No Guard ability notification

SierscMaster

Question

There should be an ability notification (the one which is by default in right corner of the battle window) when enemy pokemon land a hit only because of "No Guard" or smiliar ability if any other exists. It is very confusing when we are getting hit even tho we used for example Fly or any other move that should make us invulnerable for the turn. Simillar mechanic is already in place for example for "Static" ability - we know that enemy pokemon has "Static" only after we receive a notification about it after we get paralyzed.

If you get hit while using Fly, then you know it's No Guard. So why is it confusing and why would you need the game telling you something that you already know?

And why are you using Fly really, story?

Confusion around this ability is extremely common for storyline players who are unaware of it, there's nothing telling them why they got hit by a move that would otherwise miss so they tend to assume that it's a bug. As long as ability indicators only display when the move would be guaranteed to miss otherwise, this is a pretty harmless suggestion.

Yeah it makes sense I guess considering the direction this game has been going for. I'm personally not a fan of having everything being spoonfed (i.e. showing which moves are SE vs opposing mons). Oh well.

I think you guys (except for Rache) did not understand one thing: - this notification won't show at the start of the battle or on a switch like for example Intimidation. This will be shown only after the attack that otherwise should miss hit. For those of you who knows whythe ability hit this information won't change anything, but for other players this will provide explanation why this happened.

storyline maybe, but in pvp, not so much. Giving away, for example, a guts machamp for free just cuz storyline shouldn´t happen.
