Aggron head smash

I tried to use a Nidoran(F) and a male Scraggy with head smash to breed a Nidoran(M) with head smash. However it came out to be a Nidoran(F) without head smash. Will the offspring of a Nidoran(F) and a male scraggy always be a Nidoran(F)?

It is really a trial and error scenario if you're trying to pass from the Nidoran family. However, with the Sinnoh update, Rampardos can make life a lot easier since its egg group is also Monster.

To complement what Bestfriends said, use Tepig instead of Scraggy, you can buy them cheap on gtl with Head Smash (lvl 40).
