It could be an option in the pokedex or somewhere else in the UI for easy access. Simple, click it and it shows you all the pokemon you can encounter in that area, if you haven't seen a certain pokemon then it will be a question mark or a silhouette until you encounter it for the first time. Would be a nice QoL change, thanks for reading!

I think its fair, and I really like that the exp is stored until you break the level cap, so its not wasted.
