1. Hey, A few days ago I started programing a Egg Hatch Timer, which counts down the time until the egg hatches. First I used the times from this thread. After I finished the code,I noticed that the real times are shorter then the times in the thread by @Eggplant (big thanks for sharing!). Because I don't want to give up my project and want to know the new times, I need your help! Please count the time till the egg hatches while you are breeding and post them into this thread. Here are the times and tiers I already collected: Tier 1: 3 mins, 15-45 seconds Tier 2: 5 minutes, 15-45 seconds Tier 3: 6 minutes, 15-45 seconds Tier 4: 8 minutes, 15-45 seconds Tier 5: 10 minutes, 15-45 seconds Tier 6: 11 minutes, 15-45 seconds Tier 7: 13 minutes, 15-45 seconds
2. Hey everybody! A couple days ago, I looked up some PokeMMO videos, and I noticed that there haven't been many guides out since 2015 started. I also saw a bunch of people discussing the high prices of competitive Pokemon on the game and complaining about how they have no way to get that much money. That inspired me to make this video guide. This may not be the BEST way in the game to make money, but it's a pretty decent and simple way to do it. I hope this helped some of you, and for those of you who it didn't, go ahead and feel free to leave suggestions or tell what you do for money to help everyone out!
3. Hello, I have been going through this comp style and watching tourneys in game to help come up with a guide for the current scene. Any input or suggestions are greatly appreciated. I'm no pro and had a bit of catching up to do. But I hope this benefits the community. 4. Mnemosyne’s Never Used competitive guide Welcome everyone, In the last couple of months I noticed that the popularity of the NU tier has grown alot, because of this I decided to make a Never Used Competitive Guide. I will try to keep this guide updated with the monthly tier changes due to usage and adjust sets if needed. If anyone has feedback about sets, or has new sets to add, that they would like to share, feel free to reply =). The following pokemons are Never Used pokemons: Aggron Bellosom Camerupt Cacturne Claydol Chimecho Diglett Electabuzz Electrode Exploud Fearow Flareon Gligar Golduck Gorebyss Hitmontop Kabutops Kadabra Kecleon Kingler Magmar Mantine Masquerain Mawile Metang Muk Octillery Piloswine Pinsir Qwilfish Raichu Roselia Sableye Sandslash Scyther Shiftry Shuckle Solrock Stantler Tangela Tropius Torkoal Victreebell Venomoth Walrein Whiscash Xatu Aggron HP 70 / Atk 110 / Def 180 / Sp Atk 60 / Sp Def 60 / Speed 50 With it’s amazing rock + steel typing, 110 attack stat and sturdy ability, Aggron is one of the most dangerous wallbreakers in the current NU tier, that gives your opponent a lot of pressure. It is a lot of predicting, and it’s best stab move only has 75% accuracy but there are barely pokemons that don’t get 2HKO’d by this monster. Watch out for water and ground moves. Choice Bander Item: Choice Band Nature: Adamant Ability: Sturdy EV’s: 252 Atk / 252 Speed Moveset: Iron Tail - Rock Slide - Earthquake - Thunderpunch Best counters: Tangela and Whiscash Bellosom HP 75 / Atk 80 / Def 95 / Sp Atk 90 / Sp Def 100 / Speed 50 Bellosom is a good defensive wall that has access to synthesis and leech seed for recovery. Being a grass type gives a good answer to water and ground moves. Bellosom is one of the few pokemons that stop Kingler and Whiscash and checks offensive Raichu. Watch out for Victreebells and Roselia that could easily switch in. Defensive wall Item: Leftovers Nature: Bold Ability: Chlorophyll EV’s: 252 HP / 252 Def Moveset: Giga Drain – Sludge Bomb/HP Ice – Synthesis – Leech Seed/Toxic Cacturne Camerupt HP 70 / Atk 100 / Def 70 / Sp Atk 100 / Sp Def 75 / Speed 40 Camerupt has pretty poor defensive statt’s but it’s electric immunity, 4 resists and having only 2 weaknesses makes it a decent special defensive wall that can counter Electabuzz and switch in on grass types like Bellosom andTangela. Eruption is it’s strongest stab move that could be used on a offensive set to break walls. Camerupt benefits a lot from a spikes user. Earthquake is mainly for hitting other Camerupts. Special Defensive wall Item: Leftovers Nature: Sassy EV’s: 252 Hp / 252 Sp Def Moveset: Flamethrower - Earthquake – Toxic – Roar Eruption Item: Special Choice band / Swift Choice Band Nature: Mild Ev’s: 252 Sp Atk / 252 Speed Moveset: Eruption – Flamethrower – HP Grass – Earthquake Claydol HP 60 / Atk 70 / 105 Def / 70 Sp Atk / 120 Sp Def / 75 Speed Claydol is one of the few spinners in the current NU tier. It has impressive defensive stats but pretty poor offensive stats. Has 6 amazing resistances but also 6 weaknesses. Only use it as a spinner. You could also go for the special defensive set as a Raichu + Electabuzz counter if you want to. Defensive Rapid Spinner Item: Leftovers Nature: Relaxed/Bold Ability: Levitate Ev’s: 252 HP / 252 Def Moveset: Earthquake/Ice Beam – Psychic – Rapid Spin – Toxic/Rest Special Defensive Rapid Spinner Item: Leftovers Nature: Sassy Ability: Levitate Ev’s: 252 HP / 252 Sp Def Moveset: Earthquake – Psychic – Rapid Spin – Toxic/Rest Chimecho HP 75 / Atk 50 / 80 Def / 95 Sp Atk / 90 Sp Def / 65 Speed This year Chimecho got a very nice buff in HP, Def and Sp Def which have made Chimecho a decent support pokemon. It has an amazing movepool with moves like: Wish, Heal Bell, Recover, Thunder Wave to support your team. If you go recover in stead of wish, I suggest you to pick Calm Mind fort he second slot. Support Item: Leftovers Nature: Bold Ev’s: 252 HP / 252 Def Moveset: Wish/Recover – Protect/Calm Mind – Heal Bell – Psychic Diglett Electabuzz HP 65 / Atk 83 / Def 57 / Sp Atk 95 / Sp Def 85 / Speed 105 Electabuzz has one of the highest speed stats in this NU tier. It’s very good stats and amazing movepool makes Electabuzz currently one of the best offensive sweepers. Special sweeper Item: Life Ball Nature: Timid Ev’s: 252 Sp Atk / 252 Speed Moveset: Thunderbolt – HP Ice/Grass – Psychic – Signal beam Mixed offensive Item: Life Ball Ev’s 252 Sp Atk / 252 Speed Moveset: Cross Chop – HP Ice – Psychic – Thunderbolt Best counters: Kecleon (If not Cross Chop) Whiscash (If not HP Grass) Claydol Bellosom Raichu (If not Cross Chop) Muk Electrode HP 60 / Atk 50 / Def 70 / Sp Atk 80 / Sp Def 80 / Speed 150 Electrode is the fastest pokemon in the game. The best way to use Electrode is to try and get behind a substitute, then toxic while behind the sub. Even though it’s offensive stat isn’t the best it can still give the opponent a lot of pressure. 