We miss you, Lax

The Berry Forest is one of those places where you can’t hardly tell the difference between night and day. The tall and leafy trees just let a handful of sunbeams pass, creating a dark yet magical atmosphere. It is the true realm of calm and serenity.

Meowth and I loved to walk around this place. I could say it was the peaceful silence. I could say it was because of those joyful moments when we spotted some fallen berries under the weeds. I could say we loved the smell of the creaking woods and the sweet sound of the many wild pokemon we always came across. I could say it was because we were Pay-daying.

But we would be lying to ourselves. We would, because secretly, we were always looking for you, Lax: for your footprints in the mud, for a trace of your fur on the bark of the trees, for any of your Leftovers…

And now, now we are very worried. Worried because we have been looking for you for weeks and we can’t find you, because we can’t spot your footprints anymore, because we can’t hear your distant growl, because a rumour started to spread all across the island. A rumour that tells that we won’t be able, ever again, to run across you. A rumour that tells that you were hunted down, that you fled, that you disappeared...

We can’t go back to the Berry Forest anymore, Lax. It is too sad, it is too painful; because everything there reminds us of you.

Berry Forest's hero

Oh, what a summer, this summer of ‘19, I still remember it like it was yesterday. It was such a warm period, every day felt like a day on Stark Mountain. All I could think of was relaxing in the shadow and having a coconut drink. As I was spending my summer in the Kanto region, I travelled to Berry Forest to find me some shadow, berries and coconut drink.

Once I arrived there, I found the perfect place of shadow next to a tree that seemed to contain coconuts, to be more specific I saw three coconuts hanging there. They were just a bit too high to reach, but luckily I had a pokemon with me that was able to headbutt the tree, so I summoned this pokemon and asked it to headbutt the tree for me. Oh what a bad move was this… Suddenly the tree started shooting seeds at us and so surprised as we were, we backed up as fast as we could and then we saw how the tree stood up on its legs, how amazing!

I realized this had to be a Pokemon so I took my Pokedex and looked it up. I found this Pokemon that was described as “The Walking Jungle” and this was it, I was sure, it was an Exeggutor. Immediately I started to apologize and told him I thought he was a tree with coconuts. At this moment the Exeggutor started to laugh so hard and it was so contagious that I started to laugh too.

After this the Exeggutor decided to spend the afternoon with me and showed me the nicest place to relax in the forest. It was a pond next to some trees,  and yes it were real trees this time. So we just relaxed there next to the water and when I got thirsty he would use the move “Bestow” to give me some berry juice. It was so relaxing that I fell asleep after a few minutes. That was till I heard it, I heard sounds of a fight going on. When I woke up I saw Exeggutor being attacked by a Snorlax. Yes, back in those days the forest still had a problem of wild and hungry Snorlaxes. If you go to the Berry Forest you’ll still see the signs warning you for wild, berry-loving Pokemon, now you know why!

I couldn’t let this happen, this Exeggutor became my friend and I had to help it! The Snorlax was so big and because of that I realised we had to use this against him. I told the Exeggutor to use grass to make the Snorlax trip. This move was called Grass Knot and because the Snorlax was so big, he really felt the fall. But still he wouldn’t give up and continued attacking Exeggutor. We had to go for a more drastic move, so I told Exeggutor to kick the Snorlax low to make it fall again. So the Exeggutor used Low Kick and the Snorlax fell again. Snorlax stood up another time, looked at Exeggutor and realised he had no chance. That day this Snorlax and all the others left Berry Forest. I heard they went to Cerulean Cave to try to steal mushrooms from Parasects.

Exeggutor became the hero of Berry Forest and all other Pokemon in the forest were so grateful and gave their new hero the nickname “Snorlexeggutor”. After this, a deep bond between Exeggutor and me was created and he never left my side again. We became an inseparable team and every weekend we still go to visit Berry Forest where he always gets welcomed like a true hero.

This is the story of how I met Berry Forest’s hero, The Walking Jungle, Snorlexeggutor:
My best friend, Exeggutor.

Imiss my friend Jon

(What I lack is friends, not money)

折叠

It was a beautiful summer, the sun was so warm, I opened pokemmo as usual , my goal is to become a Pokemon master and win the championship of various Championships.

I shuttle through the grass to find the strongest Pokemon. That day, I was trying to pass the Unova region League. There was a person wearing a pig hood and pig costume at the entrance of the league. His name was Jon. He's looking for help, and I've guided him through the league, so we've become good friends.

We often shuttle in all corners of the city, inside the forest, in the caves and in the water. Jon's goal is to become a flash treasure dream collector.

So one day, Jon invited me to look for flash treasure dream. It rained a little on that day. The place was the water outside the twin Dragon spiral Tower. We wanted to look for flash Dratini! As we chatted and fished with fishing rods, suddenly my screen flash appeared. I was very happy to tell Jon and caught the flash Dratini. Jon asked me if I could sell the mini dragon to him. What I told him at that time was: of course, my good friend.Jon said: 2m is OK? I replied: my friend, no problem. After a while, some of the onlookers paid a high price of 10m! I was defeated by money after all.

So I lost my good friend. Now when I think about that summer, do I need money to play pokemmo? No What I need is friends. Hope you can come back to me! My friend Jon

                                                                                              Magikarp
As well as we know,Magikarp is the weakest pokemon in the world. But I do not think so.In my opinion,Magikarp is the strongest pokemon in my heart.
When i was 5,i loved watching Pokemon Battle in TV,i think pokemon battle is so exciting and intersting.I wanted to be a Pokemon Battle Master.I loved pokemon so much so that when i met a Magikarp,i will be surprised and say i meet a pokemon!I will cathch it!But my parents always said:Magikarp is the weakest pokemon in the world!it is difficult to train!Every met a Magikarp, the same words rang beside my ears so that i did not catch any Magikarp.I always met Magikarp, never met any other pokemon.I think i had a destiny with Magikarp. When i met a Magikarp again,i made a decision to catch it but this Magikarp was different to any other Magikarp. It is golden..No one of it kind likes to be close to it.I felt his loneliness so i catched it.I wanted to be Pokemon Battle Master so the road to Pokemon Battle Master began. The pursuit of dreams is important to the process of chasing dreams, not the results.
After cathing Magikarp,my parents do not agree in train Magikarp because they are trash and my Magikarp is strange. But i still trained my Magikarp never gave up.I always spent time with Magikarp, did some interesting things together.helped it wash its scales and trained it day after day but he never wanted to evolution.I loved it so i never forced it to evolution. My relationship with it was getting better and better. When i 10-year-old,i can start travel.I traveled with my golden Magikarp. The road to pokemon master is difficult. When i traveled to Viridian Forest,i strated pokemon battle in Viridian Forest.Fist day,I just had a Magikarp so i can not win any other people in pokemon battle.Suddenly i did not want to battle but i keep battle because it is my dream to be a Pokemon Battle Master. My Magikarp saw me and remembered it just can use splash and tackle. Then the Magikarp wanted to be stronger to win the battle.Do not let me see it just use splash and tackle again. The Magikarp wanted to evolution Gyarados. But i can not understand my Magikarp want to evolution.Second day,i started pokemon battle again because i believe my Magikarp can win pokemon battle. The result is the same as the first day,i can not win any battle. In the evening,i saw a teenager. He told me:Magikarp is trash,it can not do anything!Your Magikarp is golden!Have you transformed it?I was so angry, but i did not do anything. He said again:Noob trainer,do you dare to play against me?I will beat your trash Magikarp. When i wanted to say no,my Magikarp jumped in front of me.I knew it wanted to have a battle. Then a pokemon battle started,Magikarp can not do anything to win the battle so that i thought i will lost. But when the battle started a minute,my Magikarp had evolved red Gyarados and won the battle easily. In that time,i realized that a weak pokemon can also become strong. And i gave up to be a battle master.
The pursuit of dreams is important to the process of chasing dreams, not the results.Although i give up this dream,i learn a lot from the bond between me and my Magikarp. The power of bond is endless.

Falkner Gettin' older

d6m8sbi-f2ef1243-5734-4df5-8689-f23fe3c1

Who's there?
He is gone, but who lived in these cages? Was it you or your birds?

He was obsessed with feathers and low flights. Hour after hour at this bird hatchery; it was getting dark and you were still there, absorbed, you took more care of your Articuno than yourself. I wonder where will you be now? The wings were still resounding, breaking the air at twilight, when you arrived so tired and taciturn to clean the other cages. Then, you devoted yourself even less to those useless Pidgeys. You seemed to stagnate, your passion became suffering, a recurring compulsive idea. Your hair was just as gray as Staraptor fur; instead of showing you, you wore masks.

One day you didn’t return, you saw yourself abandoned, disappointed. The routine - I thought -; you never wanted to be the pokemon master, the League Champion or a leader. But in the moment where that epic Ice creature wasn’t faithful to you, you collapsed. I wasn’t going to tell you that, even if you were not there, Articuno would continue to flap its wings, riding another ornithologist on its back perhaps. What would become of that motivator who lifted you up to open your gym. Now, you were begging for health, now you were a sky covered in black clouds. Oh Falkner, darling, sleep a little longer, you'll soon heal.

         - Sick? me? I need my birds! - you cried.

You needed to stop flying, I implored you to land. But what am I without you. You gave me peace in war, silence in Hurricanes and a high Fly when I wanted to Dig. You came back, but your Articuno was gone, it was Pressure excess. You came back, you looked for It, you destroyed all your hatchery, now you were inside the cage bars. I barely looked at you with my Keen Eye, and you provoked Eathquakes. Your eyes expressed the deepest perversion of those who yearn at all costs to destroy everything in their path. And I tried to dance with my feathers, it wasn't enough. I only asked for a Roost but you still miss their blizzards. I was just asking you for no guard as I fluttered in circles, trying to get you away, and comfort you. But it wasn’t like that. You didn't want to touch ground, Falkner.

The day you passed away I perceived a haze hovering around your grave; not a single feather fell. I didn't find any more sense in that cage. I was immortal when I saw the slightest possibility of reinventing myself, without a master, without rules. I got Big Pecks.
And I wanted to resurrect you a couple of times. I remembered the day I met you and I stopped being me, now I've recovered my free nature. Now all heaven belongs to me, I am a scattered spirit planning Violet City honoring your absence, remembering what you did for this city in our Gold/Silver years. So, I say goodbye, I will fly from time to time to Protect your Tombstone, I wish a no Return, but you will always accompany the fire, when I only want to Defog the ashes. I'm Jolly to had met you.

The girl with her head in the skies

"Shoot" I muttered to myself as I reached Pewter city. The quaint town was filled with small homes, and people leisurely walking the streets without haste. I realized immediately I may have bitten off more than I could chew once I saw the rock type gym looming in the town's background. I had only ever owned and trained flying Pokemon, and rock types sure were troublesome for me. As I walked to the Pokemon center to heal I noticed some Pidgey flying overhead as one of their feathers fell to the ground slowly before me. I smiled to myself before my mind took me back to a darker time.

"No please don't hurt me!" I yelled as I looked down at my stubby body too small to present any threat to the Beedrill cornering me in the forest. I began to walk backwards trying to gain distance as the menacing Pokemon moved towards me with his horns raised toward me.

I knelt down and picked up the brown feather before putting it in my pocket as a good luck charm. After healing up my flying types in the center I strolled to the gym enjoying the nice autumn breeze pushing some rusted leaves around the ground.

I felt the steady stream of water falling down my face as I realized they were my tears. What would Mom and Dad think when I wouldn't return home? Would they remember me? Why did I have to get lost in this stupid forest anyway?

I focused back on the present as Brock and I were on our last Pokemon. My Pidgeotto was looking rough as she flew low to the ground covered in dirt and scrapes.

"Using flying types against my rock type Pokemon perhaps isn't the best decision" Brock said confidently as his Onix lunged forward again. The giant rocky snake just barely missed my Pidgeotto as she flew to the side as dust exploded where she had just been. Was I already going to be defeated here? At my very first gym since leaving my home of Alola.

Beedrill raised his horns and made a gutteral cry as he flew forward towards me. I closed my eyes continuing my crying before suddenly I heard a commotion. I opened my eyes to see a Pikipek, Oricorio, and Vullaby had descended on the Beedrill who was only a couple feet in front of me. Flashes of feathers and stinger showed through the scuffle before the Beedrill gave up on his attack flying away.

"Y-you saved me" I said as the three birds waddled forward pecking their beaks around my clothes to make sure I was okay. I reached out my hand to touch their feathers, and felt a warm tuft of their wings as they happily cawed appreciation for my grooming.

I opened my eyes again seeing the Onix coiling back as it was preparing to lunge forward once again to my Pidgeotto. I reached my hand down in my pocket and felt that warm sensation of a feather in my pocket. Whenever I felt helpless and terrified I got my strength from those feathers. They had saved my life, and my life goal of becoming a flying type trainer was to repay that debt.

"Pidgeotto quick dodge and hit with wing attack from above!" I shouted as Onix barely missed landing in the dirt of the battlefield as Pidgeotto soared down from above with wings glowing. The battlefield grew silent as the force of her wings swept up a fog of dust. Once it settled though Onix was limp and Pidgeotto stood triumphantly on top of it.

"Onix is unable to battle! Kahili is the victor" the referee said as I proudly ran forward to hug my Pidgeotto.

