doubt about the pokédex

When you capture a pokemon, in a pokedex it comes out in a green box, but if you buy or exchange it, it comes out in a blue box, if I release a traded pokemon and then I capture it, will the box appear in green?

If you capture the pokemon you will always get the green box, it's not necessary to drop the one you bought/traded.

Green Box - Caught OT (You caught this pokemon yourself)
Blue Box - Owned (received via gift, purchased from GTL. etc. 
No box - Seen (You have seen the Pokemon.

 

I don't recommend releasing pokemon as there is no guarantee you will find them to catch them, there is no need to release them anyway, if you catch them it will automatically update to caught OT.