108 Speed EV’s gives you 184 speed at level 50. Sub + Toxic Item: Leftovers Nature: Modest Ev’s: 144 HP / 252 Sp Atk / 108 Speed Moveset: Thunderbolt – HP Ice – Toxic – Substitute Best counters: Muk Metang Kecleon Raichu Exploud Fearow HP 65 / Atk 90 / Def 65 / Sp Atk 61 / Sp Def 61 / Speed 100 Fearow is the fastest normal spammer in this Never Used tier. It’s movepool is pretty horrific but it can do the job for you. It has access to a priority stabmove and can pursuit. Choice Bander Item: Choice Band Nature: Jolly Ev’s 252 Atk / 252 Speed Moveset: Return/Double Edge – Drill Peck – Quick attack – Pursuit Best counters: Solrock Metang Aggron Shuckle Flareon HP 65 / Atk 130 / Def 60 / Sp Atk 95 / Sp Def 110 / Speed 65 Flareon can either be used as a mixed wallbreaker or special defensive support set. Flareon isn’t used that much currently, but it is a good pokemon that should defenitely be used more often. The 220 speed ev’s on the wallbreaker set lets Flareon outspeed max speed Whiscash. Mixed wallbreaker Item: Life Ball/Choice Band Nature: Lonely Ev’s: 38 HP / 252 Atk / 220 Speed Moveset: Superpower / Overheat / Quick Attack/HP Grass / Bite/HP Grass Wish Support Item: Leftovers Nature: Calm Ev’s: 252 HP / 252 Sp Def Moveset: Flamethrower – Toxic – Protect – Wish Best counters: Chimecho Solrock Qwilfish Shuckle Gligar HP 65 / Atk 75 / Def 105 / Sp Atk 35 / Sp Def 65 / Speed 85 Gligar it’s typing makes it immune to Thunderbolt and Earthquake and also resistances to Fighting, Bug and Poison moves. Gligar is as it’s best as a offensive swords dancer or defensive wall. Watch out for ice or water moves. HP Ice is a move that is used a lot on Electabuzz, Electrode and offensive Raichu these days. Offensive Swords Dance: Item: Leftovers Nature: Jolly Ability: Hyper Cutter Ev’s: 252 Atk / 252 Speed Moveset: Earthquake – Aerial Ace – Quick Attack – Swords Dance Defensive Wall: Item: Leftovers Nature: Impish Ability: Hyper Cutter Ev’s: 252 HP / 252 Def Moveset: Earthquake – Aerial Ace – Toxic – Counter Golduck HP 80 / Atk 82 / Def 78 / Sp Atk 95 / Sp Def 80 / Speed 85 Golduck has very all-rounded stats and one of the few water pokemons that has access to Psychic. Golduck is a decent offensive calm minder. It’s ability Cloud Nine blocks the effects of weather. Although there are better calm minders in this meta like Xatu. Gets pretty easily walled by Kecleon and Raichu. Offensive Calm Minder Item: Life Ball / Leftovers Nature: Timid Ability: Cloud Nine Ev’s: 252 Sp Atk / 252 Speed Moveset: Surf – Ice Beam – Psychic – Calm Mind Best counters: Raichu Kecleon Gorebyss HP 54 / Atk 84 / Def 105 / Sp Atk 114 / Sp Def 75 / Speed 52 The ability Swift Swim makes Gorebyss the best special attacking rain user. Rain Dance boosts your speed and powers up Surf, turning Gorebyss into an offensive powerhouse. Rain Dance Sweeper Item: Life Ball Nature: Modest Ability: Swift Swim Ev’s: 252 Sp Atk / 252 Speed Moveset: Surf – Ice Beam – HP Grass /HP Electric– Rain Dance Best counters: Raichu Muk Hitmontop HP 50 / Atk 95 / Def 95 / Sp Atk 35 / Sp Def 110 / Speed 70 Even though Hitmontop it’s HP is pretty low, the ability Intimidate and it’s 95 defensive and 110 special defensive makes Hitmontop a very good wall. Having Rapid spin only makes it even better. Rapid Spinner Item: Leftovers Nature: Impish Ev’s: 252 HP, 252 Def Moveset: Mach Punch/High Jump Kick – Earthquake/Rock Slide – Rock Slide/Toxic – Rapid Spin Bulk Up Item: Leftovers/Chesto Berry Nature: Careful Ev’s: 252 HP, 252 Sp Def Moveset: High Jump Kick – Earthquake/Rock Slide – Bulk Up – Rest/Rock Slide/Earthquake Kabutops HP 60 / Atk 115 / Def 105 / Sp Atk 65 / Sp Def 70 / Speed 80 Kabutops can either be used as a rain dance sweeper or choice scarfer. It’s water + rock typing gives it 2 very solid stab moves. The rock typing allows Kabutops to stop normal spam. 118 speed is needed to outspeed everything as a rain dance user. If you already got a rain dancer, defenitely use aerial ace. Rain Dance sweeper Item: Life Ball Nature: Adamant Ev’s: 116 HP / 252 Atk / 142 Speed Moveset: Rain Dance/Aerial Ace – Waterfall – Rock Slide – Superpower Choice Scarf Item: Choice Scarf Nature: Jolly Ev’s: 252 HP / 252 Speed Moveset: Rock Slide – Waterfall – Superpower – Aerial Ace Best counters: Bellosom Tangela Hitmontop Qwilfish Kadabra HP 40 / Atk 35 / Def 30 / Sp Atk 120 / Sp Def 70 / Speed 105 This thing is a very dangerous sweeper in Never Used. Psychic + Signal Beam is a very strong offensive combination. It can either be used as a calm minder or as a special bander. Just make sure you switch this thing in safely. Also watch out for special defensive Metang that could pursuit trap you. Calm Minder Item: Life Ball Nature: Timid Ev’s: 252 Sp Atk / 252 Speed Moveset: Psychic – Signal beam/Shadow Ball – HP Fighting/HP Ground – Calm Mind Special Choice band Item: Special Choice Band Nature: Timid Ev’s: 252 Sp Atk / 252 Speed Moveset: Psychic – Signal beam/Shadow Ball – HP Fighting/HP Ground – Trick Best counters: Metang Raichu Kecleon Kecleon HP 60 / Atk 90 / Def 70 / Sp Atk 60 / Sp Def 120 / Speed 40 Having the ability Color Change and an amazing 120 Special Defense stat makes Kecleon one of the best special defensive walls in the game, if not the best. What color change does is it changes the type to the type of the last attack that hit this pokemon. Also has Recover and Thunder Wave. Thunder wave helps crippling fast opposing attackers or slow defensive calm minders like Chimecho and Xatu. Specially Defensive: Item: Leftovers Nature: Careful Ev’s: 252 HP / 252 SP Def Moveset: Seismic Toss – Thief – Recover – Thunder Wave/Toxic Kingler HP 55 / Atk 130 / Def 115 / Sp Atk 50 / Sp Def 50 / Speed 75 Another amazing wallbreaker in the tier. Can either be used as a Choice Bander, Swords Dancer or Choice Scarfer. Crabhammer is defenitely something to watch out for. The best counters for this gigantic krab are Tangela and Bellosom. For the Choice Banded and Scarf set I would just pick Swords dance in the last slot because it only has 3 proper moves to use anyway. Choice Band Item: Choice Band Nature: Adamant/Jolly Ev’s: 252 Atk / 252 Speed Moveset: Crabhammer – Return – Superpower – Swords Dance (Could use Rock Tomb, but meh) Swords Dance Item: Life Ball Nature: Adamant/Jolly Ev’s: 252 Atk / 252 Speed Moveset: Crabhammer – Superpower – Return – Swords Dance Flail + Swords Dance Item: Salac Berry Nature: Jolly Ev’s: 252 Atk / 252 Speed Moveset: Crabhammer – Flail – Substitute – Swords Dance Choice Scarf Item: Choice Scarf Nature: Adamant/Jolly Ev’s: 252 Atk / 252 Speed Moveset: Crabhammer – Return – Superpower – Swords Dance (Could use Rock Tomb, but meh) Best counters: Tangela Bellosom
5. for many games, display scaling is something you can modify in your settings. for some reason pokemmo does not give you the option to mess with your display setting, and it is controlled by your dpi https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dots_per_inch. so if you are using a very high resolution laptop with a relatively small screen, or a large monitor, you may have issues with reading the text. this is a guide on how to fix this. windows: linux: mac: their are programs that can change your display settings with the touch of a button, but im not covering that here, go google it if you want it. im tired off seeing "how do i change my display settings" threads.
