Question about the new cloud nine ability.

What does this mean? I thought it was the same.

I just tested it on flannery's gym and scald doesn't ohko torkoal from my golduck anymore, plus solar beam is still a 1turn charge move even when cloud nine is active, what does the ability even do anymore?

Apparently, Cloud nine now disables all effects of the weather permanently. Even if the pokemon with cloud nine is knocked out and the current weather ends, and if u resummon a new weather, the effects are still negated

I have been doing gym runs for a while with golduck to save a few minutes in battles that have weather effects and I can confirm that always when my golduck died, the weather was gone anyway (even the animation), but now no effects are apparent, 1 turn solarbeam, torkoal taking less damage from scald, animation and text still up.

It should 100% negate the effects, but the animation would stay... I think.
