Pokemon abilities?

With regards to the changelog here it says some abilities/ hidden abilities were added to the game. My question is how can we get them on new and old pokemon?

That post never said anything about hidden abilities.

If a Pokemon has multiple abilities, that's not a hidden ability, you can buy an Ability Pill from the NPC that sells breeding items. They're 35k.

But if the Pokedex doesn't state that the Pokemon has a second/third ability can we still get them with the pill?

No. If the pokedex only lists one ability then that Pokemon only has one ability.

Hidden Abilities are currently unavailable, the changelog was referring to their effects being coded into the game (which so far is only relevant for NPCs / Battle Frontier modes / potential events where you are given rental mons).

The Ability Pill will likely not interact with Hidden Abilities due to them being intended to be included within Dungeons, as it would logically allow players to circumvent having to do the dungeon content at all largely making it irrelevant thus I personally doubt the current Ability Pill will be able to do so when they actually are released to players.
