Can you get the fossils from any rock smash Pokemon, or only specific rocks? And what are the odds that they'll be holding it? I wanna know if I should bother trying to farm one for my playthrough. EDIT: I found both fossils in the cave to the left of the first gym. It didn't take too long, so they don't seem too uncommon (maybe 5-10%).

I know that day and night work, but I don't want to have to wait for that if I can avoid it. I just want to know what eevee will evolve into if I level it during morning/evening so I know if I have to wait until the next time slot.

So if I level up eevee during morning or evening it won't evolve at all?

Pretty much the title. I want to get an Umbreon, but I'm not sure whether mornings/evenings count as day or night.

My friends and I have been playing and struggling through the game, but when we reached the Elite 4 we just had to give up completely. At least with all the other battles we could just throw ourselves against the trainers, defeat a couple of their pokemon each time until we levelled enough to win, but we can't even do that against the elite 4 because we need to wait 40 minutes between attempts. None of us could be bothered doing the hours of grinding it would take to even begin to attempt it otherwise so we were forced to give up and just go to the next region. So why is there a time limit on the elite 4? I could maybe understand it for victories if it gives you money or something, but all it would mean for us is that we'd have one attempt and then play a different game for 40 minutes while waiting for our next attempt.

https://imgur.com/a/rdHsy I just caught a shiny Tympole :) I'm glad the name said shiny in it. It was only the second tympole I've ever seen (the first belonging to N), so I probably wouldn't have noticed without that.

I know the one in Unova would work, I was hoping for there to also be a way to do it in the other regions. I'm currently doing a Kanto playthrough with my friends and I have a magneton in my party. I don't exactly want to go to Unova just to evolve it.

Have any special magnetic zones been added for Kanto or Hoenn? ORAS has New Mauville as one, and I think the Power Plant would work fine in Kanto if it isn't already.
