Bestfriends
For the rest of the Gym Information, I would encourage for you to read @RedactedColour's Kanto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh Gym Guides. This section is primarily focused on certain features to the Kanto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh Gym Runs such as a key for relevant information, weather teams, and prize payouts. Thank you @Xigbar and @Limbow for documenting the prize money for each gym leader and @Linfanz for helping me document a weather set for Gigalith. So without further ado, let's ago! Also, feel free to check out my Unova Gym Guide, Morimoto, and Undella Town Cynthia Guides. Weather Sweepers Back when these Gym Guides were made, Amulet Coin use to be a held item. However, in today's economic world as @razimove has pointed out, Amulet Coins are no longer a held item. Amulet Coins can only be boosted for 60 minutes each, so you have to knock out the Gym Leaders as quickly as possible to make sure that you don't run out of time. So with that being said, I would like to list the Weather Sweepers and for each Gym Leader, I plan on putting a stone or two at the top left of each Gym Leader as an indicator of what Weather Team(s) work best for that particular Gym Leader (the Sun Team is probably one of the most powerful weather team out of the list, so you may seem some Heat Rocks scattered around a lot of Gym Leaders). So with that being said, lets dive straight in: Spoiler Sun Team: Spoiler Torkoal (Level 100) Nature: Bold (+ Defence, - Attack) IVs: +25 HP/-- Attack/31 Defence/+25 Sp Attack/+20 Sp Defence/0-15 Speed EVs: 250 HP/252 Defence/8 Sp Defence Ability: Drought Item: Heat Rock Heat Wave/Eruption, Solar Beam, Yawn/Earth Power, Stealth Rock Typlosion (Level 100) Nature: Modest (+ Sp Attack, - Attack); Timid (+ Speed, - Attack) IVs: +25 HP/-- Attack/+25 Defence/30-31 Sp Attack/+25 Sp Defence/31 Speed EVs: 6 HP/252 Sp Attack/252 Speed Ability: Blaze Item: Choice Specs/Choice Scarf Eruption, Flamethrower, Extrasensory/Hidden Power (Ice), Solar Beam The rest of the team can be Chlorophyll Sweepers of your choice. Risadex
Well I would like to share the team I use, it kills mostly gyms in 4-5 turns and only need to swap leads acording to gym. I am with smartphone, so forgive me the formating. Aerodactyl @ Choice Band Ability: Rock Head EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Rock Slide - Earthquake - Double-Edge - Pursuit Typhlosion @ Choice Specs Ability: Blaze EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 3 Atk / 30 Def / 30 SpD / 30 Spe - Flamethrower - Eruption - Focus Blast - Hidden Power [Rock] Octillery @ Choice Scarf Ability: Suction Cups EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Water Spout - Surf - Energy Ball - Ice Beam Galvantula @ Expert Belt Ability: Compound Eyes EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 2 Atk / 30 Def - Bug Buzz - Thunder - Energy Ball - Hidden Power [Ice] Golduck @ Expert Belt Ability: Cloud Nine EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 2 Atk / 30 SpA - Surf - Calm Mind - Hidden Power [Grass] - Ice Beam Leads depend on the gym: I ll use an example with hoenn ones, but they are similar in other gyms: Fighting gym : octillery + typlhosion normal gym: Aerodactyl + typhlosion rock gym: typhlosion+ octillery (swap typhlo for duck if there's sandstorm. In other sandstorm gyms you should start with golduck because they have sand rush exca.) fire gym: octillery + golduck / octillery + aero flying gym: aero + typhlo psych gym: octillery+ typlho (if slowbro/king couple, just send galvsntula) water gym: golduck + octillery/ galvantula electric gym: aero+typhlo (or typhlo + octillery but then lanturn can stall a turn.) this strategie can struggle just a little bit vs rain teams (after golduck was introduced, it became really easier) it also can suffer a bit vs Iris, besides her, the average time spent in each gym (excluding puzzles) is 2~3 minutes. I use only 5 mons, generally the 6th slot is for leveling mon or whatever you wanna to put. With this i generally can beat hoen + kanto within 1 hour and left time to beat morimoto if lucky. Can't do the same with unova+ sinooh cus those gyms have a lot of wasting time puzzles. Mookynesis, Diplomacy and napine 2 1 Link to comment
