  1. Hmm, it's almost as if these two things are related. I applaud your idealism, Razzor. The fact is, I came into this topic expecting to see a bunch of troll replies about how you "just want to lord over people" and stuff, because the chat cancer spreads even into these forums. But if people like you won't step up, who will? Of course moderating channel chat will be hard, because we've been apathetic for three years, so that "chat = cancer" is considered a norm. We let it happen. You can change that, however slow it is in the beginning.
  2. As long as we're stating the obvious, you seem like an unfriendly person. Pls leave
  3. The summer's here, and for a lot of you, that means more free time to run around outside, get girlfriends . . . or play the crap out of this game. If you've come to this topic meaning to do an alt run, I'm here for you; it's a lot more fun with companions. I have a schedule set in place, so that we get both regions done in four sessions. They'll be done in two to three hour intervals, taking roughly ten hours total. They will begin on Monday night at 8:00 for people on Eastern Time (New York), 7:00 for Central Time (Chicago), 6:00 in Mountain Time (Denver), and 5:00 in Pacific Time (San Francisco). This should give everyone enough time to pull a proper session without falling asleep, at least in America. (Sorry everyone else. My life simply requires this schedule). There are four evening sessions in total: Monday: First four Hoenn badges (yes, we're starting in Hoenn) Tuesday: Fifth Hoenn badge, first three Kanto badges Wednesday: Next three Kanto badges, sixth Hoenn badge Thursday: Final Hoenn badges, final Kanto badges If you're coming to these sessions, come with the following five expectations: 1). Meet at the rendezvous point. At the designated meeting time, we all connect on channel 4. We take a ten-minute grace period to wait for anyone running late, in the pokemon center of the badge-town we left off in. Monday: Littleroot Town: Birch's bag Tuesday: Lavaridge Town Pokecenter Wednesday: Vermillion City Pokecenter Thursday: Fortree City Pokecenter 2). Move with the pack. After the 10-minute grace period, we go forward (yes- even if I'm not present either). The group is expected to stay together; that's the point of this. However, if one person is consistently lagging behind, the group may come to the consensus to move ahead without guilt. Keep up. 3). Speed is good. Don't try to fight every Bug Catcher, Swimmer, or penniless bum you meet if the battle is optional. Expect to skip a few side quests. This is what's nice about traversing two regions: you can actually get away with it and still have competent pokemon. 4). Help a brother out. If there is an easy solution to an otherwise annoying "solo player" dilemma, take it. I might give trusty companions a level 30 electric pokemon with Thunderbolt, Rock Smash, Strength, and Flash, for game plot convenience . . . along with 20 Max Repels. And you might trade Kadabras with each other to get yourselves an early Alakazam. Be part of the solution. 5). Heed your travel guide. I've got an unhealthy obsession with alt running; I've been doing it a long time. Expect me to drop regular remarks about where to go next, and what to do. My goal isn't to lord over anyone- only to get the four-day run finished in a timely and effective manner. Write here to let me know if you're interested, because I've been doing this regardless of whether or not anyone shows. My IGN is Doctor XXII. Cheers!
