I don't even really play lower tiers and it bothers me. Something will drop to NU for like 2 months and immediately go up, and then 2 months after this it will be in contention to drop again.. Completely changing the meta over and over. This kinda locks the NU player-base into: Those who are passionate about the tier, those who want to play all tiers, And those who are rich and can adapt to these shifts on the fly (not many competitive PVP players) which also locks how much it can actually grow. I personally thought of some sort of clause where if something drops it can't go back up for X amount of time. Curious on other people's ideas. (I am no longer TC so this is not TC asking for some discussion on this, it just hasn't been removed from my profile lol)

Okay, how about you provide points and argue for them then? I am not disagreeing or agreeing with you I just think it's quite silly to say such a statement and not try and educate people if it's truly what you believe.

As a former TC member, I can say that I had you blocked while I was in TC (and still do), and I know many other TC members have you blocked. You spam threads with nonsense and steer the conversation in an unproductive manner. I know you mean no harm, but that doesn't mean I have to willingly expose myself to what you say. You actively ignored me many times when I refuted your points and continued on as if you were some sort of rogue AI. I am not the only person with an experience like this. You need to stop being so aggressive and actually back your points up with evidence.

11 key shifts for NU. Surely there is a way to make this less extreme, right? I have been slightly out the loop for a few months now but cmon this just seems insane.

Randoms are NOT good for competitive. It is a casual format. This guy is talking about win rate, strats and techniques. Which are pretty irrelevant in randoms, all you need to do is memorise movesets... (I know because I know many randoms players who have a massive spreadsheet just with the sets listed lol) This isn't a complex strategy. My advice would be get into OU, don't worry about teambuilding right away; just look at what tournament winners are using. Check multiple R1's of theirs, if you see a team pop up multiple times just copy that. Since it's a reliable team which they trust to win regularly. It's what every new player does, dip your toes into ranked and learn the metagame. Once you feel comfortable with that team copy two more. When you can use 3 copied teams correctly you should have a diverse and decent teampool, NOW is when you start to teambuild. Utilise the knowledge you picked up from these games with the copied teams, and pick a mon and build around it. Think of basic typing fundamentals and archetypes which you have seen (stall, balance, HO etc) , (you can also check smogon for this) The start will be rough, your teams will suck. But it really shouldn't take long due to the fact you have already picked up a decent amount of knowledge & experience with the copied teams.

You have no idea what you are talking about - at any point. It is a mystery how you are allowed to keep polluting threads with contain actual valuable discussion. Anyone who actually plays OU knows stall largely hasn't been affected. Balance has suffered the most by FAR.

For me every problem stems from the recovery moves being changed. Whenever I have tried to build any archetype which is not offense I feel pigeon holed into using Mien + Amoonguss because otherwise I either just get ran over by offense centered around Dnite / Gyara / Chomp etc. And If I don't use them I lose a war of attrition against balanced Regen cores using MienAmoong. If you ban Amoonguss you are just putting a bandage over an open wound gushing out blood. The real problem is the change to the recovery moves which came so left field, people who want to use Balance / Stall are pretty much forced to immediately have the first 2 slots as Mien / Amoonguss as they are the only form of longevity left in the tier. What is causing this? The fact every other god damn wall only has 8 recovery moves.
