Tldr the devs think 'ubers' shouldnt be used, and for whatever reason TC just ignores it as a whole, qhich is honestly fair since not many use it properly in mmo. But yes I agree with you that this ability is by far broken and shouldnt be legal in OU, aside from memes like trapinch if even that.

The value from legendary to expert is almost insignificant to the point that its almost a placebo effect.

All depends on how much time you put into said shiny hunt, if you only do it for 15 minutes it will obviously take less fossils than someone that does it for a charm duration. Probably below 400/500 is a safe bet, not sure on how fast people fill boxes with eggs during a egg hunt, ill summon @awkways, he done a few, probably knows better

Idk what is worst, one dude complaining about randomness, or people comparing a guaranteed reward (which is also useless) vs a rng reward (pvp vanity vs legendary encounter), which happens to be needed, sure you can buy from GTL and whatnot, but I dont think that is relevant here.
