The Pay Day Pokemon Selection (Pros and Cons Included)

bEn31FS.png

The in game Pay Day Mechanic is when you throw coins at a wild pokemon and you will get x10 the level of the wild pokemon (Level 20 Roselia x 10 = $200). Pay Day does not stack up if repeated nor can you repeat it in an NPC battle. Pay Day only applies to one target.

I hope you all are doing well with your in game adventure. When the move Pay Day was made a TM, my first question was "who are all the pokemon that can learn Pay Day now?" I could give you a list of all the pokemon in this guide, but I would like to list the abilities, base stats, and the perks and drawbacks of each Pay Day pokemon that is categorized here. I should note that Meowth can learn Pay Day naturally at Level 12 and Smeargle has to Sketch the move Pay Day on it. The other pokemon will need the TM which can be purchased in one of the Department Stores for only $10,000 (make sure you have at least 8 badges in at least one of the regions first for the full TM selection). Without further ado, let's start analyzing these coin tossers (numbering is based on the order for the PokeDex):

*Important Note: STAB stands for Same Type Attack Bonus.

22.ZlTn3nF.png Fearow

Spoiler

UkfqJG0.pngoTyPXAU.png

Ability = Keen Eye

Hidden Ability = Sniper

HP = 65

Attack = 90

Defense = 65

Special Attack = 61

Special Defense = 61

Speed = 100

Total = 442

Pros:

  • Strong Attack Stat of 90.
  • The ability Keen Eye prevents the loss of accuracy.
  • Pay Day is a STAB move for Fearow thanks to its Normal Typing.
  • Fearow has a decent amount of type coverage with Drill Run and Drill Peck.
  • You can also teach it False Swipe which can allow for you to double this pokemon as a catcher.
  • It is immune to Ground Type attacks thanks to its Flying Type.
  • Fearow can also threaten Fighting Types with its STAB Drill Peck.

Cons:

  • Fearow's longevity in the field is a bit limited due to its poor Defense and Special Defense stats.
  • Persian has the ability Technician which allows for harder hitting Pay Day rather than Fearow.
  • Fearow has no access to any spread moves which prevents this bird from addressing horde battles.

25.kHJNtr4.png Pikachu

Spoiler

HutfBmk.png

Ability = Static

Hidden Ability = Lightningrod

HP = 35

Attack = 55

Defense = 40

Special Attack = 50

Special Defense = 50

Speed = 90

Total = 320

Pros:

  • Pikachu has the ability Static which paralyzes a pokemon if it makes physical contact.
  • You also have access to Discharge and Surf which allows for you to address Horde Battles.
  • If Pikachu is holding a Light Ball, you can double your Attack and Special Attack stats.

Cons:

  • Pikachu's longevity in the field is a bit limited due to its poor Defense and Special stats.
  • As for Pikachu having its Spread moves, do not use it on a Graveler horde. Even with Surf, Graveler could have the ability Sturdy. Surf is more for Magcargo hordes and Discharge can handle other pokemon with a weak Special Defense Stat (Machoke, Gurdurr, etc).
  • Pay Day will not get a STAB Bonus.

26.iIJhG71.png Raichu

Spoiler

HutfBmk.png

Ability = Static

Hidden Ability = Lightningrod

HP = 60

Attack = 90

Defense = 55

Special Attack = 90

Special Defense = 80

Speed = 110

Total = 485

Pros:

  • Raichu has the ability Static which paralyzes a pokemon if it makes physical contact.
  • You also have access to Discharge and Surf which allows for you to address Horde Battles.

Cons:

  • Even if Raichu is the final evolution of Pikachu, the longevity of Raichu is limited due its poor Defense and Special Defense stats.
  • There is no Light Ball Boost to your Attack and Special Attack stats, so Pikachu can hit harder.
  • As for Raichu having its Spread moves, do not use it on a Graveler horde. Even with Surf, Graveler could have the ability Sturdy. Surf is more for Magcargo hordes and Discharge can handle other pokemon with a weak Special Defense Stat (Machoke, Gurdurr, etc).
  • Pay Day will not get a STAB Bonus.