6. How to Save Time, Work Smarter Not Harder Fast Breeding Tips Use both breeding centers at once (now this takes a little bit more planning than usual but can easily be done in your head. You can right down what gender the eggs are when you get them so you dont forget.) Buy braces and give to the mon(s) during the egg wait time Have mons needed for next stage of breed in party with braces/everstone waiting to be put into daycare immediately when you pick up the other egg (if possible). Fast EV Training Tips Use sweet scent hoards Use spread moves Use a spread move that hits neutrally. This means that it doesnt say the "its super-effective!" or "its not very effective..." strings of text. Use Twister for everything except steel types. Use Surf for Steel types ~~~~~~~ Fastest Magma Hideout DEFENSE EV Training (Hoenn, near Lavaridge) ~~~~~~~~~ There is only 1 spread move that hits them neutrally and this will save you HOURS of training time. That move is TWISTER. This move will hit every EV training hoard in the game neutrally except for steel type and dragon types. The best mon to use this move with is Dragonite. Since it is only 40 base power you will need to train special attack, hopefully have 31 ivs, grind to level 100 and potentially use a special choice band. If you find you are able to 1 hit the hoards without the need of any item then use a kings rock for the added flinch chance, twister has a 10% chance to flinch and kings rock adds another 10% to that, bringing the total to 20%. You'll be surprised by how much it triggers. ~~~~~~~ Fastest Cerulean Cave SPECIAL ATTACK EV Training (Kanto, Near Cerulean [Fire red storyline must be complete]) ~~~~~~~~~ New Method: Fastest!! Cerulean Cave hoards are fastest. Kill the kadabras and magneton only. Use surf on the magnetons to save time with the text displaying the "its not very effective..." string of text.. Old Method: 0. Navigate into the Pokemon Tower and position yourself near the healing square so you can heal as often as you need. 1. Have the mon you are training in the front of your party holding a MACHO BRACE 2. Switch into a NORMAL TYPE pokemon with a spread move that is not Hyper Voice. The best mon for this is a Smeargle with surf. Since the Smeargle is normal-type 75% of the moves the gastlys and haunters use on you wont effect it. Making the turn go by fast. ~~~~~~~ Fastest Route 23 ATTACK EV Training (Kanto, near Viridian City) ~~~~~~~~~ The best place to train attack is Route 23. Since this Route is far down a path the fastest way to EV train here is to bring Leppa berries/ethers. However if you are strapped for cash it is still quite quick without them. Fast Berry Farming Tips If you are only growing a single berry species for money and its one of the "basic" berries that only requires 3 seeds of the same plain type then you can save alot of time. 1. Have nothing in your seed inventory other than the seed you want to use 2. Go up to berry patch and hold down "a". 3. It will go through the berry window crazy fast, then just water! (hotkey wailmer pail to skip water dialogue.) Fastest Leveling in the Game 1: Cerulean cave gives the most exp in the game. 2: Use traded mons as your spread move user. (The mon in the front of the party.) 3: Give the spread move user (the mon in the front of the party) a lucky egg/have donators status if you afford both/either. (lucky egg only affect the first mon in the party) X: Use Exp Share on an additional mon to gain that amount of exp as well With all of that combined you can earn up to 7k exp a battle for both the pokemon in the front of the party, and one you may wish to give the exp share. Note: Using multiple exp shares reduces the amount of exp gained. Smart Shiny Hunting Have your leppa berries hotkeyed in a very accessible key, I use "d". You want your sweet scent user in the fourth slot of your party. You want sweet scent to be the first move in the moveset. Once you have this all set up you are ready to refill your sweet scent users pp very quickly. Here's how: 1: Press d 2: Press down once, press a 3: Press a again to refill pp by one leppa 4: Repeat steps 1-3 2 more times to refill pp completely
7. Hello there. I know there are several guides how to and where to farm items with trick, thief or covet. Most people use pokemon with ability damp and move thief. But you have to train many different pokemon with damp and thief to be able to thief-farm in different areas on pokemons with different levels. Thinking about that, I got an idea: Is damp really that important? If you train full speed ev and have 31 speed iv, it shouldnt be a problem to get the first hit. So.. what about smeargle, you ask? Let me explain on this example (This example is for perfectionists) SMEARGLE LEVEL: 100 IV HP: 31 ATK: 0 DEF: 31 SP ATK: 0-31 SP DEF: 31 SPEED: 31 EV SPEED: 252 DEF/HP: 252 Nature: Timid. (+10% Speed, -10% Atk) MOVES: Covet/Thief (Or both if you want to) (THe other moves dont really matter. Choose whatever move you want after learning covet and/or thief) Now let me explain: Smeargle with -10% Atk (timid, no atk iv and no atk ev) has only 40 Base Atk at level 100. With full 31 IV on hp, def, sp def and speed you have a good defense and good hp. (Sp atk doesnt matter in this case, cause we won't need it. So it can be between 0 and 31.) Next is: Train full speed ev for first strike. Next EV its up to you. You can push Smeargles DEF, SP DEF or HP (to withstand enemies attacks). Basically, if you follow this introduction, you will need only one smeargle to thief/covet-farm wild pokemons without needing to make dfferent pokemon for different areas and levels. Just to make a comparison.. other pokemon have nearly 40 base atk at lvl 20 (for example pokemon with damp, many people are using them). Well, hope this guide helped you. Maybe I will change the appearnce of this guide a bit (better order, maybe tables, style and maybe adding comparisons to other thief/covet pokemons) , but it should be complete how it is now. Feel free to comment and help me :)
