now thats how you ruin tiering!! the assumption that an untiered pokemon will rise to OU as a reason to place it there is straight up stupid. the pokemon has a niche but its nowhere near that level. and we ve already done that with multiple other pokemons which might not even end up in OU. and we give the reasoning that "yes people are gonna use those" to let those pokemons jump 1-2-3 tiers at once?thats the whole reason of usage placement in this game. to determine what should be where. We give pokemons 0 chance of going up naturally, disrupt the lower tiers in the way we take away new stuff that could be easily used there and give 0 motive or reasons for players to play lower tiers with the addition of HAs. and we force said tier to die AGAIN!! now we got 0 magic bouncers in the lower tiers for 2 months at least for absolutely no reason. idk how these people think and vote but the assumption of "ye i would use it there" doesnt make a pokemon worthy of being placed in that tier! Xatu is a pokemon that belongs to NU stat wise and has a niche that can be used in higher tiers. if said niche makes people wanna spam it in OU its their issue. if that argument stood then we should move up into OU pokemons like golbat aswell. the niche doesnt mean that said pokemon will have 5% usage there. it means that its gonna appear in some teams. reconsider this placement now. you guys are ruining lower tiers for everyone, terrible decisions

ban porygon Z. its most viable check has left the tier. we cant be playing sand just to stop porygonZ. it becomes too centralising now with the even more limited checks with empoleon gone. it shouldnt even be tested. its plain and simple

So in the first 2 options we have 10 teams and in the third option we have 12 teams but we get 6 standard teams+2 from the donations. How do we get the other 4 teams?

What I want to know more is the selection process for the teams. I think the 4 choices are not very clear, or at least to me. So I cannot fully understand how the 12 teams will be selected

If a +2 does around half HP, with Venusaur you set up when Snorlax comes in, you hit it fro 50% and under sun it kills you with a fire punch. And that's the end of the argument. It doesn't go to sleep. If opposing snorlax has been put under pressure before that and went to sleep that's not on Venusaur being really strong, but because of other factors that played out in the game. But yes as people said , Venusaur will rise to OU so no point discussing it more. Just pointing out that claiming Venusaur is broken because it beats Snorlax is wrong, it doesn't beat Snorlax.

You still didn't answer the first question which is vital. Cause if you run sleep powder on Venusaur itself you lose your ability to sweep

You have completely missed the point. Gb has played the game for 10 years and has proven himself that when it comes to hosting he can place rules and follow them. And even in previous events there were question marks. Now you have an unknown player with the only info you have for him is that they manipulate matchmaking. And they are hosting the event. How will you lure players to play this event? You already missed a whole country attending just by that. You will end up making a show that has 2 china 2 Argentina and stuff like that just because these countries have many players. And not nessecarily good players. The point is that you have a credible event that has different countries and possible "Cinderella stories" to talk about. To have the person's friends start a brawl about the accusations is the one thing that you don't need before the event even starts.

If you want a good event it has to be fair and be hosted by people that are trustworthy. To have people that manipulate game and are generally shady is something that is a false advertisement for the event. Has nothing to do with fear. Fear who?

When gbwead wintraded in an official tour he got punishment. Did this player get any punishment whatsoever? And yes you can't intefere at who hosts what unofficial. I totally get that. The part that concerns me is what action was taken about this wintrading in ladder. Cause the player is still playing this game and is about to co-host or whatever his role will be. Do they still have the unique crowns that other players have struggled so much to get?

If a person is a known and proven wintrader. He shouldn't even be in the mix of hosting anything even close to a competitive event. The only thing u should be considering is to ban the proven wintrader who still is able to play this game while manipulating the ranked system and the untradable rewards that you guys give away. I don't think you moderators understand how bad publicity this thing gives you. Yes you can tell one of the most recognized players in the game to not participate and he might not. But eyl is always the captain of his country and the main reason we had team Korea in the past. So he is the one advertising this game and it's events. I too think so. But I doubt in this game both are gonna rise in 1 month. People take some time to adapt. I think sun Pokemons will rise first. Then in the next 2-3 months, serperior and weezing are gonna follow.. that's what I believe

Since the new additions are to UU. I suggest apart from keeping an eye to serperior and feraligatr to also having a look at sun. Which said sun is the reason that I remain skeptical about serperior being an offensive Uber. Chlorophyll Venusaur might prove a way more difficult beast to handle and it also checks serperior. Serperior while strong and being able to cripple checks like crobat seems on paper that it can be somewhat handled. But this is not a definitive opinion. The tough thing about it is that the tier is dead. So I urge people to help out in the testing process

Having roost helps a lot with this problem and that's why people run it.. they can take the hit they want to take, heal and pivot out. And that's why people have started to run it more. I don't expect it to have like 20% usage or something but it has good uses in OU.

Empoleon is really really good and valuable but it is also a way in for some good threats in the tier. It will go up for sure, but in the case it doesn't it's not meta breaking nor overpowered. About Machamp if people look at the games and use it or play against it they will realise that it is also a good Pokemon but nowhere near BL material aswell. It can be handled with various ways and it is also easy to revenge kill

You are proving my point in a way, UU right now is a very boring, wall favoured meta. What your calc shows is that in conditions with rocks on the field Machamp gets a small chance to KO good physical defending walls. So therefore the pokemon is now a reliable wallbreaker that doesn't break through the tier. And is slow enough to be able to revenge killed. These calculations show to me that the pokemon is not banworthy, but it is a new good option that can fit in many play styles. So we get a good Pokemon now. Not an OP pokemon.

I don't understand why we are suspect testing Machamp in UU without a proper meta at the moment while we expect more changes to come to us soon. The timing is stupid. What if you guys find it to be banworthy and in some weeks a bunch of new stuff come out and it's not banworthy again. Testing should start after the updates are finished. On a sidenote I personally believe that it will be manageable even in the current meta or the meta after the changes. There is a wide variety in UU that safely forces it out because it gets threatened to be revenge killed. Similar to heracross that has 1 clear check but losses momentum after a KO. The 2 defensive ghost types in the tier can manage Machamp. So there isn't a discussion in my opinion.