31.Z98uH6q.png Nidoqueen

Spoiler

Bv7E6mf.png59VGdg2.png

Abilities = Poison Point or Rivalry

Hidden Ability = Sheer Force

HP = 90

Attack = 92

Defense = 87

Special Attack = 75

Special Defense = 85

Speed = 76

Total = 505

Pros:

  • The Bulk on Nidoqueen is quite good.
  • Nidoqueen has access to Earthquake and Sludge Wave which are good for addressing Horde Battles.
  • Poison Point allows for a pokemon to be poisoned upon making physical contact.

Cons:

  • Bulky Water hordes can be quite a pain for Nidoqueen because they are likely to Survive Nidoqueen's Earthquakes and Sludge Waves.
  • The Speed is decent, but there could be a lot of other threats that could outspeed Nidoqueen.
  • Pay Day will not get a STAB Bonus.

34.pv6nXac.png Nidoking

Spoiler

Bv7E6mf.png59VGdg2.png

Abilities = Poison Point or Rivalry

Hidden Ability = Sheer Force

HP = 81

Attack = 102

Defense = 77

Special Attack = 85

Special Defense = 75

Speed = 85

Total = 505

Pros:

  • Nidoking can hit a bit harder than the queen allowing for it to have a slight edge in getting more knock outs.
  • Nidoking has access to Earthquake and Sludge Wave which are good for addressing Horde Battles.
  • Speed stat is 85 compared to Nidoqueen's 75 which allows it to outspeed some more pokemon.
  • Poison Point allows for a pokemon to be poisoned upon making physical contact.

Cons:

  • Bulky Water hordes can be quite a pain for Nidoking because they are likely to Survive Nidoking's Earthquakes and Sludge Waves. Even with the boost in its Attack and Speed, Nidoking cannot face the threat of Gastrodon hordes without risking its life (unless the Nidoking is equipped with a Choice Band, but this is not ideal for a Pay Day scenario since you want move flexibility).
  • Nidoking is not a defensive pokemon, so if you may want to run if you see a horde of bulky pokemon.
  • Pay Day will not get a STAB Bonus.

52.5d9uaSn.png Meowth

Spoiler

UkfqJG0.png

Abilities = Pickup or Technician

Hidden Ability = Unnerve

HP = 40

Attack = 45

Defense = 35

Special Attack = 40

Special Defense = 40

Speed = 90

Total = 290

Pros:

  • This pokemon is the only one that can learn Pay Day naturally at Level 12.
  • Pay Day will be a STAB move thanks to its Normal typing.
  • Meowth also has the ability Pickup which allows for it to have a chance to pick up items after a wild pokemon fight (for more details on this, feel free to click on the Pickup link in the Abilities section of this spoiler).
  • Meowth has a base speed stat of 90 which allows for it to outspeed certain pokemon.
  • Meowth can also learn Dig which can save you money on Escape Ropes in case you are stuck inside a cave.

Cons:

  • Meowth's longevity is limited in the field due to its poor Defense and Special Defense stats.
  • I've seen some people have Meowth use the move Hyper Voice. While that may be a good strategy, Meowth's Base Attack is 45 and Special Attack is 40. You will need a lot of help to get Meowth past the finish line. My Meowth is equipped with a Choice Band and I even went for Adamant for added power to my Attack Stat and EV trained it 252 Attack and Speed (IVs were 31 Attack and Speed as well). Even with this assistance, I cannot knock out most pokemon at level 100.