"Well hey turns out those birds of yours are stronger than I thought" Brock said with a smile as he handed me a shiny gray badge.

As I left the gym I once again looked to the sky to see a flock of Pidgey disappear behind a line of trees.

"Let's go" I said to myself as I looked out at the horizon with my Pidgeotto resting on my shoulder.

The Banette who couldn't stop laughing

Spoiler

Banette is a very rare Pokémon, although everyone is afraid of it, I am attracted to its shape and its dark aura.

Long ago I found a Shuppet in the Sky Pillar of the Hoenn region, my mission that day was to find the legendary Pokemon Rayquaza to stop the fight between Groudon and Kyogre, however the most interesting thing that day was this Shuppet that despite his melancholic aura he couldn't stop laughing.

"HaHaHa!!" - Shuppet was laughing, at first I wondered what was so funny, but over time I stopped being interested, since I got used to my Pokemon very quickly.

With time and a lot of training, Shuppet evolved to Banette, her power and aura were stronger and her laughter was more and more beautiful, although many thought otherwise. Every time Banette entered to fight our rivals trembled with terror upon hearing her laugh. However, something disturbed me, because it seemed that they were more terrified of something else than Banette's laughter.

Little by little Banette and I became closer, so I decided to give her a name, a bond that would seal our friendship forever, her new name was "Ereshkigal", like the goddess of the underworld.

One day I met a trainer who also loved ghost-type Pokemon, his favorite Pokemon was Gengar, his name was "King". When we met, the first thing we did was measure our forces in combat, although for some reason Ereshkigal did not behave in the same way as always, his laughter was not heard as always, it was rather malevolent laughter.

During that fight, I felt a feeling of darkness in my chest, almost like hatred for my rival and his Gengar, since it was like seeing myself, weak and without purpose, fighting just for fun.

Buah, Pathetic! - I thought.

At that moment Ereshkigal let out the biggest and most beautiful laugh that was ever heard, my rival was horrified and his Gengar was without desire to fight, Ereshkigal and I took the opportunity to defeat and humiliate them. I felt great power when Ereshkigal laughed and at that moment I didn't care why.

Over the years, I gained popularity and reputation among the pokemon trainers, they nicknamed me "The Lady of the Underworld", they all trembled with terror when they saw me fight, and much more when they heard Ereshkigal laugh. So it was until the day I met that pokemon trainer and his Gengar again.

Glad to find you again! - He told me. I have something important to tell you. You have become strong and everyone is afraid of the Lady of the Underworld. But you forgot something important, you stopped wondering why your Banette doesn't stop laughing during the fight. The last time we fought I realized why. You've been fighting with hate and anger since you met her, you can't stop listening to her laugh because she seems beautiful to you and you're so attached to your partner for a reason, your Banette laughs for a reason, but if you can't find her yourself Has no sense. Bye and good luck!

At night I wondered what he really meant and one day in the library reading a book I found the answer ... "Banette is a pokemon who feels anger and hatred for those who abandoned her."

… It was like a revelation… Banette does not laugh… Banette feels hatred and desires for revenge… … And it was when I realized that his laughter was because of how others were terrified by what they saw in me. How she was the one who was the trainer and I was the pokemon.

Ereshkigal never stopped laughing.

Divided we fall, Together we rise

Vivid sunray strikes gently through the window panel and smoothly crawl across my face. I opened my eyes then gazed at the serene sky. Greater happiness course inside of me because this will be the day that I will start my own unique adventure. I rapidly went downstairs and greeted my mom “good morning ” with an enthusiastic spirit. Familiar aroma of my Mom’s cooking made me quite teary since this will be the last day for a very long time that I will manage to eat her superb dishes. I ate my breakfast at tremendous speed because of excitement and so that I won’t be late on going to Professor Juniper’s Lab. I hugged my Mom tightly and she asked me with a gentle voice to always take care and give her a heads up whenever bad things might occur. As I walk down the aisle of our road, I caught a glimpse of the everyday routine of several Pokemon. Horde of Pidove graciously sang a sweet melody while Patrat and Lillipup dance by the rhythm beneath the tree. Purrloin stretching her splendid body and preparing to take the morning walk. Looking at them go, I swiftly wonder who will be the very first Pokemon beside me.

Soon, Professor’s Lab is on sight. I knocked on the door and Professor Juniper welcomed me inside her lab. We talked about various things regarding Pokemon and she grant me some essential pointers as a fresh trainer and gave me some necessary equipment such as Pokeballs and Potions. Then the moment of picking my very own starter Pokemon went by. She unleashed three different Pokemon that is new to my eyes. The first one named Oshawott made a brave appearance and he place his hand beside his chest like it’s saying “you can count on me”. The next one named Tepig made a cute voice as he jump around, it seems excited on meeting a new person. The last one entices my heart as he magnificently jump and made a soft landing on the floor. His name was Snivy. He piqued my interest and a suddenly jolt of connection was made when both our eyes met. He seems quite dignified but I picked him because I knew and I felt that we will become the very best together.

We embark on our first journey together and shortly we encountered a familiar bird on the road. It faces us up-front and I confirmed that it was indeed a Pidove. Our foremost battle commenced, I ordered Snivy to use Tackle Attack and Pidove dealt a great damage. Soon I throw a Pokeball on Pidove and both me and Snivy are nervously staring at it while it sways left and right. Soon, the Pokeball stayed still and we knew that we successfully caught our second companion on our great story. We reached the Striaton City afterwards. Snivy and Pidove made an excellent tandem and we manage to beat our first gym and got our earliest gym badge and proceeded to hit the second badge. I also made a few friends while travelling from one City to another. Our team expanded on a breathtaking growth as we catch countless of Pokemon along the way onto our last gym badge. On that moment, Snivy already evolved to Servine and lastly, into Serperior. We had a hard time dealing with Iris because of her powerful dragon types Pokemon but Serperior made a huge comeback and we got our last gym badge and now we’re gearing up to beat the Elite Four. During that time, my friends already gave up their starters just for the reason that they have "Average" stats and power compare to other Pokemon, so they didn't use them anymore. I unleash Serperior out of his Pokeball. Loud and Ferocious cry echoed in the wilderness, brave yet majestic pose at the end. All of the memories together from the moment I picked him, up until now, burst inside of me, in that moment, I knew we can beat the Unova Region together. One by one, we wiped out the Elite four but it is not an easy feat, because we are all too exhausted and I even feel our brink of defeat while facing towards our greatest threat so far which is the Pokemon Champion, Alder. We exchange blows at extreme speed, from one Pokemon to another. Up to the point that Serperior and Volcarona are the only Pokemon we both got standing. Type advantage wise, Serperior is on a great disadvantage as for the reason that Volcarona is also a Fire type Pokemon. But thankfully because of my vigorous Unfezant, his Volcarona is now weary before facing Serperior. The battle between the two made the Pokemon League tremble. Moves after moves, both parties take a huge damage to one another. I shouted will all my might to proceed with my last resort “Serperior, use Solar Beam!!! ” with a harsh sunlight spreading throughout the arena, Serperior swiftly release the powerful beam of light and it directly hit Volcarona. Smokescreen covered the whole battlefield and as it all clears up, Volcarona is laying on the floor and Serperior is standing still, emitting a strong aura of triumph.

Finally, because of the help of Serperior and my other Pokemon, we manage to beat the Unova Region without losing a single battle. Thinking about it, there are several ups and downs that we stumble upon along the way. There are also moments that I lose hope but strangely, the very existence of Serperior on my team screams "don't give up ", and I surprisingly win through it. Now it has come to an end, another beginning will emerge. Although it makes me unhappy, I need to let go of Serperior and my other precious Pokemon in order for me to move onto another region and grow more as a trainer. I checked his Pokeball one last time and I glance at it and gently said goodbye with a sad tone. I went to the Pokemon Center and I opened the PC. I placed him together with all the Pokemon that we encountered and caught along the way. Sadness is all I felt but before I closed the PC, I looked into Serperior one last time and another silent voice whispered in my ears saying "You can do it, because I always believe in you ".

Title:

No need to be scared of ghosts

Spoiler

“Look at this amazing view, boy”, I said to my Umbreon who was sitting next to me with my hand on his head, gently caressing him. “Who would’ve thought we’d make it this far. We really went through a lot. Endless struggles, tough opponents, bad luck, we managed to rise above it all.” Before us was a sea that merged with sky in far distance, shades of red and violet sunset was giving away the line that separated it. “You know, you really helped me along the way. I don’t know what would’ve happened with me if you weren’t there. That night in the woods… It.. It makes me shiver even know.” He snuggled himself closer to me and smiled, leaving a soothing sound, which calmed me down but the scene was still so very vivid, etched in the back of my mind.
Pine trees. Tall pine trees everywhere, hiding the sun. It was not a sunny day, at least I thought so, because we weren’t able to see the sun. Forest was crawling with pokemon, little misty and dark, but nothing was giving away the sinister feeling, at least not when we entered. We were walking through the forest for an hour or so, but the weariness was slowly kicking in since we were in a great hurry to reach the Eterna city. All I could see in that damn forest was trees, kakunas, and metapods. None of the pokemon we encountered came to my interest, I was secretly hoping to find a scyther but I was down on my luck that day. The words can’t even describe how rotten my luck was. Lost in all the walking and daydreaming, we found ourselves at a crossroad. Right path was looking, well, ordinary, nothing was different from the path we were walking on. The left one, on the other hand, was looking abandoned, like no human foot stepped there for a long time. I failed to realize how foolish I was for not picking the right path straight away, but it was as if something was pulling me, calling me from the deep shadows of the left. Mindlessly I made a first step to the left, then another, and another. I must’ve looked like a zombie, but Umbreon was vigilantly walking by my side, trying to understand the reason for my irrational decision. When I came to my senses I was standing before what seemed like an abandoned manor, covered in moss and holes, windows were broken, but the gates were open. It felt like a second to me, but I must’ve been walking for at least an hour, because when I looked around nothing was familiar. Path behind us was completely lost, covered with grass and trees, like it was never even there in the first place. It was getting dark, as if things weren't bad enough. The air was much colder. “I’m sorry, boy, I don’t know how we got here. Are you tired? I know I am. But it’s too late to go back, what do you think, should we go inside? I’m sure it’ll be warmer, and it looks like it’s our best option by far.” We went few steps further to take a closer look, but darkness fell quickly and my eyes were struggling. “Did you see? Something moved, in the bushes down the left wing of the house?” I started to shake as I wasn’t sure if that was real or just in my mind. “You’re probably right, I guess I’m just exhausted, and I’m starving, we better go inside and take a look. We could both use a long rest and a good meal.” Everything was surrounded with silence, the bad kind of silence you find in graveyards, but turning back was no longer an option. With minimum effort we managed to open the door, it was dark inside but we were able to see two paths of stairs and one door before us, we couldn’t see where the stairs were leading to. There was no furniture anywhere. As soon as we entered I felt some sinister presence, but it was not coming from the house. Like someone was watching us from the outside, I peeked through the window and caught a glimpse of something, but my eyes were too slow. And then I’ve heard it, the most gentle yet terrifying voice, calling my name. I felt shivers down my spine, I was paralyzed with fear. I tried to make a move but the floor was slipping away, everything was moving away, like I was shrinking. Grasping for air, troubled deep breaths, feeling of loneliness. But then, I felt warmness beside me, his head was beneath my hand. “It’s going to be alright, boy.” But my voice gave away the doubt that was lurking. We had no idea what was going on, and then we heard the voice once again, this time it was louder. “M.. Mother?” Sound of broken glass echoed deep into my mind. Just saying that word made my world collapse, made me realize that it can’t be, she’s not here anymore. “Umbreon, use protect!” But the evil aura was still pulsating around us. “You’re right, Go, Luxray! Can you see what’s going on?” Thanks to his vision he detected the cause of all this. It was a Misdreavus swarm, we were surrounded. We came outside, but they were everywhere. I felt discomfort in Umbreon and Luxray. “Umbreon, use protect!” he deflected multiple Hex attacks that were targeted at us. “Luxray, Roar! We’re gonna be alright boys, trust me!” But Roar didn’t scare them, it only made them angrier, they all attacked with Payback. “Both of you, Protect!” Strong blast pushed us back, I slammed against the wall but managed to catch both Umreon and Luxray. “Are you guys ok? Can you still fight?” The impact must’ve left some consequences, but they looked at me with so much confidence, their souls were crying out to show me how desperate they are to protect me, to protect each other. I never felt such strong bond with my pokemon until then. Our souls entwined in that moment, we could feel each other's feelings, know each other's thoughts, it was as if we were one, me and my pokemon. My best friends.  “Let’s show these guys what we’re made of, Umbreon, use Helping Hand! Luxray, use Bite!” He managed to hit two of them, but a Shadow Ball was already fired at him, coming from the right. “Luxray, quick, Wild Charge! Aim for the one on your left!” He listened without hesitation and managed to dodge it in the last second, and before I could blink he stroke the one on the left. Umbreon, use Bite!” Tables have turned, we were on the offense. As I watched Umbreon and Luxray fight back to back my heart filled with joy, two of my best friends, so graceful and strong. I knew I was safe, with them by my side nothing bad can happen. “Don’t let your guard down!” Only few of them remained, but they attacked with Shadow Sneak. “Quick, dodge and use Crunch!” What was left of the swarm disbanded, and we found ourselves alone.”Thank you so much, you two! You saved my life.” They jumped into my arms so hard that I fell, but it didn’t hurt at all. Laughter broke the silence of the night. “Come, it’s warmer in the house, and I have something for you.” We entered once again, tired, we just sat in the left corner of the house and I pulled few Iapapa berries from my backpack, very sour taste was their favorite. Stale sandwich from the day before was more than enough for me. Full moon finally appeared and illuminated the room through the broken glass, it was old and dusty but not scary at all. We’ve scattered the fear with the power of friendship, we finally found peace. At least for the night. In the morning, everything was so quiet. Rays of light woke us gently, as we bathed in the warmness of the sun. It was one of the happiest mornings of my life, despite the terrors of the night before. We were together, well rested and ready to continue our journey, and it was all that mattered.
Many great adventured followed, some were filled with happiness and laughter, others with sweat, tears, pain and misfortune, but the important thing is that I cherish them all. Who knows, maybe the time will come to share another story, maybe something more joyful. But of one thing I’m certain, even though the memories of that night, of that evil voice still haunts me, I know that I will continue to walk my path, I will keep climbing. Because with them, there’s no limit to what we can do. With them by my side, it’s just a matter of time when we’ll reach the sky.

