Shinies are guaranteed 1x31 IV? What about eggs?

I just read that all shinies are guaranteed 1x31 IV now. What does that mean for egg shinies?

 

I've just gone over 40k eggs hatched in my shiny hunt. Should I be breeding 1x31 IV Pokémon to even have a chance at hatching a shiny?

Hello!

Shiny wild encounters are 1x31 guaranteed. You can confirm this in this post:

 

The same won't happen to hatching, the parents need to have ivs 31 and you need to use braces if you'd like to keep the ivs, but having an iv 31 isn't a requirement for the baby to be a shiny. You can have a shiny with no 31's.
