External programs

it depends a lot on the situation!

For example if you are trading for RTM (yes! Can be banned)

If that '' person '' is using external programs that violate the rules of conduct of the game / forum and is obtaining several benefits through cheats and passing something to you and later on you are caught, yes it is banishment and for good reason.

What you posted isn't entirely true. Staff won't say one way or the other, nor will they actually tell you how to avoid being banned aside from the standards of, "Don't bot, don't RMT, don't scam, etc." If they were to come in here and explicitly answer this question then someone could use it to try and skirt the rules.

Simply put, there is no hard and fast way to know whether or not you will be banned for accepting items from someone who has broken ToS.
