Hello there. I've recently started building some sort of team for competitive play. I started with something for UU. Altough some players told me that OU should be better for "getting into it", I tend to like the underdogs.
Stupidly I did not read any thread regarding tournament announcements and when I did, I realized some of my pokemon/strategies were banned.
For instance, I EV trained a sandslash to abuse it's sand veil ability with brightpowder/double team and then I learned it's usually banned. And houndoom is also banned in some privately held tournaments.
This was my team so far:
Breloom
EV: 252 Atk/ 252 Spd
Spore//Mach Punch//Rock Throw//Bullet Seed
Slowking
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 Def
Slack Off//Psychic//Thunder Wave//Surf
Houndoom
EVs: 252 Atk/ 252 Spd
Flamethrower//Crunch//Roar//????
Crobat
EVs: 252 Sp.Atk// 252 Spd
Sludge Bomb//Confuse Ray//Aerial Ace//Giga Drain
Clefable
EVs: 252 HP//128 Def//128 Sp.Def
Softboiled//Thunder Wave// Heal Bell// Cosmic Power
Sandslash
EVs: 252 Atk// 252 Spd
Earthquake//Sandstorm//Focus Punch//Rock Throw
Considering that both Sandslash and maybe Houndoom are gonna get cut, what pokemon do you recommend.
I was thinking Flareon for Houndoom, but for Sandslash I don't know. Donphan would be the wise choice but I don't like it much.
Any suggestions for the movesets are also welcome.
