Out of Battle Abilities

This thread includes all Out of Battle (OoB) abilities that are currently implemented.

 

Hidden Abilities (HA) is not out in game at the time of composing this thread.

OoB that are not working are listed at bottom.

 

OoB only works if your party lead has one of the abilities listed.

As of 23/07/2019 update, OoB abilities no longer function while the party lead is fainted.

 


Arena Trap / Illuminate / No Guard / Swarm
Encounters are increased by a flat 10%.

 

 

Cute Charm

Opposite gender encounters are increased by a flat 25%.

 

 

Flame Body / Magma Armor / Steam Engine***

Eggs will hatch at a 25% faster rate. Stacks with Donator Status multiplicatively.

*** Steam Engine is Rolycoly and its evolutionary line only, which the pokemon itself is yet to released in PokeMMO

 

 

Honey Gather

Gives small chance to pick up a Honey (Tradable consumables).

No tooltip on screen as it may be considered as in-battle ability by game.

 

 

Hustle/Pressure/Vital Spirit

Attracts higher level enemy.

 

 

Intimidate/Keen Eye

Repels some lower leveled enemies.

 

 

Pickup (Currently not working in Sinnoh)

Gives a small chance for the lead party member to pick up a random item.

Items obtained through Pickup depend on the map the player was training in.

Will only occur during wild encounters.

 

 

Sand Veil

Encounters are reduced by a flat 25% in Sandstorm overworld weather.

 

 

Snow Cloak

Encounters are reduced by a flat 25% in Snowstorm overworld weather.

 

 

Stench / Quick Feet / White Smoke

Encounters are reduced by a flat 10%.

 

 

Sticky Hold / Suction Cups

Fishing encounters are increased by a flat 25%.

 

 

Synchronize

The Nature of a wild encounter will have a flat 20% chance to match your lead's

 

 

 

 


Currently not in game:

Spoiler

Compound Eyes / Super Luck

Increased chance of encountering wild Pokemons with held items.

 

 

Infiltrator

Encounters are reduced.

 


Flash Fire (Fire)

Harvest (Grass)
Lightning Rod / Static (Electric)
Magnet Pull (Steel)
Storm Drain (Water)

Increased chance of encountering specific types if possible (Types are stated in brackets after ability name).

thanks for the list.
i have one question: does arena trap prevent pokemon in the safari zone from fleeing?

i assume it does not since you dont actually use arena trap inside of the battle but i was just wondering right now...