53.MXVrFhy.png Persian

Spoiler

UkfqJG0.png

Abilities = Limber or Technician

Hidden Ability = Unnerve

HP = 95

Attack = 70

Defense = 60

Special Attack = 65

Special Defense = 65

Speed = 115

Total = 440

Pros:

  • Persian outranks Fearow as the most powerful Pay Day pokemon in existance thanks to a few factors:
  1. It's Technician Ability which allows for moves under Base Power 60 to have a +50% Attack Bonus. Pay Day's Base Stat is 40 which allows for it to be a 60 Base Stat move.
  2. STAB boost of another +50% since Pay Day is a Normal Type move.
  3. It's Base Attack Stat of 70. For maximum power, make sure you have an Adamant Nature (which is a nature that boosts physical attacks), 31 Attack and Speed IVs, and EV Train it 252 Attack and Speed. You can even equip it with a Choice Band and your Persian can start knocking a lot of pokemon out.
  • Persian can also learn Pay Day naturally implying that you leveled it up from a Meowth at level 12. This can save you an extra 10k.
  • You can teach it Shadow Claw for Ghosts and Aerial Ace for Fighting Types.
  • Persian can also learn Dig which can save you money on Escape Ropes in case you are stuck inside a cave.
  • Persian can outspeed a lot of wild pokemon since its Base Speed stat is 115!

Cons:

  • Despite Persian being the most powerful Pay Day pokemon to exist, hordes can stop a Persian in its tracks. Even with Hyper Voice, it won't be enough to save Persian from having the potential of being knocked out.
  • The longevity of Persian is limited due to Persian's poor Defense and Special Defense.

54.cTmZ5LV.png Psyduck

Spoiler

ItlwH6m.png

HP = 50

Attack = 52

Total = 320

Pros:

  • Psyduck can address Geodude hordes since it has the abililty Damp which prevents explosions. It can also use the spread move surf which can lower Graveler's health down to KO range.

Cons:

  • Psyduck's longevity is limited due to its poor Defense and Special Defense stats.
  • Pay Day will not get a STAB bonus.

55.ZFJyOVv.png Golduck

56.OEyJfTV.png Mankey

Hidden Ability = Defiant

HP = 40

Attack = 80

Defense = 35

Special Attack = 35

Special Defense = 45

Speed = 70

Total = 305

Pros:

  • The Attack Stat on Mankey is great for a Pay Day pokemon.
  • Mankey can also address a lot of its threats by moves such as Night Slash (this is an Egg Move passed by a male Absol), Close Combat for Skarmory and Flying types that refuse to be knocked out, Thunder Punch for Water Type threats such as Tentacruel (or Seed Bomb for Gastrodon), and you can harness your Pay Day Move as its fourth move.
  • Mankey's Base Speed allows for it to outspeed common wild pokemon.
  • If the Hidden Ability is enabled, then your Attack Stat will increase if one of your stats is lowered by your opponent.

Cons:

  • Mankey's longevity is limited due to its poor Defense and Special Defense stats.
  • Pay Day will not get a STAB bonus.

57.5QxigXR.png Primeape

  • If the Hidden Ability is enabled, then your Attack Stat will increase if one of your stats is lowered by your opponent.

  • Primeape's longevity is limited due to its poor Defense and Special Defense stats.
  • Pay Day will not get a STAB bonus.

78.sCKKQYK.png Rapidash

Spoiler

YWSZNtr.png

Abilities = Run Away or Flash Fire

Hidden Ability = Flame Body

HP = 65

Attack = 100

Defense = 70

Special Attack = 80

Special Defense = 80

Speed = 105

Total = 500

Pros:

  • Rapidash has a base Attack stat of 100 which is good for Pay Day.
  • 105 Speed stat is also great for Rapidash to outspeed certain threats.
  • Rapidash also has access to a STAB spread move with Heat Wave.
  • If you have the Hidden Ability enabled, then this will be the only Pay Day Pokemon that can double as a pokemon to carry for faster Egg Hatching.

