this is really infuriating as it causes you to use moves in battle you didnt mean to use. every input on the battle menu has to be frame perfect, wtf?
instead of checking if a button is down/pressed every frame, there should be some bit set until the button is up/released so that the effects of that button being down are not invoked 60 times in a second.
not sure if this applies to keyboard input as ive only played using a gamepad.
