Disclaimer: I am still a relatively new player having over 500 hours of playtime on my name. On top of that, this is my very first guide, meaning that mistakes are bound to happen. Please let me know as soon as possible of any inaccuracy in information, spelling or grammar mistakes (English is not my first language). Thank You in advance and enjoy the read!

Introduction:

Spoiler

You have finally finished all 4 Regions available in the game (Johto tomorrow), and you feel like sticking around to experience the endgame of PokeMMO? You may even wonder what the endgame has to offer.

Well... You could be enjoying yourself in exciting PVP matchups against other players, and start to learn more about the competitive scene; The vast amount of tournaments you could join, both official and community based, all targeting different tiers; perhaps even joining a team and compete in Team Tournaments.

Of course, PVP is the main focus for most players when it comes to the endgame of PokeMMO but there are plenty of other things you can do as well such as shiny hunting, participating in catching events to win awesome prizes, capturing temporary legendaries, starting your own shop where you could advertise breeding or farming berries to clients, or doing the pokemon contest...In which please do not ask me anything about cause I have no clue on how that works xd.

But jokes aside, there is quite a lot that PokeMMO has to offer. However, it is indeed an MMO, and like most MMOs, grinding for the MoOooney can take quite a while. However, with this guide I can hopefully guide you in the right direction in fast money-making, using one of the most common ways of earning cash.

Purpose:

Spoiler

The main goal of this guide is to help beginners start their journey towards the endgame of PokeMMO by focusing on the aspect of quick and efficient money-making. One of the best methods of making cash is NPC Rematches. NPC Rematches like the term states, is the ability to verse a trainer as many times as you want (with a cooldown), for the whole purpose of making money (and gain experience points).

There are 3 types of NPC Rematches: Gym Rematches, Trainer Rematches, and Elite 4 Rematches. I tried my best to give brief tips and indications of how to tackle these specific aspects. However, I did not go through extensive detail, as most of the points I provided below, have their own guides made by other members of the community, and I did my best to link them as much as possible. This guide is just a way to brief it all up into one place and give some of my own advice based on my experience.

How to use this guide:

Spoiler

This guide is divided into different sections, and some may have sub-sections

The first section will give you a brief overview of how much profit you can make with Gym Rematches and Trainer NPC Rematches, and both combined (Elite 4 Profits coming soon™). Boosts such as Amulet Coin and Riches Charm are included. These rematch payouts will hopefully give you an indication of how much you can make with just a few hours of your day, and get you excited to start building a team to sweep them in no time.

The second section is all about giving you tips and small guides on different components you will need in order to efficiently sweep and make an adequate amount of cash when NPC Rematching.

The last section includes an FAQ where I linked more guides that will help you with various aspects of the game, so be sure to check it out.

Most of the sections have a title of the respective subject, a small description, and the content below it, which is contained into spoilers (Click on the spoiler to access the content), making the guide less extensive and overwhelming.

How you can contribute to this guide:

Spoiler

I am a relatively new player meaning that I still have quite a lot to improve on, and I want this guide to help new players as much as possible. However, I most likely missed some tips that might be very crucial to learn or simply be helpful. If you are aware of any, then please reply to this guide, and I will try my best to respond as soon as possible and add/modify it!

Gym Rematch Profits (18hr Cooldown)
Description:

Spoiler

Gym Rematches are one of the most popular ways of earning money in PokeMMO. Many players will recommend you to do them if you ever asked what the fastest and most reliable way to make money. (99% of new players in global chat xd)

A Gym Rematch is the ability to be able to face any gym leader repeatably with a cooldown of 18 hours every time you have defeated them. Gym Leaders are well known to give a substantial amount of money, and knowing that there are around 33 Gym Leaders and the minimum amount of cash received is roughly 8.6k, you can be sure that you will make a lot of money pretty quickly.

In this section, I will give you a detailed overview of how much profit you can make by battling gym leaders in each region. The whole purpose of this is to give you an indication of how much money you can make with just 2 or 3 hours of your day (more if you have alts).

The data was put into tables in which they display each region's gym leaders. Each row includes: the name of the gym leader, the type the gym leader specialises, the location of the gym leader, the payout with no boost, the payout with amulet coin, the payout with riches charm, and the puzzle length that goes from start to finish (The time starts when you enter the gym, reach the gym leader, and exit the gym -- In addtion, these are rough times meaning that you might get faster or slower times). Below the main table, you can see the overall total with the different types of boost and how they compare with each other. Below the profit illustrations, I left a link to the gym leader's guide made by @RedactedColour & @Bestfriends, so be sure to check them out!

If you have any questions about this section, please reply below and I will try to answer as soon as possible!

Useful Tips

Team Building for NPC Rematches

Spoiler

It is essential to have level 100 sweepers to ease your life when doing Gym Rematches and NPC runs, especially if you are doing them with an Amulet Coin and you need to get the job done quickly to get the most amount of profit. I will be providing my teams that can hopefully help you with these different tasks (Disclaimer: My teams may not be as good as yours, but they get the job done anyway, I am here to give suggestions). The team showcase format was taken from @RedactedColour & @Bestfriends Gym Guides. These guides are amazing and well put, so please, if you want the full knowledge on how to destroy all the gyms, then take the time to check them out, the links are below!

Gym Rematch Sweepers

Spoiler

The best Gym Rematch sweep teams known in PokeMMO at the current moment are the Sun Team and the Rain Team. For most Gyms, the Sun Team can sweep with no problems in less than 2 minutes each. However, there are a few Gyms in which the Sun Team can't fully sweep in an efficient amount of time, and therefore, the Rain Team is a good replacement. Most of these sets were inspired by Bestfriends & Redacted's Gym Rematch guides, so once again, be sure to check them out!