8. Hey, champ in the making! Here we will explore the detailed costs of your next breeding project. To begin with, if you are new to the breeding mechanics, the best place to start from is Gilan's guide. Before you start, make sure to double-check your Egg Groups. The method used will be the simple and (hopefully most) efficient one: Start from a female of the desired Species, with the desired Egg Moves, Nature and assumed 0x31 IVs. Please note that this is a worst case scenario of breeding, in which your wild breeds are all 1x31. In reality you may skip some of these steps if you catch a 2x31. We will ignore the price of pokeballs used for 0x31 wild catches, because they greatly vary (100 pokeballs cost 20,000, so they are not THAT expensive). But from there on, every detail is calculated. The 0x31 natured female is bred with pre-prepared males of 1x31, 2x31, 3x31, 4x31, 5x31 and 6x31, using everstone+brace on each breed. It depends how many 31s you need, if you only need a 4x31 natured comp, you stop after the 4x31 male. Thanks to PandaJJ, we have now estimated the average number of wild catches and associated costs required, on average, to ensure we have all the 1x31s we need for each step. Each rectangle is a 1x31, 2x31 up to 6x31 MALE of the desired EGG GROUP. Start with a 0x31 FEMALE with egg moves ($600 for 3 pokeballs, parents and baby). Gender Selection +1. Pass the nature to the EGG MOVE FEMALE ($400 for 2 pokeballs, father and baby, 1 everstone). Gender Selection +1. Preliminary total $1,000 + 1 everstone + 2 gender selections. IV Breeding will commence: Each breed will obtain you an additional 1x31, and the MALE breed always has to have 1 more 31 than the FEMALE. Add the cost of each male in rectangles, depending on how many 31s you need. Add the cost of a pokeball ($200) for each breed, for the baby. Add 1 everstone and $15,000 (brace) for each breed. Add female gender selection cost for each breed, excluding the last one. A 2x31 comp (e.g. Diglett) costs: 1,000 + 1,200 + 37,400 + 400 + 30,000 + 3 everstones + 3 gender selections = $70,000 + 3 everstones + $0/ $15,000/ $27,000/ $63,000 (gender rarity) = $70,000-133,000 + 3 everstones A 3x31 comp (e.g. Shuckle) costs: 1,000 + 1,200 + 37,400 + 104,600 + 600 + 45,000 + 4 everstones + 4 gender selections = $189,800 + 4 everstones + $0/ $20,000/ $36,000/ $84,000 (gender rarity) = $189,800-273,800 + 4 eversones A 4x31 comp (e.g. Chansey) costs: 1,000 + 1,200 + 37,400 + 104,600 + 239,200 + 800 + 60,000 + 5 everstones + 5 gender selections = $444,200 + 5 everstones + $0/ $25,000/ $45,000/ $105,000 (gender rarity) = $444,200-549,200 + 5 everstones A 5x31 comp (most common) costs: 1,000 + 1,200 + 37,400 + 104,600 + 239,200 + 508,400 + 1,000 + 75,000 + 6 everstones + 6 gender selections = $967,800 + 6 everstones + $0/ $30,000/ $54,000/ $126,000 (gender rarity) = $967,800-1,093,800 + 6 everstones A 6x31 comp (any mixed attacker) costs: 1,000 + 1,200 + 37,400 + 104,600 + 239,200 + 508,400 + 1,047,000 + 1,200 + 90,000 + 7 everstones + 7 gender selections = $2,030,000 + 7 everstones + $0/ $35,000/ $63,000/ $147,000 (gender rarity) = $2,030,000-2,177,000 + 7 everstones Same goes for Hidden power breeding. Same costs, just replace the desired IV with 30. In some cases, one stat is negligible, making you able to breed for a 5xIV pokemon, but in the other times you will need full control of all 6 IVs. 9. Hello World, like probably most people here, I've got accompanied by Pokemon my whole childhood through. Just a month ago I've started to actively play PokeMMO and at the same time begun to play competitively. And there we already have the first reason to warn you: Although I do know all Pokemon, their typings and specific tasks from Gen 1-3 by heart, I actually never played against human competitors until Jan 2017 due to lack of link partners. On the other hand, I do know a bit about statistical analysis and other hardcore nerd stuff, so I guess that can help me to get better at figuring out what to do in PvP. Of course, throwing yourself into queue is by far the best way to improve, but I also like theory crafting. From the latter I have got a buttload incoming for you! However, you and me should be aware of that statistics or maths in general are not that representative for reality. This in fact is one of the biggest philosophical problems ever. Even Pokemon, although a game based on maths, is filled with such complexity and chaos, that it's very hard to predict the exact outcome of an encounter by numbers only. For actually relevant statistics you'd need to have an insanely huge sample size, which I don't have in this case, so please take the results with a grain of salt! :^) 1. Motivations Display and sort various properties using a spreadsheet (download required for interaction): Highest average damage dealt => Best attackers Figure out the best / easiest ways to sweep specific defenders Lowest average damage taken => Best defenders Figure out the best / easiest ways to wall specific attackers All that considering builds, play rates and more By that: Help creating a Team with good defense and offensive coverage Grant (more or less) easy access to several nice-to-know values, e.g. during battles The spreadsheet I created definitely offers more functionality than this thread, however if you don't want to mess with it, then that's absolutely fine. In that case it would be nice to let me know how much information you'd wish me to extract. :) 2. The Wall of Numbers {{OverUsed Tier}} I just put the credits here. This is based on information from: PokeMMO official usage statistics for play rates, sampled 11th Jan - 5th Feb 2016 (which is kinda outdated tbh) Pokemon Database Pokedex for Pokemon status values, type effectiveness, accessibility of moves and several good-to-know Q&As Gbush's OU Guide, Smogon Strategy Pokedex, Google and my small fraction of own experiences for composition of builds Bulbapedia for game mechanics And of course, special thanks to the creators of Pokemon, PokeMMO and OpenOffice and everyone, who's willing to help me improve this guide :) Challenge accepted. jk, in principle he's totally right. First off, a brief explanation on what I did. Essentially, I arranged a maximum of two builds per pokemon, calculated the respective stats and let all builds and associated moves hit all pokemon and their two builds once. Thus, by help of the almighty copy-paste and some handiwork, I created a vast array of damage values and derived several weighted averages from the aggregated data. By vast, I mean more than a hundred thousand entries. (please kill me) The following things are considered: Play rate, EV spread, move set, STAB, type effectiveness, move power, most beneficial status effects (items, abilities, moves), average critical hit bonus and average random attack bonus. Everything with 31 IVs in all relevant stats. !!! WARNINGS / FLAWS !!! || || || || || V V V V V What does it do? Some clarification for each tab: Builds and Results Here you can play around with the "big" averages. Greyed-out rows are redundant builds. "Atk+ DMG" refers to the damage dealt with Atk stat boosts only, like Choice Band, or one use of e.g. Swords Dance or Calm Mind. The Guts ability is excluded from this. "MAX DMG" refers to the damage dealt with all available steroids, again with only one use of status moves. Which one of those values is more representative depends on the pokemon... This convention applies to all tabs of the spreadsheet. Sweeping X-Y Mark the entire first row and "Ctrl+F" the pokemon you want to sweep (make