Peter and I

A calm breeze softly blew through the rows of flowers, as tall, bright green grass fenced the couple of neighborhood houses, and the lone laboratory that could be found in this whole region. Pallet is a name that symbolizes my growth. Within this place, I have learned a lot about the world and the creatures known as Pokemon, that co-inhabit these lands. I consider myself lucky to have lived here for most of my life, but just as the wind comes from a place unknown, and blows away far from where it originated, I also had to start a journey that would take me far away from the place I've called home for as long as I can remember.

A Squirtle, that I decided to give the nickname Peter to, was the Pokemon fated to be my guard at the start of this adventure.  Bearing a hard shell able to withstand blows, along with a serious nature that would complement mine, together we were ready to take on the whole world—or so I thought. This hopeful idealism changed when I had to face my very first opponent in a battle. The mechanics of a battle were not alien to me, but all the knowledge I had acquired through my years of study did not prepare me for the shock of seeing Peter fighting. I  managed to defeat my opponent, but this victory came at a price: even though I had won, Peter was hurt in the process.  Victory or defeat, the result would always be the same: Peter would have to exchange blows for my sake with whatever Pokemon an enemy trainer sent into battle. Is this what I have been preparing myself for so long?

The thought was troubling; my first competitive battle against another trainer could also be the last. The dread of realizing that my lifelong dream was not what I made it out to be was about to take a hold of me, when all of a sudden, a voice within me uttered, "Will this be the end of your adventure?" I was not willing to place my companion in harm's way, but abstaining him from the hardships of battle would hinder him from growing and becoming a stronger Pokemon. I was able to grow through the knowledge found in books; however, Peter was a Pokemon, unable to read and dabble with theory; the only way for him to learn, improve and grow, was through practice. Was protecting him from the dangers of battle the right choice for me to make? Within my hometown of Pallet, all my necessities were met and fulfilled, but I was not certain if the same could be said for my friend.

I picked up Peter, cradling him in my arms and I said to him, softly, "How are you feeling buddy? Let's get you checked up. That Bulbasaur must have a nasty headache. A few of those tackles landed on your shell." Peter licked my arm, and turned his head to see what was ahead, I was looking after him and he was watching out for me, keeping an eye on the wild Pokemon that we could encounter on our way to the Pokemon center. Having arrived, I did not see sadness or distress in the faces of the trainers we crossed paths with while on our way here. The nurse said that a rest would be enough to restore my friend to full health, and I was relieved and very glad to hear that.

On our way back home, walking together under the stars, I was thinking that perhaps battling was not as bad as the first impression I got of it, and even if I had decided to never put Peter through something like that again, being weak or strong would never change the love I felt for my friend. Who knows, maybe he would be happier if we won contests together instead of battles. This time around, Hoenn sounded like a nice place to visit.

This is the story of a very brave pokemon.

As usual I was with my partner Medicham meditating in the depths of Mt Moon as training for the next tournament. I had previously had visions created by my partner when he wanted to communicate something important to me, but not during our meditation since he takes it very seriously, so it must be something very important.

His vision led me to what seemed a very remote time, I could recognize that same area of Mt Moon by the way the mountains were placed, but they could be seen much more rugged and leafy, as if the erosion of the years on them it would not have taken place yet. The vision focused on the valley, a small Omamite was fighting at a great disadvantage against several Rampardos who seemed to be having fun with their suffering, but a great combative spirit gushed out from the little Omanite, I could feel it. In an oversight one of the Rampardos was left unprotected, the little Omanite charged and surprisingly he could knock him down. The vision faded.

Fascinated with that combative spirit of little Omanite, I was disturbed and I could not continue meditating. Why had Medicham shown me that scene? I repositioned myself a little from my lotus position and felt a little sting in my knee, as if there was something very hard and pointed on the ground, Medicham was still meditating. I got up ready to remove that object from the ground and continue with my meditation, but to my surprise it was not a stone, it was a fossil, of what looked like an Omanite, when I tried to get it out of the ground I could feel its strength, its combative spirit , no doubt that fossil was that of that Omanite of vision.

Over time after reviving Omanite he became one of my strongest pokemon, evolving into Omastar, always thinking of improving and being stronger, training from sunrise to sunset, it seemed that his ambition had no end. We managed to win several Nu tournaments, where I always had him in the finals. But his inner fire burned even more when he learned that Rampardos had been brought down to Nu after science had revived him a short time ago. As Medicham and I noted, Omastar would not rest until he had his revenge, and he will have it sooner or later ...

I wonder what will become of him in the future, in thousands of years will some brave coach find his fossil again and give him the opportunity to become even stronger if possible? Maybe Medicham can show it to me someday.

This is the story of my Omastar, or isn't it?

Title: Getting my best friend

It was a normal day but there was a tournament on the doorstep that had been able to access the prize a rather rare, quite determined pokemon and after a lot of training with my friends I decided to try the rest it would be too difficult since like me there were many other trainers that also They would fight to get it but I had to give it my best and I trusted my Pokemon to help me achieve it.
The first match started I managed to get a great advantage thanks to crobat that gave my rival a lot of problems with his speed after all we trained for that and he did not disappoint me at all like the rest of my team who gave their best to achieve the first victory in a long journey of 7 battles
The second fight was faster than the previous one because we managed with my 6 pokemon to give strong and accurate blows in addition to the fact that the rival was not well prepared to face these
Before the third fight we had a big problem since my Pokemon as the time to fight approached were losing confidence and they also wondered what would happen if we won what would happen if we managed to get the prize they would be relegated or forgotten so we had to train and give ourselves the security that nothing would change after all despite the fact that if we manage to get the award there will be a long way to go to continue improving and so we went out to the 3rd fight to give everything of ourselves and we managed to win with all the confidence that we won the 4th 5th and 6th combat were battles both of strategy and strength as well as courage and bravery since our rivals also gave their best
It was before the final match that everything seemed to fall apart we were all nervous crobat, lanturn, forretres,, medicham, sigiliph, typlosion, they all gave their best so far but it seemed that getting here was one thing to win it would be another we were against one of the best Trainers with more experienced and better prepared pokemon but we couldn't back down it was time to show what we were made of. All starts very slowly we had to take care of his offensive but we could not wait all the time was from one moment to another that when we decided that it was to give the best of ourselves we hit with all faith and the force led us to take advantage we were 3 to 3 remaining forretres medicham and crobat we had to put everything into play the first confrontation between forretres and the rival mamoswine we were going to win it thanks to the counter of my Pokémon that surprised the rival his magneton would enter that defeating her forretres with a single blow medicham hit with fury to magneton defeating him and leaving only one pokemon of the rival that was going to be crobat who obviously defeated medicham for his advantage so everything would be decided in a last turn crobat against crobat both quite wounded whoever moved first would win I trusted mine both attacked but thanks to the training sessions and thanks to the faith that we had between us, mine was able to give the coup de grace to the rival's and so l We managed to win the title and another prize was a pokemon one that not everyone would have because it was a yanmega of a color very different from all the others.
So it was that we got it and I say all because he is not only my best friend but all the pokemon I have because they all gave their best to bring him to the family because we are all the winners of that day in which the tournament strengthened and that so special yanmega is the one that shows that all our training and all that we are.

Path

(1485 words)

I stood still as I could, trying to maintain my calm. I always maintained my calm. Mud caked my sneakers from the damp cave I’d been camped in for three nights. My hands quivered slightly, revealing the near equal mixture of adrenaline and exhaustion that was coursing through my veins.

My breath was heavy, each gasp amplified by the jagged walls surrounding. I looked down at the mud in front of me, where a chorus of hoofprints told the tale of a hard-fought battle. Wasn’t it the truth?

It was. I hadn’t had a hard-fought battle in years. The Pokemon League? A breeze. The Gym Challenge? Cakewalk. Every single battle with that loser who’s been following me around since Oak’s lab? Child’s play.

Seven years had passed since the day I had beaten Lance, a victory achieved without breaking a sweat. My Lapras had used a total of three moves to fell the so-called Dragon King, and with that, a childhood dream of mine had once again come and gone without even a hint of excitement.

It’s not exciting if it’s easy. It’s just boring.

After the championship, life got hazy, and I found solace only in vice. Even in the darkest of my depths, though. I knew a true challenge lie out there somewhere.

A pebble fell free from its stalactite overhead, snapping me back to attention. A black and yellow ball that held my life’s work lay a few feet in front of me. It rustled slightly, unbridled power within.

About two years ago, I’d been at a tavern in Celadon. I’d been there so often, I didn’t need to speak to the bartender anymore. I walked in, and he poured me a pint. Didn’t feel much like talking those days, anyway.

I had talked to someone that night, though. It was a very strange old man who’d come in very late. He instantly chose the seat directly next to mine.

“I’m not interested in company,” I had said.

“You’ll want to hear what I have to say,” said the strange man.

The bartender slid him a draught like he was a regular.

“Do I know you?”

“No,” replied the man, “and I don’t know you. But I’ve heard a lot about you.”

“I don’t do autographs.”

“Ever heard of legendary Pokemon?”

I’d heard of Legendary Pokemon, yes. As a child. The phrase was tucked away somewhere in my subconscious, lurking unfulfilled beyond my grasp.

It was a long night, but I took notes. A lot of notes. The next day, I cast aside my life of sin as easily as I had slipped into it, and set about on my new path.

Though the path wasn’t new anymore, and there I stood, frozen in place, at the end of it.

The ball on the ground stopped quivering, so I picked it up. It felt warm even in my gloved hands as I held it up to inspect it. It hadn’t yet struck me what I’d just accomplished, how much power I now held in my hands. But it was starting to sink in.

Is this what joy feels like?

It was different, that’s for sure. I’d just won a battle tougher than any I’d had in my entire career – and I had a 5 on 1 advantage! This single Pokemon had taken out my mighty Lapras with the flick of its wrist. Pidgeot was nursing frostbite seconds after I sent him out.

I’d finally gotten damage off, but it cost me a Pokemon – my Gengar’s shadowball rocked the creature, but a moment later its pulse sailed across the room, and Gengar was out. I sent out Jolteon, and a surge of voltage bound the creature’s arms behind it’s back. Even paralyzed, this thing was a force to be reckoned with – another psychic blast cast aside the thunderous cat.

I recalled the wounded beast and unleashed my final, and strongest, weapon. The three tails of Tauros whipped furiously as I commanded him to slam its entire body weight into the legendary Pokemon. Finally, the onslaught was beginning to have an effect. I could see the will of the creature dissipating slowly, and each psychic attack grew less and less powerful. Still, my Tauros couldn’t handle this much longer – he took recoil with every thrust.

After what felt like forever, I hurled an ultra-ball at my target. It shook twice – then burst open, a sharp shard of fiberglass piercing my arm in the process. Six more balls were met with similar effects – but at last, on the seventh, there was no burst.

My team had always been more than adequate, but to see their combined power matched by a single Pokemon was astounding. The possibilities were endless.

I let the ball slide from my hands, and it hurtled towards the ground. In seconds, the creature stood before me once again.

Hello, Trainer.

I jumped back upon hearing the words echo in my head.

“You…talk?” I stammered.

To those who are worthy. You’ve bested me in combat – I am yours to wield.

I stood up a little straighter. With this thing by my side, was there anything I couldn’t do? I would be bored no longer. Society would be reshaped by my hand, whether it liked it or not.

It was time to leave this place. I turned to gather my backpack.

A challenger approaches.

I turned to the creature. “What do you mean, a challenger? No one knows about this place but me!” But I could hear the footsteps.

My mind raced as I tried to deduce the situation. Had I been followed? Impossible – I’d been here for three days. Surely I’d have noticed someone else. Perhaps it was the strange old man – or he’d sent someone else.

As the footsteps closed in, I made out the shape of a taller, younger man. He had on a gray hoodie and black pants, and was lazily juggling a pokeball in his free hand. A smug smirk rest on his face, and his hat barely managed to cover his red hair, jutting out in all directions.

“Who goes there!” I shouted. “Identify yourself!”

“Whoah, chill out man,” the stranger sneered. “I saw the beacon!”

