  3. Huge Loss for the pvp community. I'm glad we shared the pleasure as teammates and as rivals at times. Best of luck to you in your next chapter.
  4. But on a real note tho, Dugtrio doesn't add anything competitively other than the existence of a a boring style which relies heavily of trapping Tyranitar to prevent sand from killing Shedinja which is immune to many typings. One part of the chain goes weak and that whole team gets thrown under the bus. Good day for Tyranitar users
  5. Yeah thank you for wasting 2 hours of my day with this bug, much appreciated. https://streamable.com/s3gsn5
  6. I understand that all of what you just mentioned are considered faster than qwilfish and can phase it out, but you’re forgetting that this is a valuable argument if we are talking about a 1v1 position not a 6vs6. I’ve played qwilfish multiple times myself. It isnt a wallbreaker nor a mon that should be bought early game. It’s a mid to late game cleanser and bringing it early to the field defies its purpose. Also with black sludge it somewhat gains survivability to be brought once or twice in certain positions not necessarily to sweep but to intimidate for example and switch out until its time comes. It needs support too not like its a mon that can do the whole job on its own and I’m not ashamed of saying this the amount if times I lost almost win games while facing qwilfish was disgusting due to the scenarios where it has all boxes checked for it to sweep correctly. And you do know that you have to make sacrifices sometimes because you’re obviously not countering or reacting to it alone but to other 5 mons including it. can setup vs escavlier/all fighting types that get locked ir don’t have super effective moves/bronzor/golbat/ any intimidated mon which is either locked on a move or is outside a 1hko range from qwill after intimidation and is slower. And yes im not saying ban it but atleast consider some nerfs or gunk shot removal or sd removal or whatever. I know it’s not gonna get touched anyway but im just if im the only one who thinks it’s just too much lately or not
  7. I'm curious about the idea that it's reserved exclusively for Pokémon that need to be banned from OU. It seems like if such a rule exists, there might be instances where it's not strictly followed. I've noticed some situations where the same individuals involved in creating these rules sometimes seem to deviate from them. It could be interesting to explore how these rules are applied consistently. "Coughs in Gallade and Shaymin"
  8. I really didn't have the energy to answer this but reading the replies that people think Qwilfish isn't a strong mon in NU currently is not true. Go ahead explain to me why Qwilfish has this win percentage if its not strong in NU currently? If you want to counter it you legit have to either play balance/stall Quagsire which is a mon that doesn't fit offensive playstyles or even Slowbro if chipped can be in a +2 gunk shot range. Gunk Shot gen9 move?! if it wasn't there probably this would've been a different discussion what are the checks? Qwilfish Impish vs Qwilfish SD? who wins that one? Only legit answers that gain safety without specific items are Ferroseed/Quagsire/Sceptile anything else can be threatened with SD and setting it up isn't hard, and you can do it against many mons, and let's not forget the amount of mons that can be in good range of +2 aqua jet. Any other scarfer can be in range of it and die. Gunk shot is a no contact move and avoids rocky helmet aswell. Forcing players to use a specific playstyle/teams to feel safe against it is overpowered. +2 252+ Atk Qwilfish Aqua Jet vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Mismagius: 91-108 (66.9 - 79.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO +2 252+ Atk Qwilfish Aqua Jet vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Rotom: 76-90 (60.8 - 72%) -- guaranteed 2HKO No hard feelings everyone is entitled to their opinion
  9. I'm not sure if im the crazy one here, but when are we going to start a Qwilfish NU discussion?
  10. No it definitely has nothing to do with deciding to keep it in Draco or not, but for it's the longest time UU seem to have stabilized and to shape up. The butterfly effect of Draco Meteor is just a beginning of making things to shift and change again. If Hydreigon didn't get Draco I doubt Empo would be even mentioned beneath this topic, and trust me I couldn't care less about what happens in UU
  11. After numerous thoughts and considerations I believe Draco Meteor has no place in MMO especially Choice Specs damages. It's just absurd and insane hitting everything on big damages if it's not named Chansey/Blissey/Empoleon. A scarf/life orb Draco Meteor can be somewhat handled with AV Mienshao/Tyranitar or "Steel Resistances", but the specs is just huge damages that you can't recover from. Most players prefer immediate damage with Specs rather than setting up and going for 50/50's. Also something that some people might not be keeping an eye on is the slight increase in usage of Empoleon in OU it's currently sits at 3.09%. Give it another month, and more players would recognize Empoleon as a huge answer to Hydreigon and it will rise up to OU. Empoleon is a core mon in UU and it going back to OU will cause to UU. If y'all want to savour some headache from the future with UU Shifting and mons dropping to NU due to team changes and usages I think handling the core problem "Draco Meteor" would be the best outcome. not nerfing not removing nasty plot or any of these ideas
  12. I mean it's clearly obvious that PvE will always be prioritized since it has the largest scale of players. Gotta pray a hero emerges from the dark and makes one instead
  13. Hello everyone, I'm not sure if this topic has been discussed in the past, but in my opinion, I think it would greatly improve the PvP experience in the game. Some might disagree from the perspective that this would make our PvP similar to showdown. My response to that is scrolling through hundreds of players spectating the game and leaving while trying to count Roosts, for example, or any move in a long stall game, can be extremely annoying and misleading. This is sometimes due to the confusion of everything being written in the Battle Tab in yellow and orange. I'm not sure if the devs can add this as a feature in the future or if it has to be a tool made by a knowledgeable community member, but either way, whoever does it is much appreciated. Thank you.
  14. Amazing post regardless if some sets are personal preferences this is still a great guide for beginners because it's very simple and very informative to new pvp players. Great job