Cons:

  • Rapidash could be threatened by bulky Water Types and Gravelers.
  • Rapidash's longevity is limited due to its poor Defense and Special Defense stats.
  • Pay Day will not get a STAB bonus.

79.Dc0W7sF.png Slowpoke

Spoiler

ItlwH6m.pnghFURECF.png

Abilities = Oblivious or Own Tempo

Hidden Ability = Regenerator

HP = 90

Attack = 65

Defense = 65

Special Attack = 40

Special Defense = 40

Speed = 15

Total = 315

Pros:

  • Slowpoke can learn Surf which is good for addressing horde battles.
  • Slowpoke and its family are quite good in its Defense stat.

Cons:

  • You may stay in the battle for a long time due to Slowpoke's lack of good Attack and Speed stats.
  • Slowpoke is vulnerable to Electric and Dark type pokemon.
  • Pay Day will not get a STAB bonus.

80.i9XKYSe.png Slowbro

Spoiler

ItlwH6m.pnghFURECF.png

Abilities = Oblivious or Own Tempo

Hidden Ability = Regenerator

HP = 95

Attack = 75

Defense = 110

Special Attack = 100

Special Defense = 80

Speed = 30

Total = 490

Pros:

  • Slowbro can learn Surf which is good for addressing horde battles.
  • Slowbro and its family are quite good in its Defense stat.

Cons:

  • You may stay in the battle for a long time due to Slowbro's lack of good Attack and Speed stats.
  • Slowbro is vulnerable to Electric and Dark type pokemon.
  • Pay Day will not get a STAB bonus.

86.HjkY0Hb.png Seel

Spoiler

ItlwH6m.png

Abilities = Thick Fat or Hydration

Hidden Ability = Ice Body

HP = 65

Attack = 45

Defense = 55

Special Attack = 45

Special Defense = 70

Speed = 45

Total = 325

Pros:

  • No perks to note.

Cons:

  • Seel is an awful pokemon all around. All of its stats are poor.
  • Pay Day will not get a STAB bonus.

87.TmNkNiZ.png Dewgong

Spoiler

ItlwH6m.pngvCiBpMe.png

Abilities = Thick Fat or Hydration

Hidden Ability = Ice Body

HP = 90

Attack = 70

Defense = 80

Special Attack = 70

Special Defense = 95

Speed = 70

Total = 475

Pros:

  • Dewgong can learn Surf which is good for addressing horde battles.
  • Dewgong's bulk is quite good added to its Thick Fat ability which reduces the impact of Fire and Ice Type moves.

Cons:

  • Even with a slight improvement to its pre-evolution's stats, this pokemon is still an awful choice to use. The Water/Ice Type combination hurts Dewgong on both sides of the spectrum (I am thinking of Superpower, Thunderbolt, any powerful Rock Type Attack move, etc).
  • Pay Day will not get a STAB bonus.

112.823X2BN.png Rhydon

Spoiler

bOrXzW2.png59VGdg2.png

Abilities = Rock Head or Lightning Rod

Hidden Ability = Reckless

HP = 105

Attack = 130

Defense = 120

Special Attack = 45

Special Defense = 45

Speed = 40

Total = 485

Pros:

  • Rhydon is great at addressing certain horde battles thanks to its Earthquake and Rock Slide combo.
  • Rhydon can also give trouble to any pokemon that would want to explode on it like Graveler.
  • Eviolite can Double its Defense and Special Defense.
  • Rock Head Rhydons are also good for grabbing Double Edge knock outs.
  • Pay Day can hit decently well.

Cons:

  • Rhydon's typing is rather poor. A bulky water type could hamper Rhydon's ability to go through battles.
  • The Speed is also quite poor. Base Speed of 40 is not good for Rhydon who is quite vulnerable in a PvE setting (Rhydon cannot run from the bulky water types which could outspeed it).
  • Pay Day will not get a STAB bonus.