sure to search only within the selection), then sort as you please and look out for which pokemon or attacks bring the highest values. Physical/Special Defense Mark the entire first row and "Ctrl+F" the pokemon you want to wall (make sure to search only within the selection), then sort as you please and look out for which pokemon or builds bring the lowest values. Play Rates and Move Access Here you can see the ludicrous mess I fabricated considering the chances to encounter specific builds and moves. On the one hand I really need those values, on the other they're completely made up. Maybe more on that in the WIP section... Though the accessibility of moves could be helpful, I guess. I genuinely hope, that you are able to download, open and arrange the file without problems. || || || || || V V V V V Download link to ODS (BETA) version, (size: 5.38 MB, recommended): https://www.dropbox.com/s/590lmk8viez9xry/PokéMMO - OU Battling Statistics BETA.ods?dl=0 Download link to XLS (BETA) version (size: 9.53 MB, not yet sure if exported correctly): https://www.dropbox.com/s/q0alz0xuerontif/PokéMMO - OU Battling Statistics BETA.xls?dl=0 3. OU Offense Results Below you can see the highest overall maximum damage averages. By that definition, these are not necessarily the "best". Most of them require a certain form of setup to be useful. With such great potential often comes high risk, too, so as always please take the results with a grain of salt. The overall play rate does not refer to the build but the pokemon usage. The following builds might not even be the most common ones. This list only takes raw, fully boosted damage into consideration as far as order goes. However most of the conclusions I made are based on what I observed in detail with the spreadsheet. 3.1. TOP 10 Physical Damage Potential 3.2. TOP 10 Special Damage Potential 3.3. TOP 10 Allrounders 3.4. Speed Calculated with base speed + 31 IVs only. 4. OU Defense Results 4.1. TOP 5 Physical Walls 4.2. TOP 5 Special Walls 4.3. TOP 5 Mixed Walls 4.4. Worst Defenders
10. Why hello again! I am making the WIP guide so that it get's the process rolling for me. This guide will be extremely basic and will just get the player to breed their first pokemon. It will make the assumption that they know just about nothing about Pokemon.

14. Hello and welcome to my guide on how to farm berries since you can't buy them anymore since the last update. Unlike the original games in which you plant Berries to get more Berries, MMO works different. Well actually, it works the same, but MMO likes to let you waste more money and time but whatever. Here you'll have to harvest seeds from berries so you can plant them, and to harvest seeds you need a Harvesting Tool, and to get that you'll have to buy them from the nice lady for 500$ each. Before you can start you'll need to get some berries, from either GTL or Kanto. The best way to get them is Berry Forest since they regrow there. Where does our Farmville adventure start? That shall be Route 104. Why? It's easily the most efficient place to farm at since it has spot for 11 plants. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Table of content: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Requirements: - A Harvesting Tool. - Money to buy that Harvesting Tool. - Time. How/Where to get the Harvesting Tool? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How to start: This my matey is dependent on what berry you want. You'll have to get different seed combo's to get a certain Berry. But to start you'll need to Harvest a berry with the Harvesting tool. You can either get one of these. 18. Hello! And welcome to my first ever guide. This is currently a work on progress, so expect some errors or missed information. Lets start off with the level cap PokeMMO currently has for none gift Pokemon during your adventure. This means the pokemobn can not go a lever over the cap, or it stops listening. This is the current obedience levels:
0-15 1-20 2-30 3-40 4-50 5-60 6-70 7-80 8-100(all)
BUT this has an expetion. Gift Pokemon to not follow this, which means it can be any level at any time in the game, and it will still listen. Gift Pokemon is Pokemon either Pokemon given to you by NPC's or traded by NPC's. For example: For a starter, you can either choose: Bulbasaur Charmander Squirtle In Hoenn : Treeco Torchic Mudkip All of these, will have a gift ribbon when you pick one at the start of the game. That means you can just forget about the level cap rules for starters. But using only 1 starter throughout the entire story can either be hard or more time consuming? It is, but there is also a way to use other Pokemon, then just starters. Traded Pokemon from NPC's will also be gift pokemon.
19. Hello there guys, welcome to my EV Training and IV Info guide. If this is your first time reading this and you maybe new so if that is the case then please click here to have a good understanding of what EV's are. First up is the EV's training (In depth) info.
Now as I presume most of you reading know, there are 510 EV's that can be added onto a Pokemon, the maximum is a 252 limit on one stat which is equivalent to a total of 63 considering for every 4 EV's on one stat it shall rise by 1 point, However...Maybe you knew this, maybe you didn't, for example if I had an Adamant (+Attack -Special attack) Heracross and I EV trained it in Attack and Speed so a Spread of 252Attack and 252Speed Heracross's Attack wouldn't go up by 63, it would go up to 69 as It's Attack + Nature Helps it grow extremely more than the average, where as Speed would still only gain 63 due to the fact of Heracross not having any + Speed bonus in it's Nature Where as if instead I took it all off Attack and put it all on Special attack (Dumb idea to do so just saying), then the maximum points added on would be 57 and not 69 so between these two differences there is a difference of 12 points as Adamant's special property is increasing the Attack stat of the user by +10% as it grows but Adamant's negative property is reducing the user's Special attack by -10%. Now for those of you who play competitive level 50 Battling you may or may not have noticed that the stat you put 252 EV's in has not risen by 63/69/57 this is because the Pokemon actually gains more of it as it Progresses on with growing (leveling up) I'm positive (correct me if I'm wrong) that Pokemon level 50 or under being EV trained or not will only gain half the points from 252 EV's and not the full 63/69/57 this is actually also most likely why level 50 Pokemon's IV's are not always accurate due to the fact that the Pokemon is still growing.
I sincerely hope you found this helpful if not then I'm very sorry. Next up is the IV explanation Process and my extensive finds over the time I've played competitive battling.
