  1. Yeah, but after they implement gen 4 I believe it will pretty hard to make progress, as 3ds emulation is still not easy.. Hopefully we'll see some improvements then.
  2. Yeah, looking back in the older threads I dont think the staff's arguments were good at all, and there plenty of ways to solve the """problem""" but they just didn't want to :( . I hope they do reconsider through, given how cool the concept is.
  3. Because you would just use the secret base instead of buying Leppas. Its their excuse at least (idk if its justified or not, since I've been away for a while)
  4. Hey. since Platinum is to be released soon (TM), I've been looking back to this game after a long time. Thinking back, I believe Secret Bases are one of the coolest features ever introduced in a Pokemon game, and it at least seemed like they would be even more interesting in a multiplayer like PokeMMO, but they just aren't, because they are still about the same as they were in vanilla: small, and with almost no utility. They are no good even for afking, I'd rather do it in any Pokemon Center because they have a PC. I know that this has been discussed before, and never was done (adding a PC to bases, that is) because it would make secret bases OP by making farming easier/cheaper etc. I dont know how to solve the problem and thats why this post isn't a suggestion, but I believe some thought should be given, as it is such a cool feature that is almost useless in its current state.
  5. With Platinum being implemented, we should have acess to all mons from gen 1-5. That being said, are there any plans on implementing HG/SS at some point, even through it wont add any new mons?
  6. When I last played this game, they said the priority was to implement legendary dungeons, but they're not out yet and they're implementing a new region before that. Did they change priorities? I didn't expect Sinnoh.
  7. Kanto because its the first region that was released, then Hoenn, and then Unova.
  8. Name Change Tickets are uguu expensive, so I dont want to purchase one and then notice that I cant choose the name I want because its already taken. Can a mod or GM help me with that, please? Or is there any other way to check without attempting to create a new char? Thanks in advance
  9. I'd go with KizunaAi any day, as I love 2D girls.
  10. Just a question, but why are were you guys considering banning him while Machamp and Heracross are UU? What make this guy so much better? Is the extra 10 base attack that big of a deal or is it because of Mach Punch?
  11. paying 2k for each, looking to buy in a bulk
  12. Hey, since I'm trying to come back and dont know about whats popular right now, can anyone share teams that have been working lately? Any suggestions are welcome
  13. Skarmory and Ferrothorn can check most mons on this team through, and Mag can take care of these, but I'll listen to you and get a dusclops, as I feel like I also need a spinblocker
  14. Reuniclus? Do you think I should cut Magnezone or Gliscor for this, or maybe even Ferrothorn? Skarmory / Ferrothorn seem to be troublesome without Mag, and Gliscor is interesting but I didn't try it yet. I'm guessing Ferrothorn is required to take care of bulky water types such as Slowbro?.
  15. Idk what acrogem is, but Sand Veil can be really annoying in sand, I'll at least test it for a while. Agreed on the rest through, thanks for the suggestions.
  16. LF advice on my sandstorm team, I haven't played PokeMMO in a year or so so idk what's trending right now, but I used to really like sand teams in BW OU years ago. Hippowdon @ Leftovers Ability: Sand Stream EVs: 252 HP / 6 Def / 252 SpD Careful Nature IVs: 21 Spe - Slack Off - Stealth Rock - Whirlwind - Earthquake Tyranitar @ Lum Berry Ability: Sand Stream EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Adamant Nature - Dragon Dance - Crunch - Rock Slide - Earthquake Excadrill @ Life Orb Ability: Sand Rush EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Iron Head - Rapid Spin - Rock Slide - Earthquake Ferrothorn @ Leftovers Ability: Iron Barbs EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SpD Relaxed Nature IVs: 0 Spe - Spikes - Leech Seed - Power Whip - Gyro Ball Gliscor @ Leftovers Ability: Sand Veil EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD Impish Nature - Toxic - Substitute - Protect - Earthquake Magnezone @ Choice Scarf Ability: Magnet Pull EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Volt Switch - Hidden Power [Fire] - Thunderbolt - Flash Cannon
  17. Well I always read them and talk to everyone on my first playthrough (not only in PokeMMO), it adds a lot to the experience and adds some immersion to the game (IMO). While its true that you can just google all of it, if they (the devs) actually want to teach new players about comp, they really should give hints on this stuff during the playthrough. It shouldn't tell you that, it should tell you that your chansey has a slight boost to speed and debuff to sp. def, but whether this is good or not its up to the player to tell That would help, but its better to teach them little by little than to just throw a lot of information at them, there's no way they'll learn all of it at once. Of course, they need experience to actually get good, my suggestion is about teaching the basics.
  18. tfw I really want to play the game for the first time in 2 years and the server is down
  19. My suggestion is to add NPCs that tell the player some concepts required for competitive playing and other late-game content (such as breeding), but that most people that just got into the game don't know. They should be at acessible places (such as pokemon centers), and their dialog should be like: "Did you know that some pokémon natures can raise a stat, but also lower another?" "My Hitmonlee has an ADAMANT nature, who needs special attacks anyway" similar ones could also be done about IVs, EVs, optimal movesets, breeding, etc, etc.
  20. I agree 100%. Harder storyline was a pain in the ass at first, but I'm okay with it now that I beat Unova (I wont touch e4 anyway). However, its not right saying its teaching players anything, because all they have to do is get every mon to the level cap and they'll still be fine, as long as they didn't bring 6 fire-types or something. The added difficulty is just a money and time sink. Some may enjoy the challenge, but for others (me included) its just an annoyance that they have to deal with before they get to play the real game. IMO something that would be really helpful (I'll write a suggestion about it if no1 else did) is to add NPCs in-game that tells the player what IVs and EVs are, that physical attacks use the atk stat, and special ones the sp. atk stat, etc.
