how to get legendary pokemons?

i read in somewhere that for me to catch legendary pokemon I have to wait for events, but what events are these? and how i know about they?

A few legendaries are available to catch and keep for a temporary amount of time. For more information check out this guide:

In the future we are planning to add event-like dungeons where players get to keep some legendaries forever, so keep an eye on the updates section.