133.XYaMBsi.png Eevee

Spoiler

UkfqJG0.png

Abilities = Run Away or Adaptability

Hidden Ability = Anticipation

HP = 55

Attack = 55

Defense = 50

Special Attack = 45

Special Defense = 65

Speed = 55

Total = 325

Pros:

  • With the Adaptability Ability, Eevee is stronger than Meowth.
  • Pay Day will get a STAB boost.

Cons:

  • Meowth is good in the Speed department, which makes Eevee a tough choice.
  • Eevee lacks the movepool to make it a good choice to use for type coverage.

134.w7xkWS8.png Vaporeon

Spoiler

ItlwH6m.png

Ability = Water Absorb

Hidden Ability = Hydration

HP = 130

Attack = 65

Defense = 60

Special Attack = 110

Special Defense = 95

Speed = 65

Total = 525

Pros:

  • Vaporeon is great at addressing certain horde battles with the move Surf (it can also switch safely into an Water Type Horde assuming that they have mostly Water moves thanks to its Water Absorb ability).
  • There is also quite a bit of some bulk to Vaporeon which allows for longevity (not to mention its Egg Move Wish).

Cons:

  • Vaporeon is vulnerable to Grass tand Electric Types (some grass types can even sponge an Ice Beam from Vaporeon).
  • Vaporeon's Attack stat doesn't provide a punch for using its Pay Day move. Thus, you may be in the battle for a little bit.
  • Pay Day will not get a STAB bonus.

135.EbYkZFR.png Jolteon

Spoiler

HutfBmk.png

Ability = Volt Absorb

Hidden Ability = Quick Feet

HP = 65

Attack = 65

Defense = 60

Special Attack = 110

Special Defense = 95

Speed = 130

Total = 525

Pros:

  • Jolteon is great at addressing certain horde battles with the move Discharge (it can also switch safely into an Electric Type Horde assuming that they have mostly Electric moves thanks to its Volt Absorb ability).
  • Jolteon can also hit some pokemon quite hard on the special side.

Cons:

  • Jolteon's longevity is limited due to its poor Defense and Special Defense stats.
  • Jolteon is vulnerable against certain physical attackers.
  • Jolteon's Attack stat doesn't provide a punch for using its Pay Day move.
  • Pay Day will not get a STAB bonus.

136.pmD8az5.png Flareon

Spoiler

YWSZNtr.png

Ability = Flash Fire

Hidden Ability = Guts

HP = 65

Attack = 130

Defense = 60

Special Attack = 95

Special Defense = 110

Speed = 65

Total = 525

Pros:

  • Flareon's Attack stat is the highest of any Eevolution on PokeMMO at 130. This allows for Flareon to hit decently well with Pay Day and its other physical moves.

Cons:

  • Flareon can learn Pay Day/Flare Blitz/Superpower/Body Slam. Each of these moves has a draw back to them.
  1. Pay Day = This move can hit decently well, but there is a good chance that the pokemon survives your attack thanks to Pay Day's base stat of 40. Flareon has to hope that the foe does not have any surprises up its sleeve.
  2. Flare Blitz = Flareon is quite vulernable due to its poor Defense Stat which is how a lot of wild pokemon attack it. This move is an added risk because you could take recoil damage if Flareon lands its Flare Blitz move.
  3. Superpower = Lowers its Attack and Defense which makes it more in the target range for certain pokemon to take advantage of.
  4. Body Slam = This move has more of a contact drawback. You are at risk of being either paralyzed or poisoned due to either Poison Point or Static activating.
  • Flareon has a poor Defense stat which makes it a frequent target.
  • Speed is also poor as well which makes Flareon a potential dead weight to the team.
  • Pay Day will not get a STAB bonus.

