After you've beaten the main story, Kanto only has 7 rematchable gyms, unlike the other regions which have 8. In pokemon g/s/c we find out that Blue takes over the Viridian city gym in Giovanni's absence so lorewise it would make sense

the IVs the egg inherits are an average between the IVs of the two parents, e.g. if one parent has 10 att and the other 20, the IVs will usually be 15, though there is a small chance for them to be 10 or 20. This means that if the parent's IVs overlap they are guaranteed to inherit it. You can also equip braces on the pokemon to ensure a corresponding IV gets passed down.

I think it'd be tough for them to integrate fully 3D maps. Although I imagine that it would be too impossible to simply implement the gen 6 battle UI along with gen6 pokemon into the game. My guess is that if we don't get a kalos region, we'll eventually be able to get its pokemon through other means, maybe dungeons?

Mine used to crash during that cut scene as well. But after I tried setting the music and sound effects to 0 it worked.

do you have a BW rom loaded? those are needed to play in any region

But it doesn't even prevent it, you can just make another account to do this and its still perfectly within the rules
