Yo guys, I just learnt that IV inheritance works different for Shinies here and that 2x31 is always inherited (or the highest, for that matter). Ive got an OT shiny magikarp with HP 31/ ATT 31/ Def 15/ SpATT 15/ SpDEF 15/ Speed 31 If I bred that with like a Shiny gyarados with HP X/ Att 31/ Def 31/ Spatt X/ SpDef 31/ Speed 31 and give everstone to gyara and HP Brace to Magikarp, does that mean def and spdef will be the highest stat present? Cause the other ones dont need to be averaged? Or am I misunderstanding something here? Also, is Male OT Shiny and Female NON-OT Shiny gonna produce a OT**** Shiny or a UNKNOWN OT one?

I'm hunting Dratini in Dragon's Den in Johto, where you can encounter it 5x, along with Magikarp. Pretty sure it knows Dragon Tail at that level and I'm now worried it will end the fight once I see it, hahahaha. Any good way to prevent that from happening?

Was just wondering what could be interesting in the near future. Maybe I also don't see the potential of certain things, like Toxic Boost Zangoose, is that actually a thing? Or just coincidence it hasn't been released yet (as an alpha, thus access to the HA). Interested in all tiers, OU and UU specifically. Thanks!

Hey 🙂 I find it kinda sad that the only way to effectively run the Elite 4 is to use a cheese team (aka tricking choice scarf and using either calm mind, belly drum or dragon dance to boost up). There is always a "optimal" team, like best gym rerun teams, but this feels kinda lame. I think it would be great if there was a mode that doesn't allow items used during fights (potions, revives etc), but you get your party healed after a win, just like the 1st time you're doing it in story. Maybe make it pay a little less cash at the end of it, or no BP, or something else to compensate. Maybe even introduce it as a 2nd mode, next to the way we know it now.

Hey guys, yeah, that kinda post - is there any information on what potentially bugs the encounter rate? Like a certain particle effect or something? An ability? I got both Suicune and Raikou in roughly 2h of farming grass patches. I didn't get Entei yet, farming on the grass patch on route 48. It's been two weeks now and well over 30h. Did I just get THAT lucky before? Cause it starts to feel kinda off

Saw some complaints here and on reddit, just wanted to give some input on that. It adds nice recurring content to the game (in the forms of every month another dog/cat/whatever in Johto which you will eventually wanna chase), is potentially very interesting for PvP (if something truly is/stays OP - will need nerfing eventually) and is, needless to say, incredibly fitting to the game itself. I like this a lot and I also like the choices made so far regarding what to add a lot. Thoughts?

Aight fellas, let's get into simp mode real quick and acknowledge that the dev team absolutely nailed the whole experience and knocked it out of the park. Every custom fight is made so well (Ho-oh was actually nuts, ngl), I love being able to catch and use Suicune (legendary that appeases the collector in me while being a good choice as it's not an OP legendary). This has been a great experience not only regarding nostalgia (which could have been expected), but also from a game-design point of view. I feel it could have been a tad harder at some points, but that's maybe just a Johto thing or maybe it would have been too hard for casuals not accustomed to PvP-stuff etc (I feel like the later gyms were real ez and the rival was a joke mostly, E4 was a breeze for me and Lance seemed middle of the road, a lot easier than Cynthia but harder than the Hoenn or Unova guy). Just wanted to give my praise regarding the difficulty topic that comes up so often here. I really appreciate the work the devs put in to make this game feel very rewarding upon completion/reaching goals when it comes to story mode. It's also way more interesting gameplay-wise, as the fights are not just made harder in a cheap way, e.g. giving 1st gym Kanto leader Brock stone edge or Johto Falkner Brave Bird + perfect IV/EV distribution, but actually more interesting move- and team setups that require actually smart input by the player. This also includes the level-cap, which I like a lot for the same reasons. In addition to that, it ultimately makes the game a lot more interesting, too. Taking the Fuchsia gym for instance, the whole poison+confusion shenanigans that Koga was obviously built for in the original games actually comes to fruitition in Pokemmo, whereas that gym was a free first try for any player in the original games, as you just one shot everything/deal way too much damage to his supposedly tanky ace pokemon. I just felt the need to say this, as the difficulty topic seems to be a controversial one - there definitely is a big part of the community of this game that not just mildly prefers the challenge but vastly favours it. Been loving Johto so far

Just wanted to drop a general "thank you!" for posts like this. I have several friends who recently started playing here and posts like this make it a lot easier to start into competitive. Is there another up to date guide for PvP regarding viable sets of Pokemon? Not necessarily team setups, just viable sets for each (say OU) mon, I just know of the not up to date and discontinued one of Orange Maniac from 2017 or whatnot

I think that's fair. Everyone of us put some serious hours into this, I'm sure with all the great gyms I've seen here. That little overdue time wouldn't make a difference in comparison. Sure wish I could bring up the same motivation and time commitment for my uni stuff, lul.

Hey folks, just a heads up: If I breed 2 Shinies, the offspring is 100% shiny, correct? I have both Magicarp and Gyarados as OT in my dex - if I bought a shiny female magi/Gyara and a male shiny breeder from GTL, will the offspring be OT, OT* or UNKNOWN OT? Thanks everyone =)))

Have been a fan of the dragon type since I was a child, growing up with the 1st gen games and I have always been a great fan of the Dratini line - for obvious reasons - with dragonair being my favorite. Although this place is in Unova (and thus was very new to me), I feel a strange sense of nostalgia when I visit here, especially with my blue friend. So, here I am, chilling at the holy Dragonspiral Tower with my holy halo and my holy blue friend, hahaha. Thanks for the event, very cool idea! Good luck everyone!
