MacFatinga
So this is my first iteration of an OU team that I want to setup. The pokémon that I would say are the mains of the team would be Metagross as a physical attacker and ferrothorn as a phys wall. With those both I already have more than enough steel. But this is the team that i've come up with: Metagross @ Choice Band Ability: Clear Body EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe Adamant Nature IVs: 24 HP / 22 Def / 17 SpA / 13 SpD - Bullet Punch - Hammer Arm - Meteor Mash - Zen Headbutt Alakazam (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Synchronize Shiny: Yes EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Psychic - Focus Blast - Shadow Ball - Thunder Wave Ferrothorn (F) @ Leftovers Ability: Iron Barbs EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SpD Relaxed Nature IVs: 9 SpA / 7 Spe - Stealth Rock - Spikes - Power Whip - Thunder Wave Blissey @ Leftovers Ability: Natural Cure EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 SpD Calm Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Wish - Protect - Toxic - Flamethrower Hydreigon @ Life Orb Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Modest Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Dark Pulse - Roost - Draco Meteor - Focus Blast Cloyster @ Never-Melt Ice Ability: Skill Link EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Shell Smash - Icicle Spear - Rock Blast - Ice Shard Any help or tips would be really appreciated since I'm pretty new to competitive team building! soyhector
x4 pokes weak to fight and no defog or rapid spin. Also Draco Meteor for Hydreigon is banned on Pokemmo. If you want to teambuild i recomend you to focus on duets. For example: if I would like to use Dragonite i could complement it with Lucario (they cover each other weaknesses), then I see that its difficult for my Dragonite and Lucario to kill Hippodown (of course it depends if Dragonite and Lucario are mixed or special or physical, but we will asume on this example that they are both physical) so I decide to Add Rotom that can kill Hippodown with Hydropump and also it can Defog....and you continue like that Lin and MacFatinga 2 Link to comment

I've since remodeled the team a bit, but I want to keep both metagross and ferrothorn, as I think that metagross can surprise oppnents and has potent STAB moves with great coverage. The problem with keeping both of them in is that fire types are going to be dificult to deal with. With that in mind i decided to put in a bulky SpA Rotom-Wash, with the following kit: Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers Ability: Levitate EVs: 232 HP / 56 SpA / 220 Spe Modest Nature IVs: 2 Atk / 30 Def - Volt Switch - Hydro Pump - Will-O-Wisp - Hidden Power [Ice] (Not sure if i'm going to keep this one, might switch for thunderbolt). With that addition, i've seen the OU viability ranking and decided that maybe garchomp would be a good idea, with the kit: Garchomp @ Choice Scarf Ability: Rough Skin EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Outrage - Earthquake - Dual Chop - Fire Blast So the team is this for now: Metagross @ Choice Band Ability: Clear Body EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe Adamant Nature IVs: 24 HP / 22 Def / 17 SpA / 13 SpD - Bullet Punch - Hammer Arm - Meteor Mash - Zen Headbutt Ferrothorn (F) @ Leftovers Ability: Iron Barbs EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SpD Relaxed Nature IVs: 9 SpA / 7 Spe - Stealth Rock - Spikes - Power Whip - Thunder Wave Garchomp @ Choice Scarf Ability: Rough Skin EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Outrage - Earthquake - Dual Chop - Fire Blast Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers Ability: Levitate EVs: 232 HP / 56 SpA / 220 Spe Modest Nature IVs: 2 Atk / 30 Def - Volt Switch - Hydro Pump - Will-O-Wisp - Hidden Power [Ice] Not sure what other 2 pokemon i should choose, what are some good OU defoggers / Special walls, cause i think that's what I'm missing the most. I would also like to know if having a bulky Wish pokemon would help, thanks alot! Link to comment