“The beacon?”

I turned to the creature for an explanation, but its eyes were fixed on the man. The word “challenger” rang out again in my head.

“So – let’s do this!” the stranger said, planting his feet in the ground.

My heart began to race again. That battle had taxed my entire party to its limit – it had taken everything I had to catch the legendary. But the Legendary – it was mine to wield. Only I was worthy.

I wasn’t about to wait for this man to make his move. Patience is folly.

“Mewtwo, attack!” I screamed.

The red-haired man chuckled and sent a ball flying my direction. The creature raised its hand, sending a purple pulse careening towards my opponent – but it stopped short.

“What?!”

A dark figure grew exponentially from the man’s pokeball, filling the cavern from floor to ceiling. As red faded away, I could see what had caused the psychic to stop – it was an enormous beast, made of pale green rock with black streaks on its arms.

“Tyranitar, crunch!” shouted the man. The beast lumbered towards Mewtwo. Luckily, it was slow.

“Mewtwo, hit it with an aura sphere!”

Closing its eyes, the creature lifted its other arm and sent a pulse of red energy towards the monstrosity. The sphere glanced off the side of the giant rocky behemoth, and I could see a strange juice coming out of its mouth. Was it chewing on something?

Before I could figure it out, the thing was back on its feet and charging towards Mewtwo. When it arrived, it slammed down with all its body weight. The dust cleared – and revealed my prized weapon, my crowning achievement, crumpled in a pile on the floor.

“No!” I shouted, but it was hopeless.

“Got anything stronger?” taunted the man.

I dropped to my knees. I was defeated. None of my other Pokemon had the will to fight.

“I’ll be taking that, then!”

Jogging over theatrically, the man snatched the ultra ball from my belt and used it to recall the slumped Mewtwo.

“Later, loser,” he muttered as he walked back the way he had come. Everything I’d planned in such a short time had crumbled like ash around me. The last two years, all that work and preparation, gone in a heartbeat. Ripped away from me by some nobody with a goofy haircut.

I wasn’t usually one to show emotion, that was true. But I couldn’t help myself. Knees sunk into the mud of the cave, having just lost all of my hard work, for the first time in ages, I began to….

Laugh.

“Now this,” I said, feeling more alive than I had in my entire life, “this is a challenge.

Announcer: ”Here we are ladies and gentlemen! The calm before the storm as we await for our two finalists to send out their finale Pokemon! Only one will be able to claim the title of the Unova Pokemon champion!”

Strife and Niha’s eyes both make contact. Since the very beginning of their journey together, they knew it would end this way. Both with a relentless resolve to be better than the other.

Strife: “It's time, let’s go Tenebrae!”

Tenebrae the Umbreon runs onto the field with a battle ready stance as he awaits his opponent.

Niha smiles and points forward towards the field.

Niha: “Go Sylphie!”

Sylphie the Sylveon bounces onto the field to stand opposed to Tenebrae. There's a silence in the crowd, Niha and Strife’s gazes stay focused on one another unbroken. Tenebrae and Sylphie both stand battle ready, their forms unwavering. The battle judge makes his way to the center of the field with flags in hand.

Battle Judge: Now the final battle between Strife and Umbreon of Iccuris City versus Niha and Sylveon of Nimbasa City. The winner will be awarded the Title of the Unova Pokemon League Champion!

Strife for a brief second starts to feel an uneasy feeling build up in his stomach. He breaks his gaze with Niha to lay his eyes on Tenebrae. As always Tenebrae looks calm.. determined… fierce. They’ve spent countless… days... months.. training for this very moment, all the battles… the wins and the loses.. Have all lead them here, no matter the outcome of this battle, there's no doubt that this will make their bond stronger. Strife feels an overwhelming surge of excitement and determination.

Strife: (I won't let you down Tenebrae! Lets win this!)

The Battle Judge raises the green flag in his right hand as he glances at both trainers.

Battle Judge: “Battle!.... Begin!”

The Battle Judge then lowers the green flag to signify the start of the battle.

Niha quickly looks at Sylphie, who is awaiting orders.

Niha: “Sylphie, use quick attack!”

Sylphie breaks into a lightning quick dash towards Tenebrae.

Strife: “Tenebrae match Sylphie’s quick attack with your own!”

Tenebrae’s energy envelops his body in a white aura, he then bolts to meet Sylphie head on.  Sylphie and Tenebrae both reach each other in the center of the field to clash head to head in a powerful standstill that sends out a ripple of energy, a gust of wind sends dust into the air reaching some spectators in the stands.

Tenebrae and Sylphie stay locked both using their heads to overpower the other.

Strife: (Evenly matched.. Ofcourse, well, time to change it up a bit.)

Strife clenches his right fist forward and raises it towards his chest.

Strife: “Tenebrae, knockoff Sylphie and use Iron Tail!”

Tenebrae moves his head to the right then quickly to the left causing Sylphie’s balance to shift knocking her off balance. Tenebrae then performs a rapid clockwise spin using all his force to whip his tail towards Sylphie hitting her directly on the head leaving her dazed.

Sylphie slides backwards from the force of the blow with her eyes closed shaking her head gently.

Niha: “Oh no, Sylphie! Are you ok?!”

Sylphie opens her eyes and looks at Niha, Sylphie nods her head and smiles to reassure Niha. Niha takes a sigh of relief and returns a smile to Sylphie.

Niha: “Now, Sylphie use swift attack!”

Sylphie fires a flurry of star shaped rays at Tenebrae.

Strife: “Tenebrae, dodge the attack and move in for another Iron tail!”

Tenebrae leaps forward to dodge Sylphie’s barrage of attacks while closing in the distance. Tenebrae’s tail starts to glow as he is ready to strike another decisive blow.

Niha: “Now Sylphie, use moonblast!”

Sylphie quickly unleashes a powerful vibrant blast from her mouth striking Tenebrae directly.

Strife: “Tenebrae!”

Tenebrae is launched away and hits the ground.

Announcer: “What a powerful attack! Looks like Niha and Sylveon know how to pack a punch!”

The crowd cheers in excitement.

Strife: “Tenebrae, are you ok?!”

Tenebrae slowly stands now sporting a fair amount of battle damage.

The Announcer: “Amazing! After taking a super effect attack from Sylveon, Umbreon still has some fight left in him! Let's hear it for these young trainers and their amazing pokemon!”

The crowd erupts in an even louder roar than before.

Strife: (Tenebrae can't take another attack like that, better play it safe)

Strife: “Tenebrae use Dark Pulse!”

Tenebrae’s eyes start to glow red as he fires a black and purple blast from his mouth.

Niha: “Sylphie dodge it!”

Sylphie jumps to the side easily dodging the attack.

Strife: “Keep ‘em coming Tenebrae!”

Tenebrae continues to fire rapid bursts of energy.

Niha: “Keep dodging Sylphie!”

As the battle raged on Strife’s mind began to be flooded with memories of the past.

It was just after he and Tenebrae emerged victorious from their semi final match, as they descended into the dark, peaceful hallway leaving the bright, rowdy stadium doors behind them, Strife’s eyes adjusted to the dim lightning of the hallway. He sees a silhouette that is revealed to be Niha with Sylphie.

Niha: “ Good job out there!”

Niha smiles and positions her body in a cheerful and proud pose.

Strife replies with a smile and light chuckle as he looks into her eyes.

Strife: (She's nervous..)

Strife was taken aback, it was a foreign thing to see a crack in Niha’s armor.

Niha walks past Strife and faces the doors to the arena with her back towards Strife’s.

Niha: “If i win my next match.. That means we’ll be facing each other in the finals..”

Strife: “Would you rather have it any other way?”

They turn to face each other, Niha has a serious look on her face.

Niha: “This is it! One of us is going to be the loser..”

Strife: “Yeah, Thats usually how these things go.”

Strife gives Niha a cheeky smile

Niha:  “I don't want to see you lose.. But yet.. I don't want to lose to you.”

Announcer: “Will our next participants please meet on the field!”

Strife: “All i’ll say is this.. I better see you in the finals! Make sure you and Sylphie bring your A game!”

Strife holds his hand up, Niha smiles and they shake.

Niha: “Gotcha!”

As Niha and Slyphie run out of the stadium hallway, Strife feels a wave of dread overcome him.

Strife: “Only one winner.. Let's make it a battle to remember!”

Sylphie continues to dodge Tenebrae’s attacks until she is overwhelmed and one of the attacks hit her. Sylphie closes her eyes in anticipation for another attack.

Strife: “Nows our chance! Tenebrae use quick attack!”

Tenebrae springs into action, his gleaming red eyes leaving a crimson trail behind him. Sylphie opens her eyes only to be met with Tenebrae’s quick attack.

Niha: “Sylphie use moonblast!”

Before Tenebrae’s attack makes contact, Sylphie fires off another moonblast hitting Tenebrae. There is an explosion, dust enters the air obscuring everyone’s view. As the dust thins there are two silhouettes that reveal themselves. Tenebrae and Sylphie are both standing, both appear to be tired. Tenebrae’s legs are shaking, he can barely hold himself up.

Strife: “Tenebrae…”

Strife is pained to see Tenebrae in such a state but before he is able to say anything he sees Niha and Sylphie preparing for their next attack.

Niha: “Sylphie! Finish this battle with Hyperbeam!”

Sylphie explodes with power sending a ferocious orange beam of light towards Tenebrae.

Strife” Tenebrae! Answer back with Hyperbeam!”

Tenebrae fires off a Hyperbeam of his own.

The beams quickly clash resulting in another explosion, this one destroying a portion of the field. Everyone including Strife and Niha shield their face to attempt to make out the outcome of the clash. As the dust and smoke clear, once again Tenebrae and Sylphie are left standing. But shortly after Tenebrae’s eyes lose their crimson glow, he falls.

Strife: “Tenebrae!”

Strife and Niha both run on to the field to comfort their pokemon.

The battle judge makes his way to the field and announces the winner.

Battle Judge: “Umbreon is no longer able to battle! The victory goes to Sylveon and Niha!”

The announcement is followed with cheers and applause from the crowd.

Strife makes his way to Tenebrae and picks him up, holding him in his arms. Niha and Sylphie start to rush over to meet Strife and Tenebrae.

Strife: “I'm so proud of you buddy! That was a great fight!”

As Strife looked upon Tenebrae he could feel a lingering feeling of sadness swell within. He looks around, seeing the ruined field, the cheering stadium filled with people, and his best friend Niha running towards him. At that very moment his sadness turned to joy, he was happy he was able to make it this far in his journey, he was happy that his Pokemon fought so hard for him. He was happy of the bonds he shares with his friends and Pokemon.

Dark Present

"I'll bring you another one," said the black-haired boy. This time he is young, you must be tired of old and low energy souls. The boy went down the stairs and left.

Lampent did not understand why that human was helping him, Maik appeared 2 years ago and since then he brings a human every week so that Lampent and his friends feed. There was also something special, when Lampent wanted to feed on his soul, it was impossible for him, as if Maik did not have a soul.

Lampent and the Litwicks surrounded the boy Maik brought to them, pinning him in terror. When they finished the boy fell to the ground, he was breathing but he seemed dead, the ghosts withdrew from the place and Maik went in to collect the body and take it to the basement like everyone else.

Although he looked like a strange boy, Lampent liked him, since Lampent used to be a great Litwick who traveled by teselia winning matches with his trainer N, but N got a Litwick Shiny so he abandoned his partner without caring about the feelings of that pokemon.

Litwick was very naive, he waited a long time for his coach thinking he would return, but Maik came and told him the truth, his former coach abandoned him, Litwick had known for a long time but did not want to accept it. That day he swore that he would not rest until he was a powerful Chandelure.

-Lampent can you come a moment said Maik.
They descended the stairs into a hallway so dark that nothing could be seen.
-You could use Will-o-wisp. 3 blue lights came on that lit up the entire hallway.
Lampen looked at several doors in the hall, it looked like a maze.
They went to a door where Maik said today we completed 2 years of knowing each other.

Inside the door was a box, he opened it and took out a stone that was as black as darkness itself, one DARK STONE.

Praising Piloswine: The Religion

IGN: Akshit

Words: 666

The story starts a bit before my discovery of PokeMMO....

My first ever shiny in life was a shiny swinub in Pokemon Crystal.
Even though I was a young one back then, with an army cut unaware of the glorius hair potential I had... It was love at first sight the moment swinub evolved into Piloswine.
My Piloswine was amazing, I overleved him a lot and did most my story run just using him. But then I was done with the game and moved on with life..

Years later, PokeMMO came into my life... the best MMO pokemon game I ever came across.
I played the game solely for fun & helping others with no intention of hunting a shiny Piloswine back then (it wasn't available in the game either).

I had nothing to prove to anyone and game was just a place to chill, but 1000+ hours into the game I found my first shiny, and it felt really good. So I figured I'll do as many wild encounters I can and find more OT shiny. I got lucky few 100 hours later and found another one in Hoenn... But then a drought came....

Months and years went by with no shiny in sight...

Then in 2017 Unova got added into the game, and that's when it happenned... I was carelessly going through Giant Chams hordes, leveling up stuff, when I saw one, A Shiny Piloswine!
And all that childish love I had for Shiny Piloswine flooded back in. The nostalgia + the similarity it had with my own irl afro now just made me snap. I lost all grip on sanity and my goals in the game changed. Even though I was the one who caught it, Shiny Piloswine was the one who owned me.

