isn't so inflatable comes around. RP isn't even linking to the curve at all, I THINK the problem is that there is just too much RP in the system, kind of like the problem that EVE Online had with their plex overabundance. The devs need to do something similar to plex for good that will convince the whales to quit cycling the market with rp. the amount of vanities every event is increasing by the pages on the gtl alone. I'm still very sure the devs have records on how much people have/spend, It would be great to have their input on the situation.
