  1. Seeing as this time I can give my opinion purely as a spectator I will give predictions a go. Keep in mind I probably don't even know who half of these people are now so probably best to not take my opinions to heart. 8th: 7th: 6th: 5th: 4th: 3rd: 2nd: 1st:
  2. I would also like to address the issue of the removal of defiant on the Empoleon line (and I guess to a lesser extent early bird on Shiftry, but I doubt that ability was being utilized in the same fashion). I thought the philosophy for not having uber mons was to not expend resources on something that becomes useless. Does this not also apply to physically attacking Empoleons? The whole idea was to use defiant for these sets. If the devs are so keen to be flexible on introducing and retaining whatever they want, you could argue a case for shifting defiant to the Empoleons line second ability slot (since it is currently empty). Obviously, you can still run swords dance Empoleon without defiant but the effectiveness of this set would plummet. I know this is a somewhat niche case and in the grand scheme of things this doesn't matter much but it would be nice to know if this design philosophy has changed to just "no ubers because we said so".
  3. So Gallade was too strong for OU, so it was nerfed but still had enough usage for OU. I don't really see the need to buff it, not every mon can be OU (especially top usage). Does this mean other mons should get a random buff to become OU? I know the devs want to follow the updates for the games but that's impossible unless they retroactively remove moves that were deleted in the current gens. Honestly, it is nice to see that the devs are willing to implement these changes but this change to Gallade is not true to the original games and could push it back to ubers.
  4. Gyarados (dd) Breloom (poison heal or bullet seed tech) Mantine/Tenta/Milotic (haze) Rotom (nasty plot) Suicune mirror (roar or cm with hidden power coverage) Serperior (leaf storm + giga/dpulse) Blissy/Chansey tanks +6 0 SpA Suicune Scald vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 105-124 (29.4 - 34.7%) -- 9.3% chance to 3HKO Spdef Roserade Spdef Shaymin Just a few things that should be able to take Suicune on (I'm sure there's a long list but I'm not going through it all). Keep in mind the move pool is quite shallow, and I assume most people are worried about VinCune. A more offensive variant could beat some of these but that would open itself up to being beaten in other ways.

  7. 1) B = A < E < D = C 2) P < O < M < N < J < K = L < H < I < F < G The MVP in my eyes is the person that contributes to the team the most, hence I prioritise winrate above all else (even if it is a single tier). The next critera for me would be how flexible the player was and if they showed a heavy detriment to trying to flex to another tier (could have brought more value playing their main tier). Edit: Forgot to mention, if a player decides to not play a week I would count it as a loss (since they did not contribute)
  8. I assume this decision was made to reduce the amount of battles reaching the 1 hour threshold, regardless I believe this to be a somewhat hasty decision. The current Pokemon, items and movepools available are not the same as generation 9, I suspect a large contributor to the recovery nerfs was the introduction of heavy duty boots in generation 8 and perhaps the inclusion of three new top tier unaware Pokemon that would be difficult to break without nerfing their recovery. If a change like this was made, why do we not have the boosted power of knock off as well? Megas and Z-crystals no longer exist (in gen 8/9) to facilitate that they provide counter play to the move. Some sort of explanation is required for the thought process behind this specific change as the metagame will be completely reshaped.
  9. IGN BlueBreath Don't expect much from me, I hardly play anymore. Timezone: some place on earth Tiers: take a guess
  10. Competitive, not contrary iirc was some translation error
  11. Gengar's new hidden ability is clearly too much for OU. Ban to ubers please.
  12. Crit killed my gengar, you can rebattle it if you go back to the hex you found it at.