It was caught early morniing, exactly 2 years later from my last shiny!
anWYkti.png (498×309)5mf5X2S.png (498×309)

The timing of it showing up in my life was truly a sign from AFRO Gods. Even though I've been an atheist most my life, I suddenly believed again.
I knew I had to spread word of this glorius afro lookalike pokemon. Let the masses know how awesome his yellow shine is!
And the best way to do that, was to lead by example.... And so it began, I would spend days at Giant Chasm hunting for more.

While the hunt went on, I leveled countless pokemons for myself and other players.
Being an avid believer of karma, nothing could be more perfect for me, the more I helped players leveling their pokemons, more Shiny Piloswines I kept finding.
My dedication to the hunt was absolute, instead of buying leppa berries, I traveled through the cave endless times, destroying everything in path, necessary sacrifices to the lord.
The hunt was the only thing that mattered. I had to do everything in power to get as many of those beautiful glowing cushion pokemons I could... Even found a shiny clefairy by chance instead one time.

But eventually I knew I had to do more than just catch Shiny Piloswines on my own. I had to spread his glory to other players in the game.
Along the way, I found few fellow devotees. Even though they were not extremists like me, they all did their part in finding and accepting the Pilo God in their life.
I even made an account called Piloswine with IGN Piloswine to hunt Piloswine and found a Shiny Piloswine on it within 2 days! More signs that the AFRO gods were looking out for me.
(P.S. If someone wants an OT Piloswine Piloswine, hit me up anytime!)

Hunt for Piloswine is still on, I still believe in his beauty and power.
Even though I spend lots of time hunting and catching other stuff too but every now and then I hear Giant Chasm calling me... And I answer the call, always!
So this story isn't over yet, and will go on till the end of my life.
All Hail Piloswine... The one true God!

I still remember its cries. I hear them when I go to sleep. I hear them when I am awake. There’s no escaping them. They’re always here, constantly ringing in the back of my head, a reminder of my failure, of my sins. I’ve tried to drown them out, alcohol seemed to work in the beginning, but the next day I’d wake up with my head pounding and that bloody cry still haunting me. The drugs didn’t work either. The doctor told me they would help, but I still hear the cries. I’m-I’m sorry, this might sound a little odd to you. I should explain.

Whismur’s have always been an odd curiosity of mine. Normally, their voices are nothing but a whisper, barely even audible unless you were paying close attention. I appreciated that fact, Rustboro was already such a loud town, that I often found I needed to find a reprieve. As it would happen, Rusturf Tunnels provided such an opportune location. I would spend hours and hours on end just sitting in the tunnels, listening carefully to the hush voices of the Whismurs.

It didn’t take long for me to realise that my fascination with them, was not a one-way street, as I noticed one particularly curious Whismur watching me. I know it might sound a little crazy, but each day I found myself returning to the tunnels, and I swear that the same Whismur would approach me, and just whisper. I’ve never been a particular fan of Pokemon, and I had no verifiable way of discerning one Whismur from another, but I could swear to you, that this was the same Whismur. I lost track of the hours I spent, just sitting in those tunnels quietly listening to the silence. The Whismur listened at my side. It understood, understood the importance of silence, and it was through this mutual understanding that we formed a bond, a kinship.

The cries still haunt me, even now as I try tell my story, I still hear it echoing through my head like I am still back in the tunnels. That day had been a particularly stressful one. I needed to escape the chaos of the city, so I did what I always did, I paid a visit the Whismur and the tunnel. I don’t know what it was, perhaps I felt more daring, or I just wanted to escape further away from the city, but for whatever reason, I decided to go deeper into the tunnel. Whismur hopped by my side, and in silence we dove deeper and deeper into the Rusturf Tunnels.

It was a rather pleasant walk at first. Quiet, with just the faint sound of whispers and the gentle thud of Whismur’s tiny feet as we went deeper. I don’t know how much of the Rusturf Tunnels you’ve visited, but it can become quite difficult see amongst the fog. I should have been paying more attention to where we were going. I should have kept a closer eye on Whismur. But, before I could see anything was out of place, I heard it. The ear-splitting cries shrieked across the tunnels. It’s hard to describe to you how loud this cry was, the tunnel shook violently, I felt the floor give away beneath me and felt the heavy impacts of boulders being dislodged. I immediately turned to check on Whismur but it was gone. But the shrieking, the shrieking was louder than anything I’ve ever experienced. I tried covering my ears with the palm of my hands, but it did nothing to obstruct the sheer horror of its cries. I called out for Whismur, but my voice was drowned out by the ungodly screeching that shook the tunnels. That’s when I found it. Whismur must have fallen into a crevice and cried out in panic. And, in its panic caused the tunnel to cave in.  It was still alive when I reach it. Bloodied, half buried, but alive. I’m not a trainer, I didn’t have any potions or medicine on me to save Whismur, so I did the only thing I could. I ran. I ran faster than I thought possible, desperate to find someone, anyone who could help.

It must have taken me over an hour to fetch Nurse Joy, and as soon as I stepped back into the tunnels, I heard the agonising shrieking. But she didn’t. Nurse Joy looked at me with such puzzlement, whilst I fell to my knees, covering my ears from the cries. In my incoherence I must have muttered an apology and got up, because the next thing I can remember I was staggering back towards where I had left Whismur. The nurse following behind, seemingly unbothered. As we got closer and closer, the cries got louder and louder. But I had to help it, I had to help Whismur. I had left it before, but I wouldn’t leave it again. Nurse Joy was clearly more concerned about my well-being, but I insisted we continue. It felt like an eternity had passed, the shrieking having weighed down upon me both mentally and physically until we found the spot I had left it. But Whismur was gone. I don’t mean it had passed away. It was gone. There was no sign of it, just a few boulders, and the cry, the bloody cry that still bombarded my very existence. Nurse Joy made a show of investigating the area, but I could tell she no longer believed me, seeing me as nothing more than a poor soul in need of psychological assistance. We never did find Whismur. We searched for hours, but we didn’t so much as find a blood stain.

The shrieking hasn’t stopped though, even when I had returned to Rustboro and the sound of the bustling city filled me ears, I could still hear the cries. I don’t know why I can still hear the shrieking, perhaps its my punishment for abandoning Whismur, or perhaps I really have gone crazy. It won’t stop though. I can’t get a reprieve. I’m-I’m going to get a drink, I need drown out the cries for at least a little while.

Striaton City, Unova's first Gym's location, where Trainers earn their first Badge of Unova League by battling the Trio Leaders, nothing much of any deep impressions from there to me, but for one single place: located nearby and also the most crowded place to the upper left side of the city, yes, as you might already picture, the Daycare center – it all begins there, where our destiny crossed.

In PokeMMO, this is one of the most commonplaces for you to meet all kinds of Trainers, whether it's a fighter, a farmer, catcher, etc... And mostly, breeders. That day, I was one of them, started up my breeding process steps by steps with the useful help from the Breeding guide, you may wonder what's the lucky Pokemon I was breeding then, have some patience, because... I didn't remember myself, it took me so many tries to get the hang of it and when I finally did, it didn't cost me a second to choose my first competitive breeding subject, the pokemon I've been loving the most: Togekiss.

Why Togekiss over many other promising choices for PVP? His cute appearance? Well, that's just a small part of the main reason: he's the perfect fit for my PVP team, be it single or double format, his move pool is too vast and useful in so many roles you're lacking, be it a special sweeper, a semi-tanker both in physically and specially, or a super annoying supporter in the double format, he always finds a suitable and valuable place if you give him a chance to shine. With all that bright future in mind, a real serious breeding project started.

Making a 5x31 natured Comp will normally cost one a 5x31 Male Breeders and a natured 4x31 Female Comp, we all know that. The Breeder part was just simply buying or farming for enough amount of 1x31 Breeders and with 15 times breeding each pair of component parents, you will have one 5x31 Male Breeder ready. But that was not the most painful part of my breeding project: I still have to make a 4x31 Comp Female Togetic ready for the final breeding process. Thing is, all the female line must produce a Togetic so it's breed-able, not Togekiss, and of course, not Togepi, see the problem now? Yes, it's happiness evolution, when a female Togepi came out, I had to pamper her with love, mostly through berries, so she would be happy enough to evolve into Togetic for the next breeding process, and all that was repeated 5 times for the 4x31 Female Togetic to come out and became 5x31 comp Male Togekiss later through the final breeding process.

Pyu - literally Pure Wings - was the nickname he was named after, so whenever I see him entering the battlefield, I can feel extremely relaxing just by calling him so. A year has passed since we first met, our bond has become so close that he has developed two different secret techniques into his arsenal: the Crit Slash and the Flinch Slash. Competitively, he's been with me, through lots of unthinkable- to-overcome situations, namely: Withstanding the +2 Atk Rayquaza's Dragon Claw and Crit Slash back to K.O him, also K.O an unstoppable sweeping streak of Quilver Danced Volcarona with just that. For the Flinch Slash record, he easily landed a streak of 6s to bring down the famous double-wall Cofagrigus cleanly, and most notably, a never-ending flinch streaks to cripple opposing Chansey down to her red HP range, though unluckily, she managed to Soft Boiled and heal back as nothing had ever happened. And on top of that, his bulk was reliable for the title MVP of the team during most of my battles in Battle Tower, when his teammates were all down, he managed to survive a series of Rock Slides from the fearsome opposing Rhyperior, until she had no PPs left and Struggle till fainted, thus honorably won the Lvl. 100 Victory Ribbon for every member of the team.

"Legend in the making", that will always be the motto representing the unbreakable bond and burning fighting spirit when I and Pyu enter the battlefield. Together, we'll rise to the top, becoming the very best like no one ever was, after all, that's the challenging but honorable path chosen for us, including I, him, and you all when we decided to set our first step into the world of Pokemon, no?

"Falling Rain"

It's been three years to the day since mother died. Nothing has quite been the same, and even my Pokemon can't fill the gaping hole she left in my life.

I hate to admit it, but I've started to neglect my Pokemon - I only want to be alone, so that I don't experience more grief and loss. One particularly gloomy and rainy day, I felt so terrible - I had been keeping my old friends inside their prisons all this time. After thinking for a while, listening to the rain patter loudly against my window, I got up and stepped outside. I was immediately drenched and started shivering, but I didn't care. I clutched the Pokeballs in my hand one last time and threw them into the air, freeing my old friends. They looked at me sadly, but understanding. They needed to be free. I didn't even say farewell, but turned around and walked back into my house. I shut the door and slumped against it, but couldn't even bring myself to cry...

After a few minutes, I knew I made the wrong decision. If I felt alone before, now I was truly by myself. I opened the door expecting to see my Pokemon, or my old Pokemon now, waiting for me to let them back in... but none of them were there. I should have known better. I walked back inside, changed into some warm clothes and got back in bed and closed my eyes...

The rain was relentless for the rest of the day. It assaulted all sides of our house, a symphony of drumrolls, announcing the grey skies. A few hours of ruminating my decision passed when I heard a loud thumping on the door. I sat up, wondering who it could possibly be now that everyone in my life had gone. I figured it must have been the rain and laid back down...

THUD THUD THUD

I couldn't ignore it now. I got up and went to the door. For some reason when I put my hand on the door knob, it all became real. I got anxious, started trembling. I took a deep breath and turned the knob and opened the door, peering out to see what awaited me.

My Pokemon were all standing there, looking quite happy, despite being drenched and cold. They stepped aside and let a Yamask float up to me eerily. Strange - I never had a Yamask, nor have I ever seen one. Luckily my old PokeDex, given to me by Professor Juniper, was sitting on an end table nearby. I grabbed it and held it up to the Yamask, and heard its characteristic voice,

"Yamask. The Spirit Pokemon. Each of them carries a mask that used to be its face when it was human. Sometimes they look at it and cry."

I looked over my PokeDex and saw it was true. The Yamask looked down, longingly at its mask - as if to try and bring back what it had lost, but quietly knowing it would never be true. It shed a single tear...

"...Mother?" I asked.

I burst into tears immediately, like a dam breaking, letting free its pent up flow. Our tears were louder than the rain, crashing around our reunion.

The Legend of Perceval Locke

Once upon a  time, in the Kingdom of Kanto, a noble knight with pure heart named Perceval Locke, was in quest of the Holy Graal.

My name is Brigit, Mother of gods and Guide whose purpose is to help Perceval in his great fate as prescribed by the gods. To do so, he must become the greatest pokemon trainer. Perceval finally had to stop contemplating the stars to begin his journey from Pallet town to the Graal.

 - Hey, Brigit.

 - …

 - Hey Brigit!

 - What? I said as I appeared to him, already annoyed.

 - Huh... I think I'm lost.

- *sigh*

As introduced, you might think that Perceval is a smart and courageous knight. But he is not. Far from that I would say. He is a zero! He cannot write or read. He cannot seem capable of understanding the concept of right and left as well as north and south. Please guide him, they say. Well go ahead and give it a try. I tried everything! Well, I did not want to get mad again but you know, sometimes.

 - Well, what?

 - Yes, you are lost obviously. I told you to walk to the south after Cerulean City and you are going north since then.

- This bullshit north and south gotta stop! Once and for all, the north, according to what we look at, changes it all!

