Hi, is my first time doing a guide here. Please tell me if I need to improve something. The Vaporeon and Forretress, they gave me an idea how to make this farm but i investigate and calculate the better way to use Swarm or Illuminate and add Lure too. I hope this farm helps you, if you find any benefits or questions, please let me know. Pros The ability Swarm / Illuminate and lure Increases the chance of encounters by 20%, which makes the Ditto encounter faster. With lure there is a chance of double encounters and these can have Ditto. For example, If the encounter had been a miltank you would escape, but since it is a double another Ditto may appear accompanying it, which increases its appearance. When there is a double encounter, farming is not ruined if 2 identical pokes are used, the Ditto transforms into any of the 2 and can be captured equally. (U-turn can kill the other wild poke in the same way) There is a chance of a chansey appearing, which may have an oval stone (3k) and a lucky egg (50k+). If you are just farming Ditto while searching for legendaries, it is faster due to the speed of the encounters. If you find a Shiny, you have other hunters on the team, such as Semeargle or Breloom, which will make it possible to capture it without fear. You have 3 options to choose from to breed, with different iv's and natures to find different breeders in the GTL. (Beedrill, Volbeat and Ledian) CONS The capture ratio is 98% Normally, 1 ditto can escape on average for 1 box. There is very little chance that U-turn will deal critical damage, but there is a chance. It's ultra rare, but the ditto can wake up after 1 turn and hit or kill you depending on which hunter you have. The next Pokes are especific for a lvl. 37 Dittos with Lure in Johto, calculated not to kill the worst of the Dittos (Iv 0). If you dont use Lure the wild ditto between lvl. 33 - lvl. 35, U-turn may kill this dittos, please don't forget to use Lure. This suggestion is simple, enable bikes to be used in the Johto Safari Zone. It would make encounters so much more pleasant to get, as running back and forth with the encounter rate in the safari is very slow and annoying, especially on mobile. This is a feature in the base game, I'm not sure why it isn't in PokeMMO. 🙏 for all my safari shunters out there

Hi, i just finished the Johto's league, meet with professor Oak at the port but still can't go to Mt. Silver to fight Red or go to Kanto (Johto's Kanto). I there's something else i need to do?

This strategy allows you to get extra income when Ditto farming taking advantage of Payday. PROS 1 Pokémon used per catch. No switching needed. Don't need to track PP of 2 Pokémons. Just your lead Pokémon 96 max Dittos per run (If you make 6 total) Extra income (400 to 450 yen) with every catch/non-ditto encounter Faster catch. Switching animation takes longer. Takes advantage of Net Ball's 3.5x catch rate. Can now be used in Johto and Hoenn - Thanks to @ddnodollar for finding this out. CONS Payday may crit resulting to fail catch Not recommended when you encounter shiny ditto May need to use awakening (in case enemy ditto uses yawn + catch fail but chance of this happening is very low, also income from payday greatly overshadows this expense) I created this strategy because I don't like switching Pokémon and I see myself tracking 2 Pokémon's PP summary window when I use the Foretress strategy. As title says. I would like to suggest matching the johto e4 level cap to the previously lowest one (56). I have a team made specifically for all prior e4 at lvl 56 (and I'm sure others do too) that I always mail to my alts when I get to that point. For balancing purposes one level wouldn't make a difference. I know this seems insignificant but know it would definitely help some people out at no cost to the johto end-game balance. I know there are other players maintaining similar teams for the same purpose. So I hope you will at least consider it. ^^

When you are farming one particular area of the Johto Safari to reenter you have to always reselect the place you want to visit. Would be a great quality of life feature for the last visited area be at the top of the list. Example you're hunting Lapras at the Rocky Beach. Your safari steps run out and you reenter only to be in the wrong location. Yes it's only $500 yen but quality of life is why we all love this game. Hope to see this change 🙂

I know it's been mentioned before that the rate is somewhere between 1/1000 and 1/7000 or something along those lines. I've been going left, and right on Route 45 for a couple of days now. I've gone through 400 Expert Lures and mathed out that I get an average of 24 encounters per lure, which can be rounded down a bit since it includes 5x horde encounters and double encounters, but for the sake of argument, let's use that 24/lure. 24x400 lures equals out to 9600 encounters, so I'd estimate I'm somewhere near the higher end of that encounter range statistic. Now, maybe I'm unlucky, but this method of hunting isn't particularly fun...If I'm focused on doing these as fast as possible, I can probably get 1000 encounters in somewhere between 60 and 90 minutes. So I've spent probably around 9 or 10 hours exclusively holding down 2 arrow keys and occasionally clicking "Run" in search of Suicune before it resets and becomes Raikou next month. Obviously, I'm in the majority that thinks this encounter rate needs to be tweaked, whatever it is. However, I also think it's important to know for the sake of attaching value to Legendary Lures; 3 of which are worth more than 150 Expert Lures - and it's important to know that encounter rate to understand how much of an improvement 30% actually is. I think that helps players both understand and temper their expectations for purchasing something so expensive. Hope to get some clarification here. Edit because I realized the 30% increase is stated in the Legendary Lure.

I'm looking for some of the best spots to Pickup/Thief/Pay Day farm mostly. I've been shiny hunting Wooper on rt 32 from the Union Cave pc (lvls 18-22) and will occasionally get Poison Barbs, Timer Balls, and Rindo Berries. (also maybe a regular lure and a regular pokeball?) but I was wondering if there was a better spot to pickup farm in Johto currently? (Also not including Mt. Silver as I only started like 2 weeks ago sadly)

After I defeated mahogany town gym leader i am suposed to go to the radio tower but there are no rocket grunts anywhere in the town, and I dont know what to do.

Sooo, I was looking in the forum for some info on the Johto safari zone, and the only thing I found is a comment of a moderator of the forum, if I remember correctly, about some encounters in each area that change every in-game day, while others are always present. For example you can find Riolu in the meadow on Friday and Saturday during day, for what I've experienced. I'm filling an excel file for each area with the encounters on each in-game day (divided in morning, day and night) to try understanding what pokemon are available and more importantly WHEN they are available, but I have a question: the encounter that changes every in-game day is fixed or is it random? For example in the meadow area, every Friday you can find Riolu, while in the other days you will find another pokemon and these encounter, although changing every day, they remain the same. Because if these in-game day encounters are random, well, all this work is useless and it would be better of only the available pokemon for each area that changes. Does anyone have informations on this?

Is Mt. Silver still gated by 16 gym badges if I use the HGSS Roms? and Will I transport between the two regions to finally reach the elite 4, or will this function like a regular single region game with everything accessible, just all the features from HGSS and the updated gen stats? Also, I noticed that the Team Rocket stuff is a bit different this game like they're not in the radio tower in GoldenRod, is that by design or a bug? Finally, I can't use the poketech to communicate with all the numbers that I store, is that disabled for the region? Sorry for spamming these questions, I've just been super confused and haven't found any answers yet.