So IV's are very complicated things to get your head round at first, but once you've took the time to explore them it's very simple. So for starters as you may or may not know of course every single Pokemon to existence has IV's and they are all different, IV's consist of a range from 0 to 31 The more closer a stat's IV is to 31 the better...However, IV's can change just by putting some EV's on the Pokemon, Sometimes they can change for better and sometimes they can change for worse there isn't really an accurate way to get the perfect Pokemon. Now for those doing level 100 Pokemon battling, you may or may not know this but IV's consist as a single digit at that level for example. If I had a Impish Skarmory level 100 It's IV's where brilliant and fantastic (Basically godly) but if you configured around with the EV's on Skarmory and took for example 4 off Defense (It has 31 Defense IV) and it's base stat was 350 and then the IV reduced by 1, it would become 349. I don't why it's like this but it's through a lot of time working with 50's and 100's and 50's are especially more hard to get around considering a lot of people struggle with finding a 50's Hidden power because the IV's are not accurate at that level, now I think for every 2 IV's the stat goes up by the Base stat rises by 1 (I've always thought this was because it's due to the fact that it's half the level until it's fully grown). IV's will always be a complicated thing, for finding out a Pokemon's IV's you can use Psypokes IV calculator or there are a couple of automatic IV calculator''s that have been made for everybody's use on the forums
Like I said Hope you found that helpful, sorry if you didn't I'll admit myself it came as a huge shock to me when I tried to learn about all this but it all eventually soaks in. Thanks for reading hope this helped you and hope you all enjoy yourselves :) If you would like to discuss any further details then PM me or Add me in game IGN: hydroimpact
20. Fast Leveling Guide/Properly Level Your Pokemon Okay so lets get started. This guide was mainly made to help noobs get started on training their Pokemon. This guide is made for a balance of fast leveling and proper leveling. To start lets have a brief talk about IVs,EVs, and Natures of Pokemon. Individual Values Individual Values, or better known as "IVs", function like Pokemon Genes. They are Pokemon traits, every Pokemon has different IVs which will decide how "Good" or "Bad" a Pokemon is. Every stat has an IV range of 0-31 for each stat (HP,ATT,DEF,SPT,SPD,SPE). and at level 100 the IVs are added to the Pokemon stats for their total values. For example: A Pokemon with no effort values and 0 IVs will have 310 HP. However if they have 31 IVs they will have 341 HP which makes a big difference. IVs are going to be an important part in this guide so pay attention to them. Make sure your Pokemon has the right IVs before you start training it, you don't want to train a pokemon with bad IVs. Effort Values Most trainers at this point understand what Effort Values are better known as "EVs". However, I will explain them anyway. Effort Values are the effort points you obtain after defeating certain Pokemon. All Pokemon give different Effort Points. To see a Pokemon EV yield you can simply check the Pokedex or simply look it up on the internet. Note: When you look it up on Pokedex you must have the Pokemon caught to see the EV yield. It is always up to the trainer to decide which effort points they want. A Pokemons max Effort Value is 252 in a single stat. You can make a maximum of 2 stats 252 Effort points. However, a Pokemons max Effort Value points are "510" It takes a really long time to EV train, and will possibly waste a lot of time while trying to train your Pokemon fast. I advise you to do this last. To restart Effort Value points you can buy EV reducing berries at the "Saffron City Mart" They each cost $1000 in-game money. These are the berries and the stats they reduce: Pomeg Berry - Lowers a Pokemons HP by 10 Evs. Kelpsy Berry - Lowers a Pokemons Attack by 10 Evs. Qualot Berry - Lowers a Pokemons Defense by 10 Evs. Hondew Berry - Lowers a Pokemons Special Attack by 10 Evs. Grepa Berry - Lowers a Pokemons Special Defense by 10 Evs. Tomato Berry - Lowers a Pokemon Speed by 10 Evs. These berries will also increase a Pokemons Happiness. (Good for the move Return) Natures Pokemon Natures are a very important part in beginning to train your Pokemon. Natures are far more important than Ivs trust me, they make a bigger difference. To see what the natures do on your Pokemon you can just hover over the Nature on your Pokemon Summary. "Right Click Pokemon > Hover Over Nature" However, if you don't know how to do that I will still list all the natures and what they do below. Hope that chart is easy to understand, would have took to long for me to type it all. Hopefully before you started to level your Pokemon you read everything above first! You need to make sure you have a good enough Pokemon to train before you just start training it. Im not saying it has to be perfect 6*31 Natured Ev trained. However, you do want to make sure it is a decent Pokemon. If you are interested in competetive battling and creative the perfect Pokemon for battling you can check This Guide. The guide I linked above will show you how to make the perfect competetive Pokemon. If you are planning on CatchMMO, and training a Pokemon just for fun. I would advise you to at least, check the Nature and make sure the IVs are Okay. When Should I Stop Leveling? This question is mostly asked by new gamers to Pokemmo. Well it's simple to answer. If you are interested in entering tournaments, make sure your Pokemon is EV trained and at least level 50. All tournament mode battle reduce Pokemon levels to"50" so their will be no need to waste your time reaching level 100. However, if your looking to finish the story, collect battle points, impress your friends, than I would advise you to train your Pokemon to Level 100. Note: "All Pokemon in the Trainer Tower are scaled to the level of the highest level Pokemon in your party" Note: "All Pokemon are set to level 50 in tournament mode" Note: "EV training is the most important and does take a lot of time" Note: "You can Buy Ev Points at Celadon Mart 5th floor, with steroids(Carbos,HP UP, zinc, etc.)" Note: "You Can Buy The Amnesia Brace In The Gift Shop To Make your ev experience more fun, or easier, cost 1500RP" Best Place To Level Fast? We have finally reached the last section. Hopefully you read over all the information above before you start leveling fast. Their are many ways to level fast, you can use the E4, Islands, Day Care, and Kanto Vs.Seeker. This is the sequence on leveling your Pokemon. To start off leveling you will need to do an elite 4 sweep. The Pokemon you are training must be holding an Exp.Share to gain exp after every battle. Let me put these steps in order: Step 1: Go to the Elite four and win while using exp.share on your training Pokemon. Step 2: While the Elite 4 is on Cooldown, go to islands 5-7 and use the Vs.Seeker and re-battle all the trainers. Step 3: After you are finished the islands go back to the elite 4 after cooldown and re do it. Step 4: While Elite 4 is on cooldown again, put your Pokemon in the daycare, he will receive 60% of the exp that is received after every battle. This is when you use the Vs.Seeker versus as much trainers as you can in the Kanto Region. If you do not have the Exp.Share than You can check the bottom for links to the item guide. Note: "The Lucky Egg is optional, as it is very rare and very expensive. I would advise you to buy one if you interested and not search, Chanseys have a 5% encounter rate and a 5% chance of holding the Lucky Egg, please do not waste your time searching." I hope this guide has helped you train up your Pokemon if you need help on where to obtain these items, just check below! Pokemon Locations & Held Items Guide Breeding Guide "Get yourself the Perfect Pokemon More Explained Ev training and Iv guide for further information Additional Information: 1. Vs.Seeker Cooldown is 6 hours. 2. E4 Cooldown is 30 Minutes. 3. You cannot use Vs.Seeker in Hoenn Region. 4. Lucky Egg is optional, and I would advise you to buy one instead of searching. 5. If you need money to breed use a persian with payday and amulet coin, while Vs.Seeker Run. 6. This guide can also help pros in a way, just depends. 7. Hope you Enjoy~