- How many times I have to tell you that the north is always in the same direction! What you look at does not change anything!! I said, frustrated.

- Yeah well, still, you told me to walk along the river then turn right. It's what I did. He told me, satisfied.

- No. You actually turned left.

- ....

- With such capacities for orienting yourself, I would love to know how you manage not to get lost for good before you met me.

- Easy! I followed the others.

- The others? I found you alone in the periphery of Pallet town.

- Periphery... you mean peremptory?

- Peremp...what?

- Peremptory. It's when axis cross.

- No, okay... I meant you were alone around the frontier of Pallet Town.

See Perceval is a bit naive and has a problem with vocabulary and orientation but he tries his best. I guess.

- No but I didn't stay long there. Villagers were weirdos, they were afraid of walking in the grass, never understood why.

- Well, maybe they did not have a pokemon and were hence afraid of encountering one in the swarming grass areas.

- It ain't wrong.

As he finished his sentence an Ivysaur went out one of his pokeballs.

- IVY!

- ...Wh-what... do you mean 'it ain't wrong’? I asked, trying to ignore the pokemon.

- Well, it's ain't wrong.

- IVY!

- What is up with your pokemon?

- My what?

- Your pokemon.

- What's that?

- I swear to the Graal... And that, what is it huh?!

- This? My dog, why?

- Your dog. You are kidding my face.

- Oh, I wouldn't! The other day, I was heading to the market, to buy some bread, and there I met an old man...

- Oh no you are NOT going to tell me another of your bullshit story with you old men.

Perceval loves to tell stories including old men. He says they bring some mystery. However, it turns out most of his stories are made up.

- No but I swear, this time it's true!

- Hmm-hmm, I added suspiciously.

- He was a proper one, with the white coat and all!

- Go on.

- Well, he began to tell me so many things about sorta magic creatures I didn't understand. He is doing his little speech and gave me a red and white ball. Then he left. Since that moment when I say 'Ain't wrong'...

- IVY!

- See? First it used to scare the hell out of me.

- Anyway, this old man, he sounds like an important man. If he entrusted you with this....dog, he must have had a good reason.

- If you want my opinion he wasn't the brightest wheel in the box.

- He was not the brightest bulb in the box you mean.

- Yeah maybe but when he said to train anemones to come on the champion I thought that someone went a lil' too hard on the energy powder! He laughed.

Thus, notwithstanding numerous attempts to clarify his speech, we arrived in Vermilion City, where our hero will face Lieutenant Surge, the leader of…

- What's that? I won't face anybody.

- Okay so a) do not cut me while I narrate it is going to trigger me very badly and b) how do you want to become the greatest trainer if you do not fight the gym leaders?

- Wow.

- What?

- I didn't get a  thing.

- *sigh*

…….

- Anyway, how did you get here without badges?

- I have plenty! Hey Dummy!

- ...

- Hey! Hum.. what's his name already?

- What’s whose name?

- My dog.

- ... Ivysaur.

- Hey, Ivysaur! Get out here!

- ...

- No idea why he wouldn't get out. But I swear he has plenty of those weird stones.

- The badges? Plenty of them?

- Yeah well, three or four.

- How could you have three or four badges since we are heading to the third one?

- You know you shouldn't ask me. Say, the huuuh...

- Badges?

- Yeah, are they valuable?

- You bet! They are the lawful proof of your victory against a renowned gym leader required to access the prestigious Pokemon League! On top of that,  it is a glowing salary considering the painstaking craftsmanship necessary to their production!

- Yeah it ain't wrong!

-IVY!

- Oh there he is!

-*facepalm*

- Come on, show your stones to Brigit.

- 'SAUR... as he spat two badges, a rock and a crunched bone.

- Here you have your badges!

- I… see... as I was separating the badges from the slimy rest. So we have the Cerulean City badge, the Pewter City badge and the rest is crap.

- Okay, so is that good?

- Good well, it is a start. I still have no idea how you managed to get them but anyway...

Suddenly, a yelling sounded louder and louder as if it was getting closer.

- haaaaaaHAAAAAAAAAAH!! WHAT'S THAT? AUTHENTIC GYM BADGES?!

- Who's that guy?

- WITH WHAT SOUNDS TO ME AS A YOUNG TRAINER IN QUEST FOR A CHALLENGE!!

- Who? Me? Perceval asked me, frightened.

I shrugged my shoulders, surprised as he was.

- VERY WELL THEN!! THE POKEMON LEAGUE ORDERED ME TO WAIT FOR CHALLENGERS TO COME TO ME BUT IT IS NOT THE WAY YOU WIN A WAR, ...

- War?? A challenger, me? Brigit what's this joker talking about?!

- ...THAT'S FOR SURE!! HENCE, YOUR CONVERSATION HEARD, I...

- Well...

- ...LIEUTENANT SURGE, GYM LEADER OF VERMILION CITY, MUST TAKE UP YOUR CHALLENGE!

- Huh?!

- RAICHU, GO!

- Raaaaaichu!

- What's that yellow mouse? It can even talk! See that Brigit? He can't seriously think he can impress me with that. He laughed.

- Raichu-chu, Chu Raichuuu! Growled the pokemon like its feelings have been hurt.

- Yeah it ain't wrong.

- IVY!

- RAICHU USE THUNDER!!

- Thunder? God we gotta run!

- Perceval are you insane? You cannot possibly quit a battle like this! Especially against a Gym Leader!

- Yeah right! I'll stay and get struck by thunder! Sure thing! Thank you but no thanks, bye! He shouted as he ran away.

- ...

- RAICHU MY FRIEND… YOU FOUGHT WELL, COME BACK!

- Wait what? Ivysaur...won?

- YOU'RE TOUGH YOUNG TRAINER!!

- To whom is he talking? Perceval just left and he cannot see me as I only appear to Perceval's eyes.

- HOWEVER... WILL YOU BEAT... MAAAGNEEETOOON GOO!!

- IVY! as Ivysaur savagely went down on the barely summoned Magneton.

- Holy... could it be...

- MA...GNETON *bzz* *bzz*

- MAGNETON, THUNDER WAVE!!

- He dodged!

- IVYSAUR! *metallic noise* as he frantically continue to double-edge the magneton.

- Critical Hit??

Some four minutes later.

- I WAS DEFEATED... CONGRATULATIONS YOUNG TRAINER.

- No kidding, I thought the sunglasses were a style touch but he might actually be totally blind.

- HERE IS YOUR REWARD: THE THUNDER BADGE! USE IT CAREFULLY!

He ran away.

- IVY!

- Hey, so?

As I turned back I saw Perceval, hidden in a bush.

- So what?

- So, was there any storm?

- For gods' sake...

- IVY! as he tried to engage in playing tag.

What I witnessed utterly astonished me. First, I am starting to think that Perceval never actually fight any trainer. Then, according to his soulless and void gaze, I assumed Ivysaur was completely brainless. But he appeared very strong during his fight.

Finally, Perceval and Ivysaur are complementary: they are tremendously lucky! I mean Perceval has got his three first badges and he has not even looked for them! And that Ivysaur did a LOT of critical hits and avoided numerous attacks. I think they might be blessed by the gods or something. Ivysaur might have been blessed with the Power of the Haxx or is it simply the love he feels for Perceval that makes him unbeatable? Hmm this could explain the sparks in his eyes when he looks at his trainer. It feels like those two knew each other since always. Now, I know, I have to keep an eye on them.

Thank you for reading :) This story was inspired both by my NuzLocke on Pokemmo and a famous French TV show, Kaamelott, of which I am a big fan.

Three years ago, I started my adventure as a trainer into the world of PokéMMO, a place where you can meet people from around THE WORLD, play with them and do many other things together.

When I initiated I didn’t know what to do first, so I searched for a team. My friend Megasaf, who introduced me into PokéMMO, recommended me to be in the same team as his and offered to join a team called “HolyWarriors”, but at that moment I declined his offer.

I wanted something different, so I joined a team name COIN. The people there was nice and helpful, but 3 days later I received a notification informing that the team was dismantling.

I was in disbelief, how the team I just joined 3 days ago could be disintegrating? I asked an executive (don’t remember his name at all) what happen and he said that the leader was bored and wanted to do something else with his life. Then he gave me a SemiCompetitive Magikarp, some apologies and later he left. I left the team too and then I went home to sleep a bit.

Later when I woke up Megasaff texted me asking if I still wanted to enter HolyWarriors and well… I accepted.

In the following days I made a lot of friends in LÁD (that was the tag name of the team), LAD was a super fun club to be in, it was like my second home. I met wonderful people in there like Varti, MegaBladers, Scribbern, Artemis and the leader Pechan. We talked a lot every day while I trained the Magikarp that executive gave to me.

Months passed since I joined LAD and October came like a lightning. At that time my Magikarp evolved into a Gyarados, I built a competitive team, I captured Rayquaza and Mewtwo, I got my Cloud Nest Hat and, finally, participate in a Team Tournament although we lost in the 1st round but we compromised to return someday.

In PokéMMO, the Admins announced that the Ferry to Unova was going to be inaugurated Soon ™ and we were excited to imagine how awesome the next region will be.

On the fifth day of October, I was talking with my friends about what Unova Pokémon would they catch first when suddenly I got a notification telling me that the Leader Pechan left the team. I couldn’t believe it, how this happened? I texted Pechan at her Rotom-Phone and she answered me the following:

“Artemis accused me of having spoken ill of her behind her back and I said that this is no true but she refused to hear me. Then she leaved the team but I told her that if you leave the team, it will be divided. So I joined her back and I left, for the sake of the team”.

I texted back Pechan saying it was the most stupid discussion I’ve ever seen, then I told her to meet with Artemis and clear things up.

Later, we, Pechan, Artemis and me, sit down to dialogue but nothing useful came of it. Artemis didn’t want to reason about it and finally, at 11 pm, she left the team forever.

Things didn’t get better in the following days, Pechan entered the team 5 days after what happened, only to found it in complete anarchy. When Unova came in December, many people emigrated from HolyWarriors to the new team Artemis created.

And then, several months later, almost nobody was in LAD, even my friend Megasaf went into that team.

Finally, I decided to leave, not without first leaving a letter to her saying how much I appreciate her as a friend and how much I appreciated the team I once considered as a home.

2 years later, I went to the Pokémon Center at Vermilion and entered the PC, checking box after box until I found a Gyarados in the last box of the PC, it was the Gyarados that evolved from that special Magikarp I received a long time ago. I noticed that she still didn’t have a name so I went to the name rater and named her like a very special friend of mine:

Peechan.

Togetic The LumberJack

Yesterday I was walking in the woods with my faithful togetic.  The day was cloudy, the air breezes swept our faces with soft caresses.  We entered the forest, but the night came, I was scared because it was a long way to go to camping.  So we decided to set up the tent right there.  When I opened my backpack I had lost my stakes and axe :(, it was already impossible to assemble the tent without those items, so we tried to call my brother to find us and there was no signal ... with my flashlight I illuminated an area of the  floor and we sat down to eat cereal bars, togetic disliked him so I gave him normal food.  20 minutes later we heard noises coming from the heart of the forest, Scared we were on guard in case it was a strong pokémon, And an ursaring appeared We tried to flee and we could not, so we had to fight, Minutes later, after many metronome and roosts, me and my togetic beat that bear, after that fight my togetic learned aerial ace, with that we were able to cut a fallen log for the tent, so we got stakes and the campfire :D, We set up the tent and slept until  Dawn to finally reach Pewter City.  Weeks have passed since that event, Togetic evolved into Togekiss with a Shiny stone and together we won the pokémon league, Soon we will go on a foray into the Unova region.

On September 21 when I started my adventure to the pokemon world I could only think about what was coming for me and the fighting friend that I wanted to have as a pokemon, when those waves of thoughts came I only imagined myself and Tyranitar was everything as I wanted Being a powerful and respected pokemon that does not depend on others, proud of its strength and brave when fighting, but as time passed of my adventure, at last my tyranitar I found a faithful and not so remarkably strong koffing accompanied me on my adventure always As the last one I had in mind as a partner, the moment that marked a before and after was the day that ended my days as a trainer on February 17, 2025, when I was in a cave where an endless number of pokemon abounded and by My selfishness I did not realize that at that moment my life was not only what was in danger but that of my colleagues, I found the band without morals and ethics, the rocket because they followed me and my yam i tyranitar fought with 3 of them my pokemon were totally out of combat and when i tried to escape i found the tunnel with exit it was just me tyranitar and koffing when thinking that i would finally get out 2 men from the team rocket kept me ready to hurt me and abandon me there forcibly removing my tyranitar, at that moment I was happy to know that tyranitar would finish them but when he put him into battle he looked at me with cold eyes as if he did not know me he hit me with his tail and knocked me out the next thing I saw is the Joining the team rocket at will and my koffing coming out of its poke ball by itself when they rushed me to take everything I was wearing koffing with a cry of "don't give up" use Explosion was gone .... And the space that I had from me to the rocket had put a great wall of rocks caused by the explosion. When I arrived at a hospital and woke up I realized that I had found the most precious thing I ever wanted and so I had lost it and since then I left my trainer times and now I only take care of abandoned Pokemon in my old home.

"Infernape's Determination!"

