Was wondering if anyone thought that adding the Experience Group for Pokemon in the PokeDex would be a good idea? Simple, eh? EDIT: Or in the Summary Window, under the date you met the Pokemon on.

While the Pokedex we use in this game is far more detailed than any Pokedex we've ever used before, there is one small thing I think could make it better: A way to search for known Pokemon by name. I thought of this because I often find myself opening my Pokedex when encountering a Pokemon I'm not sure if I've caught yet or not, and sometimes it can take a while to pinpoint that Pokemon in the Pokedex. An alternative suggestion would be to have a Pokeball next to the wild Pokemon's name in battle to indicate whether you've caught it or not, and save opening the Pokedex altogether.

As the Title says, add the evolution(whether it be by leveling up to a certain level, trade, or item) info of each Pokemon to the Dex info. It would be similar to how the EV yield is included. I think that it should be relatively easy to implement, and anything that reduces the amount of questions asked can't hurt.

I suggest for the Pokedex to be usable in battle to bring up information on the opposing Pokemon. The trainer could just click the Pokedex button and be greeted with information on the Pokemon. Particularly, the nature of the Pokemon, and other useful information. If the Pokedex is opened to see the current Pokedex screen during battle, the Trainer could just press a button on screen to see it instead. Benefits of this suggestion:

Save trainers looking for specific natures/abilities time and Pokeballs.
Trainers new to the franchise can learn about Pokemon.
Warning: It is lengthy, but half of it is real easy. Don't worry. The concept of my idea is to improve the pokedex so that you use it more than you use google. Basically, all I'm asking for is more tabs and text on it. The pokedex is often defined as a "technological wonder" and it makes people think of the iPhone from 17 years ago. Might as well make it look like it can do more. The pros for this are so it gives enough information so the user doesn't need to google or ask global chat for most of what he wants. The cons? None, other than some time consumption. Here's a list of ideas, but you can find whatever you want. If you're a dev or something, read at least the first and second list. Sorta Implementable things, that are just text pretty much: -Add the evolution method. (Level 30, thunderstone) etc. -Add the types of pokemon. Sometimes people tend to forget dual types. For now, it doesn't even have to be the type icon, just a character string that says "grass/poison" is enough. It's probably planned but it is missing nevertheless. -Add the potential abilities a pokemon can have. So you know that when you cuahgt a pokemon, it has another passive that you didn't know about that you may prefer. -Add a clock on it. That's the main reason any human takes out their iPhone. Could be both in-game and real-life time, but whatever you want. A clock is symbolic. It needs one. -Add a new tab with an index of all user commands. Because all I know is /w, /unstuck and /time and I'm certain there are many more. You probably have a text file of them, just copy/paste it onto a tab in there. Maybe implementable, don't know: -A "currently owned" color for pokemon. Like a darkish red. So there is a difference between "caught" and "caught but don't have it anymore". This way it looks way cooler when you actually own 386 pokemon in your boxes, which is my goal. If you wanna go crazy: -A search feature just like in the newer games. So you can search for a aprticular type or order by alphabetical or whatever. -Add a "seen" pokemon's location on the map (Not urgent as it's difficult but it needs done eventually.) -A new tab with a TM dex type thing. So that you know what TMs you had but used and forgot and stuff. It would have the same interface as the pokedex tab, except it'd have TMs. There's plenty that can be done with this. -A more advanced progress bar. I heard achievements were planned, they could fit in a tab in here. You know, with the completion of the pokedex or TM dex. People wouldn't have to compare "seen 42, caught 21, owned 15" all the time, they could just state "10% complete". It could give some sort of easy ranking. Suggest some more things if you like and tell me what you think. Once again, the main motivation for this is that the pokedex is underrated, when it shuold be the essence of the storyline and goal of the game. But people are just focused on EVs and battles. Remind them to fill out this thing and to whip it out as often as they whip out their iPhone! :)

I was thinking that a good idea would be to where the Pokedex could have functions of the PC,not the whole thing, but possibly to be able to check on your boxes to see recently caught pokemon's stats and natures without having to head back to the PC. Possibly have it to where you can organize your PC(no withdrawals or depositing of pokemon, just say transferring from one box to another) from the pokedex too.

So not sure you could always get a reward whether you have every pokemon in your pokedex but how about getting rewarded for doing so? Maybe another MasterBall? Shoot maybe a rare candy? A voucher to get cheaper items at the store, i dunno. Just a suggestion. Also if you do add a pokedex from the other gen's perhaps have a reward for finding every pokemon across all three gens? Shoooooooot do whatchu want<3