21. IVs IVs is short for Individual Values, but what are they? Simply put, they are a value from 0-31 that the pokemon are born with. They cannot be changed in any way. For each stat (HP, Atk, Def, Sp.Atk, Sp.Def, Speed) the pokemon will have an IV. This IV is part of what determines how high a stat can be. You don't need to worry about these calculations. All you need to know is that 31 is the best possible IV you can get, and the closer the IVs are to that number the better the pokemon is. If you want to go into more detail, then some IVs are good for some pokemon while others are good for others. For example, a pokemon who mainly use special moves don't need the atk stat. So there the atk IV doesn't matter. You would look at the sp. atk IV for those pokemon, and vise versa. People use a lot of time and money to breed pokemon with perfect IVs, as that is the only way to have any control over what IVs your pokemon will have. Since the latest update you will always see the exact IVs of any pokemon. EVs EVs is short for Effort Values. So what are these? EVs like IVs increase the stats of your pokemon. 4 EVs = 1 point in the respective stat, at level 100. But unlike IVs, you have perfect control over the EVs of your pokemon. EVs are earned when you defeat pokemon. Any pokemon that was in the battle at some point, or is holding an exp. share, will gain the EV. Your pokemon can gain 252 EVs in one stat, and 510 overall. So when people EV train a pokemon they usually focus on 2-3 stats which they want to enhance. EV training is done by simply fighting pokemon that gives the desired EV. You can see what EV a pokemon gives in the pokedex. EVs at level 50 (Advanced) As competitive battling happens at level 50 in PokeMMO, it is worth looking at the effects of EVs at this level. Basically, if you have an odd IV, the first 4 EVs = 1 stat point. After that you gain 1 stat point with every 8 EVs. So stat increases with 4/12/20/28/36/44 EVs and so forth. When you have an even IV, you just gain a stat point every 8 EVs. Good EV training spots/pokemon I will only list spots/pokemon that I find to be good. Of cause there are more than what I have listed. The rest can be found in the 'Full List's I have linked. HP Full List 2 EVs 3 EVs Marill and Azumarill are by fare the best for training HP EVs. They can be found by surfing in ponds in Hoenn. Best places are just north of Mauville City, or just east of Fortree City. Atk Full List 1 EV 2 EVs 2 EVs 1 EV 1 EV 2 EVs Fishing with a Super Rod in Fuchsia Cite, Kanto, is my personal favourite spot to train Atk EVs. You will fish up a lot of goldeen, seaking, and gyarados there. Just beware of the occasional psyduck or slowpoke. Another popular spot is the paras tunnels at Mt. Moon, Kanto, or fishing with a Super Rod just east of Mauville City, Hoenn. Def Full List 1 EV 2 EVs 2 EVs 1 EV The best place by fare is the Team Magma hideout at Mt. Chimney, hoenn, just east of Lavaridge Town. There you will find geodude, graveler, and torkoal only. Another popular spot is the tangela patch just south of Pallet Town, Kanto. Sp. Atk Full List 1 EV 2 EVs Best place to train sp. atk EVs is at the pokemon tower in Lavender Town, Kanto. You will have a higher chance of encountering haunter on the top floor. Sp. Def Full List 1 EV 2 EVs 1 EV Surf in any offshore water pretty much. You'll find Tentacool and Tentacruel anywhere. You can also use hoppip which have a 100% encounter rate at Memorial Pillar, Five Island, Kanto. Speed Full List 1 EV 2 EVs 1 EV 2 EVs 1 EV A very nice place is Scorched Slab, small cave east of Fortree City, Hoenn, where there is a 100% Golbat encounter rate. Another is surfing in the inner caves (past the waterfall) at Meteor Falls, west of Fallarbor Town, Hoenn. There you will encounter Golbat 90% of the time. You can also surf at Sootopolis City, Hoenn, which has a 100% Magikarp encounter rate. Maybe you'll get lucky and meet a shine while you train. For Kanto, a very popular spot is the diglett tunnel just east of Vermilion City, Kanto. Another place I like is on One Island, Kindle Road, Kanto. There you find spearow, fearow, ponyta, rapidash, meowth, and persian, who all give speed EVs. Lastly, a pokemon holding the Macho Brace will gain the double amount of EVs from battling. However, it also greatly lowers the speed of the pokemon holding it. It can be obtained at the house just north of Mauville City, Hoenn. And by using the item finder in Viridian City Gym, Kanto, at the spot where Giovanni stood. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ EV Reducing Berries Don't worry if you mess up the EV training of your pokemon. They can easily be removed again. This is done with berries. 1 berry will remove 10 EVs from its respective stat. Berries are grown in Loamy Soil around Hoenn, by using Seeds. To start growing berries, you need to visit the house on Route 104, south of Rustboro City, Hoenn. Natures Pokemon can have 25 different natures. 20 of these natures will cause a 10% increase to one stat, in return for a 10% decrease to another. The remaining 5 will not cause any stat changes. The 25 Natures As seen from the scheme some natures are better for specific pokemon than others. For example, a pokemon going for atk but not sp. atk would be best off with an adamant nature, and a modest nature would be really bad for this pokemon. It's important to take the nature into consideration, when deciding the value of a pokemon. Breeding Breeding in Pokemmo is a little different from breeding in the normal games. The biggest different being that you will not get the parent pokemon back. You pretty much trade them for the egg, so make sure you won't regret it later. The two places you can breed is on Four Island, Kanto, and on route 117, between Mauville City and Verdanturf Town, Hoenn. When you breed, the pokemon will always turn out the same as the female. There are of cause a few exceptions to this. If you breed your pokemon with a ditto, the egg will never turn out as ditto, but always the other pokemon you used. Ditto can breed with both male and female pokemon but not with itself. If you breed two shiny pokemon, then the egg will always be shiny. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There are different items you can make your pokemon hold when you breed. These will help you make sure that a specific IV or nature is passed down to the offspring. These items are a one time use, and are consumed in the breeding process. There are three kinds of items used in breeding: Braces The first is the braces. There is one brace for each stat, HP, Atk, Def, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, and Speed. When a pokemon hold one of these, it will pass down the IV specified by the brace to the egg without fail. If you just breed two pokemon without braces, three IVs of the parents will be passed down directly to the egg. The others will be the average of the stats. Thus, by using braces you can decide which two of the three stats should be passed down, instead of it being random. Braces can be bought from an NPC inside the daycare center for $10000 each. Everstones The 2nd is everstones. These are used to make sure a specific nature is passed down to the egg. In short, if you make the female pokemon hold an everstone, the egg will have the same nature as the mother. If you breed without an everstone, the nature will be completely random, no matter what natures the parents may have. Everstones can be found on wild Geodude and Graveler. Ability Capsule The 3rd is the ability capsule. It can be used to change the ability of a pokemon, if it has more than one possible ability. An example of this could be Growlithe. It can have both Intimidate or Flash Fire as it's ability. So if after breeding it doesn't have the ability that you wish for, you can change it with the ability capsule. There is an 80% chance that the egg will inherit the ability of the mother. Ability capsules can be bought from an NPC inside the daycare center for $35000 each. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When you start the breed, an interface will pop up. Here you're asked to drag the two pokemon you wish to breed. Left and right you see the mother and father pokemon, and in the middle the offspring and what species it will be. For the offspring you can see the IVs. The green IVs are those locked with braces. You can hover over the rest of the IV ranges to see the % chance of the IVs possible. Next is the list of moves the offspring will inherit from the parents. Moves in green are those which are inherited. Then there is the nature. If none of the parent pokemon are holding an everstone, this will be random. So if you're satisfied you press "Breed". Gender Cost When you receive the egg, you can choose which gender it should have for a fee. If you intend to breed it further, it is advised to make it female to make it easier for yourself. ____________________________________________________ % chance for female | Cost of male | Cost of female 75% | $9000 | $5000 50% | $5000 | $5000 25% | $5000 | $9000 12.5% | $5000 | $21000 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Egg Groups For two pokemon to be able to breed, they must be from the same egg group. Again, ditto is an exception as it can breed with everything but itself. You can see the different egg groups here: Monster Field Grass Water 1 Water 2 Water 3 Dragon Bug Flying Mineral Fairy Human-Like Amorphous The above are the normal egg groups, but there are also three special ones: Ditto > Contains only ditto. Can breed with any other egg group but it's own. Genderless > Can only breed with ditto. They may still be found in other groups, but the ditto rule still apply. Always check if the pokemon you're planning to breed is in this group. Undiscovered > Cannot breed at all. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Finally if you want to learn how to breed the perfect 6x31 pokemon I would suggest that you read this guide: 6x31 Breeding Guide So good luck to you all and have fun! :) Thanks to:
22. This is a guide to farming Ditto's easily. Ditto is one of the most unique Pokemon in the game as it can transform into their enemies Pokemon. The other use for Ditto is for breeding, which is extremely useful. You can also get into the Ditto trade market and sell Ditto's you catch. Requirements: Must have at least gotten to the Elite 4. (You can catch them before this, but a lot of stuff will be easier in this guide.) A little bit of cash to create your Ditto Dummy. A level 70+ main Pokemon (Cerulean Cave) Surf HM (Cerulean Cave) Creating a Ditto Dummy: The idea behind this is to create the most useless Pokemon as far as Moveset. I'm sure there's many Pokemon you can do this with, but the best I've found that's pretty common is Abra+ Another thing to note is you don't want a Pokemon like Kakuna because if they "struggle" it hurts you. First you want to get an Abra or higher evolution that isn't worth anything as far as IV's/Nature. They can be found pretty easily around Route 25. Mean Look helps capture them. Now you want to change the Moveset to this: 1. Attract Always get attract since Ditto is gender-less it will fail 100% of the time. Location: Celadon Department Store 2. Sunny Day This is a good pick since we will be using Marowak this won't affect us at all. Location: Three Isle / Cinnabar Island 3. Rain Dance Another great pick since it can be used multiple times and doesn't affect Marowak. Location: Two Isle 4. Calm Mind This increases your Sp. Def & Sp. Attack, but since False Swipe is a normal move this doesn't matter. Level 33 learned move. Don't level up if you don't have this yet, there are other options below. 5. Light Screen This increases Sp. Def, since False Swipe is a normal move this doesn't matter. Locations: Celadon Department Store/Vermillion 6. HM Flash This decreases the accuracy of the enemy. This is a last resort move as this is the only move that is actually negative. Location: Prof. Aide at least 10 Pokemon caught. Exit of Diglett Cave south of Route 2. Getting the ability to lower health to 1 HP. Next you want to get a Pokemon to False Swipe. False Swipe is a move that will damage the enemy down to 1 HP without killing them. Smeargle can make enemies Sleep and False Swipe, but he has a low encounter rate at the Altering Cave and IV's can be a pain. Marowaks can be found easy for just False Swipe: First you want to fly to the Elite 4 building and then go south. Enter the cave at the bottom and just start looking for Marowak's to capture by the exit. Generally you want a Marowak with good Attack and Speed. I try to get that one that has around 27+ Attack and 25+ Speed. If the Marowak you capture doesn't have False Swipe you'll have to make it relearn it at the move tutor. Have a Pokemon that can make enemies sleep. You want to make sure you have a good Pokemon with a Sleep move if you aren't using a Smeargle. Gengar with hypnosis is really good since he's so fast. Gastly's can be found easily in Lavender Town Tower. Supplies: Plenty of Pokeballs Your Ditto Dummy A Pokemon that can False Swipe A Pokemon that can make enemies sleep Exp Share is extremely useful Some Max Repels An Escape Rope (Cerulean Cave) A level 70+ Pokemon (Cerulean Cave) A Pokemon with Surf HM (Cerulean Cave) Ditto Locations: Route 13 - Encounter rate: 5% Route 14 - Encounter rate: 15% (The little patch just south of the bird maze in the trees.) Route 15 - Encounter rate: 5% Cinnabar Mansion Basement - Encounter rate: 10% (I would go over how to get to the basement, but there's no point since Route 14 is easier to get to and has a higher rate.) Cerulean Cave - Encounter rate: 25% This is by far the best method if you beat the game. You have to have all islands unlocked and did the sapphire and ruby gems. To get to the Cerulean Cave Ditto room with the highest encounter rate you will want to use a Max Repel and use Surf until you get here:

How to set up your party and catch Ditto: The first thing you're going to want is your highest level Pokemon in the front of your party. I encourage killing all other Pokemon instead of escaping since Exp Share can give a lot of Exp, especially in Cerulean Cave. Once you encounter a Ditto in battle switch to your Abra. The Ditto will transform into him and then you can switch to your Marowak. If your Marowak is only around level 50 or so and the Ditto is like level 67 you can do stronger attacks before doing False Swipe. Once the Ditto is down to 1 HP switch to your Pokemon with sleep. Make the Ditto sleep and keep throwing Pokeballs at it until you catch it. Congrats you are now a Ditto hunting master!