A little more. -A little more- I kept saying, waiting for my Infernape to get up. We managed to get to that point, the point where I, Playnerx, could become Sinnoh's Champion, where I could show everyone that I had overcome all my fears. Cynthia's Garchomp, still resistant, kept his eyes on Infernape, who was struggling to stand up, waiting to end that fateful combat.
"Infernape uses Flare Blitz!" I shouted.
But seeing the situation, I seemed to understand that nothing but the silence that filled the room was happening.
"Come on, Infernape! Get up!" I continued to shout, while my face began to show signs of perplexity. -We have faced many battles, this will not be the last-, I repeated to myself, bringing to my mind the memory of the first time we met, of his willpower and his stubbornness. . .
That was exactly how Chimchar seemed to me that day when, together with my friend Formiichina, we ventured into Eterna Forest. Suddenly, as we went into the woods, we heard a noise coming from the back of a tree, and curiously I tried to get closer. "Don't get too close, you don't even have a pokémon with you!" Formiichina yelled at me. "But you do!" I replied. From the tree, in an instant, a pokémon that looked like a moth, with yellow eyes propped up, and with green wings came out. "Stop!" screamed Formiichina. "It's a dustox!" She concluded. We watched the pokémon go towards us, and in a moment Formiichina freed Piplup on the field, ready for the battle. "Piplup, use Bubble Beam!" Formiichina exclaimed, while watery bubbles came out of Piplup's beak at great speed.
Dustox dodged the attack, and began to launch a toxic liquid on Piplup, which a few moments later found himself K.O. "Oh no, Piplup!" Formiichina exclaimed, while Dustox approached me threateningly. As soon as he started to repeat the same move on me, a small shape emerged from the bushes, a Chimchar, I tought, recognizing it from the tuft of fur creating the shape of a flame. But how could it be possible to found there, in Eterna Forest, a Chimchar, if Chimchars used to be nearby Valor Lakefront ?. As I asked myself these questions, Dustox stopped, and as soon as he looked away from me, Chimchar rotated in a whirlwind of fire straight to Dustox, knocking him out. "T-Thanks," I said, seeing a serious and determined look on his part. It was in that moment I realized nothing could stop us.
"Infernape! I know you can do it! I've always known!" I yelled, while Garchomp seemed to cheer over the apparent victory. "Let's finish Garchomp! Use Dragon Rush!" said Cynthia. Garchomp wrapped himself in an electric blue light, and prepared to slingshot on my Infernape. "Show me the strength and courage of our first meeting, Infernape!" I shouted puzzled, urging him on. Suddenly, Infernape seemed to get up and release, first quietly and then tangibly, a red fire, which was now taking on the bluish colors, heading furiously towards Garchomp. A moment, just a moment, then there was nothing but the impetus of an explosion that brought me and Cynthia to the ground. I shielded myself from the smoke with my hand, rising impatiently, already convinced that I hoped in vain for my victory. But as soon as the smoke dissolved, I saw him: Infernape, previously aching, was now illuminated by an immense fury, which had put him back on the ground. Garchomp, on the other hand, was completely K.O.
No sign, nothing at all for a few seconds except the realization that after so many battles an fights, I had won the war. And all thanks to Infernape.

What is a Skitty?

This baby Pokémon is pure annihilation with a tail and four legs. In addition to the ultimate angel of destruction and death baby, as long as his little mug is not stuck on the carpet.
The Skitty are one of the deadliest creatures in existence. Skilled in any form of murder and combat, except as snipers ... For obvious reasons ...
How pleasant was the surprise for these carnivores, when when they began to live with the easily manipulated humans, they realized that the creatures with the greatest facility to obtain resources were also the most stupid and quick to offer them. How easy it was to deceive the credulous hairless primates and convince them that instead of heralds of the end times, they really were the most tender, sweet, perfect and of the corresponding love ... awww ... idiots ...
With that unforgettable old pact, the Skitts not only infiltrated and dominated our homes, our hearts, and our wages, they also found a way to culminate their hedonistic tendencies without giving up their murderous instincts. Shelter, pampering, ridiculous nicknames, offerings and bondage in exchange for their usual spilling of blood, being beautiful, solemn and allowing themselves to caress their bellies very occasionally...
So, the next time you look directly at a Skitty, or raise your arm to launch your pokeball, remember that the moment it slides into the sphere, it will be YOU who will have been dominated, and who will inevitably obey all and every one of their whims ...

The strong power of the bonding

"Hi, grandpa! It's story time. Can you tell me the story about the pokemon trainer Daifang again?"

“That one? I’ve told you about it 99 times.”

“Come on! I want to listen it again!”

“Ahh, alright, alright.”

The story began in a rainy evening in Kanto. On the Two Island, Pokemon trainer Daifang was trying to find his spirit pokemon --- Slowpoke. He surfed on the sea, watched carefully to see if a slowpoke would appear. But no, nothing. He waited and waited, the wind began to blow heavier and heavier. It’s too dangerous to stay on the sea, so Daifang decided to go to the pokemon center to take rest. When he reached the shore, he heard a weak sound coming from the bush. He went straight there and saw a slowpoke laying there with blood coming from his tail. Daifang held him up and ran to the pokemon center. Thank to the Nurse Joy, she saved the slowpoke and it wasn’t a normal slowpoke. It’s a shiny! After few days the slowpoke recovered well and Daifang became friend with him. They decided to travel together.

Daifang was a player who really interested in competition. To reach 700 points on the OU ladder was his biggest dream. He trained the shiny slowpoke every day and night. The slowpoke always listened to Daifang and evolved to Slowking. “It’s time for us to challenge the ladder! Slowking! Are you ready?” “Awww——!” A bonding between Daifang and the Slowking has built and it was indestructible!

With experience and confidence, they easily reached 699.75 points! “Only one more wins! Slowking! Let’s go!!” 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, The match begins!!!

After many rounds of battling, Daifang only left with 100 %Slowking but the foe still had 2 pokemons —— 50% Ferronthorn and 87.5% Jolteon.

“Ahh….. You are the last hope! Slowking! Let’s do this!”

The foe’s Jolteon used thunderbolt!

“Let’s show them our bonding, Slowking! Please hold this!”

“AWWWW!!”

Slowking left with 19.2% HP.

“Good job! It’s time! Trick ROOM!!”

Slowking used Trick room!

“Slowking! Use psyshock!”

The Jolteon fall down, Slowking was hurt by the life orb.

The Ferronthorn was switched on.

“OH,no! I am sorry Slowking, I forget Ferrthorn is even slower than you. So he will attack first…”

The foe’s Ferrthorn used power whip!

“Oh,no…. It’s all over… I am so dum!!!!”

The Slowking avoided the attack!! Slowking used Foucs Blast!!! The Ferrthorn fell down!!

Slowking was hurt by the life orb.

Slowking fell down.

Your current ELO is now: 704.85(+5.10)

“OH!!!!! Slowking! You just created a …… Slowking? Are you alright?”

Slowking didn’t answer Daifang. He just lay there like when they first met. Daifang hugged Slowking with two lines of tear run down through his checks. “I’m sorry, Slowking. It’s all my fault….” Suddenly, Daifang raised his head with confidence in his eyes. “Bro, If I can save you once, I can do it again! Slowking, hold on, I will save you I promise!” He used all his power to hold the heavy slowking up and ran as fast as he can to the nearest pokemon center just like he did when they first met!

Serval weeks past and Slowking recovered. As soon as Slowking came back from Pokemon center, he and Daifang hugged together like two old friends didn’t meet for years. Thank to Slowking, thank to the bonding between he and Daifang. Daifang finally achieved his dream!!!

Here is a quote said by Daifang “You don’t know the power of the bonding between trainer and pokemons!” (Quote from Darth Varder, Star War)

“Alright, grandson, the story has ended. It’s time for you to go to bed.”

“Grandpa, one last question. What do you think Daifang is doing now?”

“Emm, probably waiting for his 1st pride of the Shauntal's Literature Challenge!”

The friend and the great rival

Life is not fair and I know both me and my coach, now we know what happened, it did not have to happen, for a moment I thought that I was very lucky. But I was wrong I still remember how it all started. I grew up like any other rattata. At first I was embarrassed because most Pokemon Trainers I was nothing more than a Pokemon which only served to help give experience to their Pokemon with the simple fact of taking me for the sole purpose of take data for their pokedex, and so once they had me they would forget about me and leave me locked up forever in a poke ball until one day you appeared. At that moment I came to think that this would be the worst day of my life I knew that I had no choice but to fight your Squirtle and I did it you defeated me without problems once I was lying on the ground you threw me a poke ball, I tried to resist but you captured me and once I was inside I could not do anything to escape because you took me to a pokemon center and heal me after you took me out and put me to train that I'm glad a lot, because it seemed that he valued me as a pokemon important in your team and that's how it was actually I felt very happy and lucky that finally a trainer values me as an important pokemon and that it could become very powerful as time passed you told me about your rival network and your great goal and beating him from that moment I understood how important that was to you, but time continues to pass and we beat some gyms as well as I met that such network even though we lost some battles we continued training or without you being discouraged and after so much training I managed to evolve in a raticate, as much as you and I were very happy I even came to believe that at the time it would be invincible and that we were close to achieving your goal a while later you managed to get us into A luxurious cruise, but just when everything seemed perfect, your rival appeared again, consequently, they both had a battle, you took me out of the poke ball, I took his chameleon, he looked very strong, but I did not care about what I faced without problems but it was not like that and I was very weakened so you decided to go back to my poke ball and go fast for your things and leave the cruise but before I could leave the cruise I set sail and you had no choice but to jump in order to take me to a pokemon center to heal me during all that journey I felt too weak from that moment I knew I was going to die and that was before I could take me to a pokemon center I died since you couldn't do anything you decided to take me to the lavender town once you went to the tower and there you left me from there I could see your sorrows even now I can see how you keep trying to achieve your goals now for me without letting yourself be discouraged by that network.

My story in the Pokemon world

"Mudkip, I have never thought of meeting you in such a scene for ten years. But since it was a bit ridiculous, I still feel that this is a destiny arrangement-even if I have nothing at all I do n’t want to see the fate, but now I have made you the first being I want to cherish in this life. Then, I am glad to be your partner, I am mentalsoft! "

This is the first time I have my own Pokémon. At this moment, I look forward to a full ten years. The initial Pokémon, the dream of the trainer, all supported me to leave the village, this desert. Now everything is ready.

After a final night of rest in the village, I formally embarked on a journey the next morning, intending to cross the desert to the outside world, and then collect badges to challenge the Pokemon Alliance. The journey through the desert was long and arduous, and from time to time I encountered a disgusting Trapinch, but the Mudkip protected me before the danger was lifted. One of the most thrilling moments, the Mudkip and I carefully crossed the territory of a Flygon.

My vision, which was almost dehydrated, began to blur once. At this time, a towering object appeared at the junction of distant heaven and earth. Mirage? I felt relaxed for a while, and being able to see the mirage indicated that I was about to get out of the desert and finally left this ghost place. Although it's true that this thing inspires me, but I still walk slowly and steadily as before, I have to say that I have the thought in my heart that I want to walk more powerfully. I walked to the front and found out that it was not a mirage at all, but a real building. A turquoise, run-down tower that looks very old.

s this the legendary Phantom Tower? I hesitated to go in and see. Just at the moment of hesitation, a huge black shadow shrouded my head. It turned out to be a Flygon. I did not hesitate to escape, but the other person was a Flygon. Follower, I must not be able to beat it in speed. When I was about to be hit by a dragon claw, I threw an elf ball directly into the Flygon. At this distance, the Flygon caught in the ball and caught it, but I did n’t think that the most ordinary elf ball could catch To the Flygon, I continued to escape without hesitation.

And not far before, sure enough, a shattering sound sounded and the Flygon came out! Apparently the Flygon was irritated, and the air flow from the flapping wings rushed towards my back. Looking at the Thirty Steps away from the Phantom Tower, I can immediately get rid of the danger. The elven balls were thrown back one by one by one by one. The elven balls were easily flashed by the Flygon that had eaten once, until all my elves. The balls are all consumed.

No, there is one, the one where my Mudkip live. And remembering its small body resolutely guarding me behind the a group of Trapinch , I vowed not to let it be in danger for the second time.

I will protect it even if I die!

  Definitely protect it!

Maybe the moment of disappointment is only because I can feel that the Flygon is not approaching much when I react. Turning around and greeting me was a recovered elven ball, catching it subconsciously, my eyes stared at the Mudkip protecting me behind me.

I found that I didn't have the courage to take it back, but immediately turned around and fled quickly.

  Oath, what a luxury I can't afford!

The chaos behind me told me that there must be a fight, but at this time I just wanted to hurry into the tower. finally reached. The portal of the Phantom Tower is not enough to let the huge body of the Desert Dragonfly pass, so I am basically safe. The most important thing is to quickly take back my Mudkip and treat him.

Facing the crisis brought by the Flygon this time, Mudkip is also very eager to help the owner. For it, a Flygon is far from scaring him.