───────────────

Heat Rock Sun Team:

Spoiler

As stated above, the Sun Team is one of the most popular Gym Rematch sweep team. The idea behind this team is so that you take advantage of Typhlosion's powerful Eruption attack that does over 150 base damage at full health. This attack can sweep most pokemons without sturdy or focus sash/band even if it's not very effective. There are few variations of this team such as Drought Torkoal with Heat Rock & Scarf Typhlosion, or using 2 or more Typhlosion, or just use both methods combined to get a fully op sweep team. Here are the sets for both Torkoal and Typhlosion and you can decide yourself on what to do:

───────────────

Torkoal (Level 100)

Sun and Stealth Rock setter. The low speed IV is to ensure that you can set sun.

https://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/2/27/Spr_5b_324.png

Nature: Bold (+ Defence, - Attack)

IVs: +25 HP/-- Attack/31 Defence/+23 Sp Attack/+20 Sp Defence/0-15 Speed

EVs: 250 HP/252 Defence/8 Sp Defence

Ability: Drought

Item: Heat Rock

Heat Wave/Eruption, Solar Beam, Earth Power, Stealth Rock

───────────────

Typhlosion (Level 100) (x2 if you prefer)

This is your main sweeper. Eruption spam should do the trick, especially if you are running 2 Typhlosions (You can PP Max Eruption too if you want). If your Typhlosion's health is substantially low you can switch and put it back into battle and use the ability Blaze to do damage with Flamethrower. I suggest using Modest Choice Scarf if you intend to use only one Typhlosion.

https://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/0/01/Spr_5b_157.png

Nature: Modest (+ Sp Attack, - Attack); Timid (+ Speed, - Attack)

IVs: +25 HP/-- Attack/+25 Defence/31 Sp Attack/+25 Sp Defence/31 Speed

EVs: 6 HP/252 Sp Attack/252 Speed

Ability: Blaze

Item: Choice Specs/Choice Scarf

Eruption, Flamethrower, Extrasensory, Solar Beam

───────────────

The rest of the team can be filled with: A Physical Sweeper (Explained below), Chlorophyll Sweepers, A pokemon you want to level up using an Exp. Share (Excellent way to level up your pokemons while farming cash), and etc. (Click here to view a video guide made by Bestfriends, it explains the Kanto Gym run very well and gives a full description of his team in the comment section. He also has other guides in his channel, so be sure to check them out!)

Damp Rock Rain Team:

Spoiler

The Rain Team is the ideal replacement for the Sun Team. In most cases you would use the Sun Team, however some gyms do have quite annoying counters to it. The 3 types of gyms I use the Rain Team instead of the Sun Team are: The Fire type gyms (due to some of their mons having the ability Flash Fire), Iris (It's hard sweeping Dragon types with Fire types, and she may have the occasional powerful Samurot), and sometimes I use it against the Rock type gym leaders.

───────────────

Pelipper (Level 100)

This is your Rain setter for your Swift Swim sweeper(s). The most effective way to use Pelipper is to not lead with it, but switch to it in round 1. E.g. You start the game with Kingdra and the pokemon you are levelling up, and the first thing to do is to switch your mon you are levelling into Pelipper so that the Rain can be set successfully (You could just breed it with a 0 speed IV but it could still be faster than other pokemon setting weather hazards like Torkoal; on top of that it can support Swift Swimmer sweepers well by having decent speed). However, you can also not do this if you are 100% sure the Gym Leader has no weather setters, please check guides above!).

Nature: Bold (+ Defence, - Attack)

IVs: +25 HP/-- Attack/31 Defence/+25 Sp Attack/+25 Sp Defence/31 Speed

EVs: 252 HP/252 Defence/6 Sp Defence

Ability: Drizzle

Item: Damp Rock

Hurricane, Scald, Ice Beam, Roost/U-Turn

──────────────

Kingdra (Level 100)

This is your main sweeper. Similarly to Typhlosion, you can spam Muddy Water for the most part (You could use Surf but it's too risky in my opinion, and it attacks your ally even if there are no mons present against you). Ice Beam and Dragon Pulse can be used against Iris very well, but be careful of her own Dragon types! Scald is there just in case you need a guaranteed OHKO due to Muddy Water only being 85% accurate. If you wanted, you could have more than 1 but I have decided not to for my own runs, up to you.

20161209233033-dream_choice_ba(2).png.264b81ee3324d843f415f9db2ab203eb.pngPhysical Sweepers:

Spoiler

This type of pokemon is completely optional. Some Gym Leaders may have pokemons such as Chansey or Blissey which are known to be very bulky special defenders. I have had multiple occasions in which one of these 2 pokemons have survived Eruptions after Eruptions, and therefore I wanted to come up with my own solution for it. I'm going to list 2 pokemons in which I have used to counter these bulky special defenders, however, you can use any good physical attacker. If you think your physical sweeper is worth adding into this list, then feel free to leave a reply with all the specific stats, item and moves, and I will add it as soon as possible (You will only need 1 Physical sweeper in your main Gym Team)!

───────────────

Destroy those annoying Blisseys with Brick Break or Close Combat. You can use him to sweep Iris and some others too. 4th move is completely optional, Dual Chop can be used for sturdy/sash mons.

Haxorus (Level 100)

Nice guide! I looked into it and I found some changes you should make.

  • I updated my guide and some trainers changed payout. Socialite Reina is $4000 now .
  • And at Route 9 you made a small spelling mistake : Shooping Mall. I think you meant Shopping Mall with that.

Can't wait till it is finished! Good luck bro!