143.9ejR2BY.png Snorlax

Spoiler

UkfqJG0.png

Abilities = Immunity or Thick Fat

Hidden Ability = Gluttony

HP = 160

Attack = 110

Defense = 65

Special Attack = 65

Special Defense = 110

Speed = 30

Total = 540

Pros:

  • Pay Day will get a STAB bonus.
  • Snorlax has an excellent Attack stat which allows for it to hit quite hard!
  • HP and Special Defense is also quite excellent! Longevity is not a problem for Snorlax!
  • One of its abilities can patch up a certain weak spot you are concerned about. Immunity prevents Snorlax from being Poisoned and Thick Fat allows for it to reduce Fire and Ice Type attacks!
  • Snorlax is also excellent for addressing hordes thanks to its Earthquake and Rock Slide Moves!
  • Snorlax can also hold Leftovers and use Rest which can expand longevity!

Cons:

  • Not everything is all sunshine and roses for Snorlax thanks to Fighting type Swarms which can hit Snorlax at its weak Defense stat. They can knock out Snorlax quite easily if you are not careful.
  • Snorlax is also quite slow, so a lot of wild hordes can give you mild annoyances (put you to sleep, confuse you, attract you, etc) before you deal the pain. This also means that you will have a hard time fleeing from some PvE wild battles.

Hidden Ability = Inner Focus

HP = 95

Attack = 65

Defense = 110

Special Attack = 60

Special Defense = 130

Speed = 65

Total = 525

Pros:

  • Umbreon is quite bulky which can allow for it to use Pay Day and stall the foe out till it dies with your Toxic.
  • Umbreon also has the Synchronize ability which allows for your opponent to experience your pain as well (if you Will-O-Wisp me, then you will be burned too).
  • Umbreon has access to Wish and Heal Bell as well which can heal both health and status allowing for more longevity.

Cons:

  • All Umbreon can do is to use Pay Day and just wait until its opponent faints. Some people may find this boring to watch because it is a PvE stall.
  • Also, Umbreon has a vulnerability to Bug and Fighting types.
  • Pay Day will not give you a STAB bonus.

  • Slowking and its family are quite good in its Defense stat.

Cons:

  • You may stay in the battle for a long time due to Slowking's lack of good Attack and Speed stats.

Pros:

  • No perks to note.

Cons:

  • This pokemon's stats are downright awful. Do not rely on an ice penguin to fetch money for you, it will fail 9/10 times.
  • Pay Day will not get a STAB bonus.

235.BtoCNol.png Smeargle

Spoiler

Hidden Ability = Moody

HP = 55

Attack = 20

Defense = 35

Special Attack = 20

Special Defense = 45

Speed = 75

Total = 250

Pros:

  • You can mold Smeargle to whatever you want for it to be. Pay Day is good to have on it in case you can use it on weaker pokemon.
  • Pay Day is a STAB move.

Cons:

  • Smeargle's stats are the main drawback. Don't use Smeargle against a strong wild pokemon. Only use it on ones you are confident that you can overpower (ie: Level 100 Smeargle VS Level 24 Clamperl).
  • Sketching the Pay Day move is going to take some work, but feel free to look into this guide if you want to know how the Sketch move works:

Pros:

  • No perks to note.

Cons:

  • This cat's stats are not really the best for Pay Day use. It would be better if you can have this cat at home where it is safe from danger.

301.nUvl9p6.png Delcatty

Spoiler

UkfqJG0.png

Abilities = Cute Charm or Normalize

Hidden Ability = Wonder Skin

HP = 70

Attack = 65

Defense = 65

Special Attack = 55

Special Defense = 55

Speed = 90

Total = 400

Pros:

  • Pay Day is a STAB move.
  • Thanks to Delicatty's unique Normalize ability, you can use Thunder Wave against Ground Types. Normalize turns Thunder Wave's Electric Typing into a Normal one.

Cons:

  • Delcatty is not really good against hordes.
  • Delcatty's stats for the exception of the Speed stat are still not really ideal. Delcatty is best suited to play with a ball of yarn and keeping you company.

