What happened to hoenn battle frontier?

There is some structure when the npc says that the feature is temporary deactivated.

But i've seen this topic:

And seems that those places are just not implemented yet. But the post is from 2017. So is there any news about the battle frontier?

Nope, battle frontier had no implementations since. There are only few structures working (which are extremely easy and give a ridiculously low amount of BP) and the BP exchange infrastructures.