It wasn't until many years later, after experiencing countless battles, that I realized how ridiculous my inner struggle was at this time. This is a different world. The support, trust and help between people and elves are the most important for trainers.

pachima

Apparently met at offline

"pachima has blacked out!"
Back then, I expected to hear that nostalgic pokécenter song, but all I got instead was a persisting darkness, that somehow would not disappear. I remember opening my eyes, unsure whether they were truly opened or not for darkness was all there was. It was like that for quite long, until my other senses sharpened and my ear caught something, albeit still too dim and too far. Suddenly, I felt the ground under my feet quaking frenzily and I would have fallen had I not hold myself. It was only after it came to a cease that I realized such had happened in the close past.
Indeed, I confirmed after a moment of reflection, that there was a similar earthquake, albeit not as strong, right before I lost my last Pokémon. Either way, I moved forward, realizing then intrigued that I could not move at all. Then I tried to talk.
“Good morning...!”
I jumped back startled upon the sudden sound that resembled that of nurse Joy´s. Fear began growing in me and, quivering, I searched and retrieved an ocarina from my bag, realizing in the process that half of my items were gone missing.
“pachima used Flash ocarina!”
“pachima...” a whisper sounded “There is a time and place...”
I waited, coking my head at the conclusion that would never come. It was odd that such a voice I had listened to so many times wouldn´t complete its sentence, just like Joy never finished hers just a while ago. Here, an heavy slam sounded far away, and I ran south, from where the thud seemed to come from. A few tiles on that direction, I was suddenly stopped, only briefly, while an opening door sounded. I went through it, still within absolute darkness, and when I did, it seemed to trigger the voice once again.
“System announcement – Proceeding with Bugfixes 1342”
There my eyes went wide upon realizing game had shut down for maintenance and somehow, I was stucked in there. Knowing so, I tried to logout...
“There is a time and place for everything, but not now!”
“What in hell” was what I thought, as I, then desperated, tried to get something useful from my bag. Unsuccessful, I used global chat and I tried to unstuck. And I waited, realizing soon enough that it did not work. I ran away, but then I could not even move. So I closed the client, only to stare in awe at the endless horizon as it would not respond.
Hopeless, I went afk in the dark, and I would stay there forever, had the voice not sounded again.
“System announcement – Trial 145 Fire and Ice Dungeon test commence”
“Dungeon?” I thought, remembering the memes that I often encountered in the forums or in global.
But before I could have processed it, there was a dizzy sensation, followed by a warping music. Then, darkness was no more, and I found myself in a familiar place. Ahead, there was a single cave, covered in ice. I was standing in a small square of frozen terrain, and behind me some similar stairs led to another square, albeit smaller. Oddly enough, the whole place was surrounded by magma, and although I could see steam in the air, the icy ground wouldn´t ever melt.
When I faced right, I found a pc, and when I turned left, I saw an elf staring at the lively magma forming boiling bubbles that would then pop in the air. It reminded me of North Pole, and it was obvious they had not even replaced that npc there yet. Either way, I logged into the pc, just to find it empty.
“System announcement – Testing floors”
Simultaneously, an heavy thud crashed nearby, and I noticed the door ahead opened. Having nowhere else to go, I entered it.
 “Pachirisu has joined pachima”
There, a waterfall of magma crashed loudly into a pool of steam that would soon fill the whole area with thicky fog. I stood on icy ground, but the surroundings were hot red. Then the door behind me closed, and the music changed. Ahead, I noticed two npcs unmoving as they stood. Next to me, I felt movement, and when I turned, I found a pachirisu following me. I opened its summary, but all I got was nothing.
Sighing, I walked in, avoiding the first npc, and towards the second. There I noticed, with a twisted face, a thin icy tile I had just shattered under my feet. But I proceeded nevertheless.
“Have you seen this maze?” a bubble chat grew above the npc when I talked to it “I heard you can´t do it alone. You need a partner to link with. But be careful, something dangerous lies ahead”
However, ahead only a big boulder stood, two tiles before a solid wall. I tried to push it from behind, but it wouldn´t even budge. Pachirisu then did the same, but it could not learn strength. Unable to move the rock, I went back to the npc.
“Did you try moving that boulder over there? It is no ordinary rock. When I used strength myself, it wouldn´t move!”
So I went back, to talk to the first npc, who was staring at the then shattered icy tile, and who I had ignored at first.
“What should I do? My partner just fell down there, but I´m too scared...”
Nothing else was around, so I decided to fall down there too, stepping over it again... The screen went black, only momentarily, before I found myself in a second maze, bigger than the one before, and filled with frozen tiles that would make me whirlwind around upon stepping on. Goomy scarlet lava dropped here and there, and I noticed the thick fog was no more. Next to me, it stood another npc, looking up.
“What is he waiting for to follow me?” it asked “Don´t tell me... did he get frightened?”
Suddenly, we were ambushed, and the screen faded in and out again. Soon a horde of Delibird was upon us, prompting pachirisu to dash into the battlefield and to discharge the christmas birds one by one, until they lied on the floor unmoving. Further, there was a second horde, and a third one after that, before I reached a dead end. Once there, I realized pachirisu had slowed down, and I waited for him to follow. It was low on health, and I could not find any healing item.
So, there I stayed, staring all around, noting soon after a bright spot glowing on the surface of the wall before me, which I then touched.
“This function is not yet implemented”
“You gotta be kidding me” I burst, realizing I was trapped inside an updating dungeon that wasn´t even fully tested yet.
However, even before I could consider turn around, there was an earthquake. Pachirisu struggled against it, so I picked it up, and it climbed to my shoulder. A crashing sound then came nearby, and the frozen wall collapsed, revealing a secret chamber within.
“Unexpected error. Proceeding with final test”
When I stepped in, a roar filled the whole room. A maze lied ahead, and further in, two stairs lead to a separated square of solid terrain. On one, stood Articuno, and Moltres raised on the other. Closer, I found icy tiles before the stairs, meaning I could only reach one of the birds.
Next to me, pachirisu trudged crestfallen, and for a second, it delivered to me its saddened narrowed eyes. I looked down too, understanding why, but I went for Moltres howsoever, shattering the icy tile behind me in the process. There, facing it, i touched it. An holy roar then reverberated through the room, and the battle began.
“A wild Moltres has appeared”
“pachima sent out pachirisu”
Yet, when the squirrel flashed into existence, it was already exhausted. I looked through my bag, but it was lacking in the healing department. Oddly enough, I was stocked with all sorts of Pokéball, and that was when a dreadful thought crossed my mind. If I attempted to catch Moltres, and if it failed, since I had no Master Ball, I would risk pachirisu´s life if Moltres attacked. Indeed I confirmed soon after, that such was into pachirisu´s mind too when I eyed it. Still, I rummaged within my bag, and after a while, not without doubt in my mind, I threw off a ball.
….
“pachima used smoke ball”
“pachima has fled the battle”
I kept pachirisu after that, and now that the client is updated, I don´t regret my choice. Dungeons are yet to come, but when they do, I will be sure to get that Moltres. However, I can guarantee no other pachirisu would share the same faithful encounter like the one I possess.

"Eye" want you to read this...

Mt. Chimney. Ugh. It was hot. It was arid. I was sweating from places I didn’t even realize had pores.

Fallarbor Town seems like a pleasant place. Some old man told me about a waterfall made by a meteorite. Might be interesting. I walk into the PokeCenter and rest for a minute. I down a lemonade and talk to Nurse Joy about life, lemons, and meteorites. She didn’t seem very interested, but I haven’t had human interaction that isn’t, “Rawr… go Pikachu go!” in a while… it was just nice to hear her voice even if she was just saying, “uh-huh, welcome to… yup… you’re all healed.”

As I walk out, I hear a faint cry from a distance. My ariados-sense tingles and I go running toward a house in the far distance. Inside I find a young child talking about digging and he gives me a worthless technical machine for you guessed it… dig. I glance past him and there’s a giant hole in the wall. I ask him what happened, but all he can talk about is dig. He must be in shock. I walk past and glance in the gaping hole in the wall. It smells dank… it looks dark. I’ve been in worse, like Cerulean Cave or Gary’s mom’s house. I crawl in…

Immediately I hear the cry of Pokemon all around. Loud screams, bizarre purrs, some even whimsical. I don’t recognize any of the sounds but I continue forward in the darkness. I call upon my Electabuzz to light the way with a much more useful hidden machine, Flash. The darkness illuminates and I see creatures scatter left and right. I continue walking forward out of sheer curiosity, somewhat scared I must admit. As we continue trudging onward, my Electabuzz, named Buzz Lightyear, suddenly screeches and lunges forward. In my fright, I fall to the ground and lose sight of what’s happening.

I find my footing and look up… there’s another Electabuzz staring at mine with a menacing glare. It’s eyes are dull and lifeless. It’s skin, or fur, or whatever it might be is darker and much more rich than my own Buzz Lightyear’s. Could it be? Could I have finally found a shiny Pokemon and one so rare?! I immediately call back my Buzz who is ready to knock the F*** off this opposing pocket monster. I send my Breloom who immediately uses Fake Out to stun the opposing shiny. It then lunges forward with False Swipe, incredibly more powerful it nearly kills the Electabuzz. I then call the Breloom back and throw an Ultra Ball. It inhales the Electabuzz and shakes not once, not twice, but three times before clasping shut in victory. Wow, I couldn’t believe it. A Shiny Electabuzz… oof! I’ll have to trade my own Buzz in the Global Trade Link now. Some extra coin never hurt, or maybe I should trade this new Shiny? It’s pretty rare. It could fetch a lot of money. Oh the decisions, but I can’t be so rash. Let’s just wait a while before making that call.

I decide to venture back to Nurse Joy. She’s still not much interested in me or my stories, so I decide to keep my recent catch a secret. Her loss to be honest. She probably would have just thrown herself at me. After healing and picking up supplies at the PokeMart, we make our way south toward those Meteorite Falls. Let’s just see what that old man was so excited about.

The clouds suddenly darken and the sun disappears. Oh darn, the rains are coming. As I trudge forward through the long grass the first drop hits my brow. I jump on my bike and hurry toward the nearest shelter. I find several mountain climbers as I scurry past. Far too much gear for a trail I can easily bike through I must admit. They ignore me fortunately. No time for a battle with some rock-headed ground-types. Suddenly off in the distance I see a trench. I ride near it and see an opening to a cave. A sign in front reads, “Meteorite Falls.” I venture in.

Despite the rains and darkness outside, it’s remarkably well lit within the cave. You can hear the splash and trickle of a stream, and even further a roar of what must be the waterfall within. I decide to just hunker down for the night. We can make the journey deeper tomorrow after we dry off. I build a fire and set up my tent. I set my bag down and place my pokeballs next to the fire to warm the Pokemon inside. Six in total… one being my new shiny. I giggle in excitement. I giggle… giggle… snore… zzz…

… CREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEONK!!!!!

“WHAT WAS THAT?!” I spring awake and sit up in shock. There before me is another Pokemon. My eyes are still foggy from my slumber, but the appearance is menacing. A gaping mouth with eyes as dead as winter. Tongue whipping outward and bat-like wings beating with defiance. A Golbat… this cave is ridden with bats! Zubats and Golbats flutter everywhere around the flames of my fire. This Golbat before me though, it’s different. A green, pearlescent hue. ANOTHER SHINY! I reach for my pokeballs only to find an Ultra Ball is already open… odd… I grab it anyway and fling it toward the shiny Golbat. Again, much like earlier today, it takes the Golbat in and clasps shut shortly after. I grab my belongings and rush out of the cave.

I bike through the rain for several hours… the clouds continue to pour down upon me. Lightning arcs across the sky. I make it to Rustboro City. A familiar town. I purchase some dry clothes at the market and have lunch. In my own exhaustion, I think back at my day before… a dank hole in the wall where a shiny Electabuzz was waiting. A cave full of bats where another shiny was to be found. What a day. A day full of excitement and shinies. This must be what Jonulo felt like as he caught his 967th shiny or how Cheels was like when she finally found that shiny Ponyta.

Tossing what was left of my lunch in the trash, I walk onward. A new day ahead of me. A new adventure awaits. I smile as the sun finally breaks through the clouds. I take a moment just to let it wash over me… oh how it feels so good… so good the sun on my skin… “WTF?!” I feel a sudden wetness on my thigh. I glance down and a blue ooze is dripping down my leg. “OH GOD!” I scream. I run. The ooze is still there, holding tightly. What it could be, I do not know. I leap into a nearby pond as people look in shock. As I splash in panic I catch the sight of these dead… demonic eyes… set deeply within a splash of blue, richer than the water we’re in. I paddle gently back… the eyes continue to follow. I look and see my belongings at the edge of the pond… an Ultra Ball open nearby… and then it dawns on me… I can’t even speak… but then… those same dead-pan eyes move even closer… and shortly after, I’m looking not at a pile of blue ooze… but myself… with those eyes… in pure shock and horror a smile appears on my own facing looking at me…

“You are mine… forever”…

“Ditto,” I say in return.

The pursuit of dreams is important to the process of chasing dreams, not the results.Although i give up this dream,i learn a lot from the bond between me and my Magikarp. The power of bond is endless.

Falkner Gettin' older

The Banette who couldn't stop laughing

No need to be scared of ghosts

Getting my best friend

Path

Laugh.

“Now this,” I said, feeling more alive than I had in my entire life, “this is a challenge.”

Pyu, Together We Shine

The history of memories that will never return

Peechan.

I miss my friend Jon

@MPDH @Bearminator @Lin please vote who you think that deserves 1st and 2nd place. I will give 1st +2 points and 2nd +1 point.
Thank you!