446.kBGIlrQ.png Munchlax

Spoiler

UkfqJG0.png

Abilities = Pickup or Thick Fat

Hidden Ability = Gluttony

HP = 135

Attack = 85

Defense = 40

Special Attack = 40

Special Defense = 85

Speed = 5

Total = 390

Pros:

  • Pay Day will be a STAB move thanks to its Normal typing.
  • Munchlax also has the ability Pickup which allows for it to have a chance to pick up items after a wild pokemon fight (for more details on this, feel free to click on the Pickup link in the Abilities section of this spoiler).
  • Munclax has a Attack stat of 85 which is higher than Meowth's 45 Attack stat.
  • Munchlax has what Meowth does not, good longevity. HP is 135 and Special Defense is 85.
  • Munchlax can also hold Leftovers for additional longevity while picking up items for you in the lead slot.
  • This pokemon is also good against hordes thanks to its access to Earthquake and Rock Slide.

Cons:

  • Not everything is all sunshine and roses for Munchlax thanks to Fighting type Swarms which can hit Munchlax at its weak Defense stat. They can knock out Munchlax quite easily if you are not careful.
  • Munchlax is also quite slow, so a lot of wild hordes can give you mild annoyances (put you to sleep, confuse you, attract you, etc) before you deal the pain. This also means that you will have a hard time fleeing from some PvE wild battles. This is esspecially worse for Munchlax since its base Speed stat is only 5.

464.HqZl0DM.png Rhyperior

Spoiler

bOrXzW2.png59VGdg2.png

Abilities = Lightning Rod or Solid Rock

Hidden Ability = Reckless

HP = 115

Attack = 140

Defense = 130

Special Attack = 55

Special Defense = 55

Speed = 40

Total = 535

Pros:

  • Rhyperior is great at addressing certain horde battles thanks to its Earthquake and Rock Slide combo.
  • Rhyperior can also give trouble to any pokemon that would want to explode on it like Graveler.
  • If you pull this Rhyperior in against a Machoke horde, then you can choke it up thanks to your base 130 Defense stat alongside your Solid Rock ability which nerfs super effective moves.
  • Pay Day can hit decently well.
  • The Attack Stat is 140 which is extremely high!

Cons:

  • Rhyperior's typing is rather poor. A bulky water type could hamper Rhyperior's ability to go through battles.
  • The Speed is also quite poor. Base Speed of 40 is not good for Rhyperior who is quite vulnerable in a PvE setting (Rhyperior cannot run from the bulky water types which could outspeed it).
  • Pay Day will not get a STAB bonus.

470.6w6k9NJ.png Leafeon

Spoiler

KZaW3I1.png

Hidden Ability = Chlorophyll

HP = 65

Attack = 110

Special Attack = 60

Special Defense = 65

Speed = 95

Total = 525

Pros:

  • This pokemon can handle itself quite well in singular battles.
  • Attack and Speed are quite good.

Cons:

  • Leafeon is lacking a good movepool to choose from which hampers its ability to be effective.
  • HP and Special Defense are quite disappointing.
  • Pay Day will not give a STAB bonus.

471.L53BAU9.png Glaceon

Spoiler

vCiBpMe.png

Ability = Snow Cloak

Hidden Ability = Ice Body

HP = 65

Attack = 60

Defense = 110

Special Attack = 130

Special Defense = 95

Speed = 65

Total = 525

Pros:

  • This pokemon can handle itself quite well in a Snow Team.
  • Defense, Special Attack, and Special Defense are quite good.

Cons:

  • Glaceon needs support from Snowscape setters such as Abomasnow or Vanilluxe in order for it to be truly effective in a PvE setting.
  • The Ice Type is not really a good Defensive type because of its weaknesses against certain common types in PvE like Rock or Fighting.
  • Your Attack Stat is not good, so you need to survive the next turn and knock out the wild pokemon in order for your money amount to count.
  • Pay Day will not give a STAB bonus.
